MADRID -- Neymar and Luis Suarez will lead the attack again when Barcelona visits Borussia Moenchengladbach in its first Champions League game since losing Lionel Messi to an injury. Forrest Lamp Jersey .The two forwards led Barcelona to a 5-0 win at Sporting Gijon in the Spanish league on Saturday, when Messi was already sidelined because of a groin ailment, and on Wednesday they will try to help the Catalan club end Moenchengladbachs 11-game winning streak at home in all competitions.Neymar has scored four goals in the last four matches, while Suarez has eight goals in his nine games this season.Barcelona has won only once in its last six matches against Bundesliga teams in Germany. One day before the match, Moenchengladbach coach Andre Schubert had his contract extended until 2019.Another German club with an important match against Spanish opposition is Bayern Munich, which plays at Atletico Madrid in a rematch of last seasons semifinals.Heres a look at Wednesdays matches in the Champions League:---GROUP AThree months after playing against each other at the European Championship, the Xhaka brothers meet again.Granit Xhaka should line up for Arsenal against his older brother Taulant, a defender for Swiss team Basel. At Euro 2016, Granit played for Switzerland while Taulant featured for Albania after switching his international allegiance in 2013.Both teams started with 1-1 draws, although Arsenal got the result at Paris Saint-Germain in possibly the English teams toughest match in the group.Basel, which beat Chelsea and drew at both Manchester United and Liverpool in the past five seasons in European competition, is leading the Swiss league by 13 points thanks to its 100 percent domestic record.PSG, still without injured winger Hatem Ben Arfa, is away to Bulgarian side Ludogorets Razgrad.---GROUP BNapoli was the only group winner in the opening round and has a chance to solidify its lead when it hosts Benfica. The Italian side will be relying on 22-year-old Poland forward Arkadiusz Milik, who has filled in admirably after Gonzalo Higuains Italian-record transfer to Juventus for 90 million euros ($99 million). He scored both goals in the comeback win at Dynamo Kiev and added two more two-goal matches in Serie A.In Napolis previous Champions League appearance in 2013-14, the club won all three of its home matches against Borussia Dortmund, Marseille and Arsenal, yet still failed to advance despite collecting 12 points -- more than any other side that has missed the qualification cut.Benfica, which conceded a late equalizer to Besiktas at home in its opener, is likely to remain without forward Jonas because of an injury.Dynamo Kiev will try to rebound at Besiktas.---GROUP CBarcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen will be making an emotional return to his hometown of Moenchengladbach.I absolutely cannot wait for it, he said. I had a great time there and spent my entire career there apart from the last two years. Borussia is my first love and that will always be the case.Ter Stegen made 108 Bundesliga appearances for Borussia from 2011-14.Celtic lost 7-0 to Ter Stegens Barcelona in the opener, and things dont get much easier for the Scottish champions.Next up for Celtic is Manchester City, which is on a 10-match winning run under new coach Pep Guardiola. One of its best performances so far was a 4-0 win over Borussia Moenchengladbach.City will be without one of its leading players, Kevin De Bruyne, because of a hamstring injury.---GROUP DBayerns last three trips to Spain all ended in defeats and elimination in the semifinals of the Champions League. It happened against Real Madrid, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid, its opponent again on Wednesday.Captain Philipp Lahm downplayed any talk of revenge for the match at the Vicente Calderon Stadium. We cant make up for the loss last season, he said. Our job is to get points and then we could speak about a good start to this years campaign. But we know what to expect and it wont be easy.Bayern and Atletico won their opening matches and will be fighting for first place in the group.Bayern has won all eight matches under Carlo Ancelotti, the best start for a new Bayern coach. Ancelotti was in charge of Real Madrid when it beat Atletico in the 2014 final.Atletico will be without midfielder Augusto Fernandez, who tore a right knee ligament in the Spanish league on Sunday.Rostov hosts PSV Eindhoven in Russia in the other group match.---AP Sports Writers Steve Douglas in Manchester, Nesha Starcevic in Frankfurt, Samuel Petrequin in Paris and Andrew Dampf in Rome contributed to this report.---Tales Azzoni on Twitter: His work can be found at Junior Seau Jersey . 10 Texas A&Ms offence dominated as usual against SMU. The catch: It needs a lot of money, and it needs it fast. J.J. Raterink has seen a lot in more than a decade of professional arena football. The 35-year-old former University of Wyoming quarterback broke Iowa Barnstormers franchise records set by Kurt Warner and later played for the Los Angeles Kiss, a team owned by rock stars Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley. In addition to two stints with each of those teams, Raterink has plied his trade with the Bossier-Shreveport Battle Wings, Chicago Rush, Fairbanks Grizzlies, Kansas City Command, Las Vegas Outlaws, Quad City Steamwheelers and Spokane Shock over the years.Still, Raterink wasnt quite prepared for the challenge that awaited him in the first season of the China Arena Football League, when he lined up alongside Guangzhou Power teammates who had begun playing the sport only weeks earlier. In addition to speaking a different language than many players, he learned that things can get lost in translation even with players who speak English.I would say something in practice like, Take the top off the defense, Raterink said. We know that as someone who runs a deep route and backs the safeties up so we can throw underneath. But one player looked at me and took his helmet off -- because thats the top of their equipment.Indeed, the CAFL was uncharted territory, and nothing Raterink learned in Alaska, Louisiana, Nevada or anywhere else in the football world could fully prepare him for it.Trying to balance everything while trying to learn a little bit of Chinese myself was interesting, to say the least, said Raterink, who also served as a commentator on broadcasts for other teams games. I had never been around a challenge quite like that in 10 years of arena football in the States.Arena football is a high-octane derivative of its outdoor counterpart. The playing field is roughly one-fourth the size of a regular gridiron, with dasher boards around the perimeter of the artificial surface. Each team fields eight players at a time, instead of the typical 11. Its a high-speed game of human pinball that lends itself to more passing and scoring, with no punting and far less emphasis on running backs.Essentially, its American football boiled down to pure, unadulterated high fructose corn syrup. The CAFL was founded by Martin Judge, a minority owner of the Arena Football Leagues Philadelphia Soul, with the goal of bringing the sport to the untapped Chinese market. Close to half the 132 players on the six team rosters for the leagues 2016 inaugural season were China natives, and rules required teams to use at least four Chinese players at all times. With just two weeks of training camp to prepare for the season, native players were thrust into a situation in which they had to navigate a language barrier with their American coaches and quickly acclimate to an extremely physical brand of sport.Although quarterbacks and coaches used hand signals to supplement instructions spoken in English, it was a steep learning curve for Chinese players. Beijing Lions head coach Clint Dolezel said his teams native players were greatly motivated and improved rapidly. To help facilitate them, Dolezel said he strongly considered teaching ability when selecting his American players. With a shared love for the game -- and salaries typically ranging from $1,000 to $2,000 per game -- players from all sides were incentivized to make things work. After suffering two key injuries late in the season, the Beijing relied more heavily on native players in the China Bowl championship game against the Qingdao Clipper on Nov. 6. The Lions won 35-34 with a field goal on the last play of the game to cap a perfect 6-0 season.I cant express how much we grew attached to our Chinese players, Dolezel said. These kids wanted [to win the championship] bad, and we wanted to win it so bad for them. They were in tears after we won. Even if these kids never play another snap, they will remember this the rest of their lives.By many accounts, Chinese fans were curiously receptive to the CAFL product. The first games attracted a crowd of more than 11,000 in Beijing, and most games drew approximately 5,000 to 7,000 people. Spectators initially cheered the loudest on kickoffs and field goals, but before long they were booing the officials just like American fans -- though they also came to appreciate touchdowns and the elaborate celebrations that followed. While the NFL is restrictive in regard to jubilation, the CAFL wholeheartedly embraces it.That identity really began to take shape when the Shanghai Skywalkers beat the Shenzhen Naja 61-48 in Week 3.Shanghai quarterback Shane Austin threw nine touchdown passes. Five of them went to former University of Hawaii and AFL teammate Mike Washington, while the other four went to wideout Shane Kauleinamuku. Not only did the Skywalkers light up the scoreboard in Qingdao, but Washington and Kauleinamuku stirred up a buzz on social media with some inspired celebrations. The duo conjured up a fencing match, took a page from the WWE with a DDT pantomime and added some 1980s break dancing for good measure. After that stuff went viral, I think we set the bar for every team to get creative, said Washington, 30, who led the league with 47 receptions and ranked second with 15 touchdown catches -- one behind Kauleinamuku. There were no penalties whatsoever. The refs were cool with it. [The fans] loved that stuff. It made the audience more engaged in the game. The genie was out of the lamp, and other teams soon followed suit. It wasnt just American players who got into the act. Raterink said Guangzhou wide receiver Qiu Xun Da made the most of his opportunity when he scored his first touchdown of the season. He was bouncing all over the end zone, Raterink said. He did like four different touchdown celebrations that he had seen.Instead of organizing a traditional home-and-away schedule foor its six teams, the CAFL opted to promote a Super Series tour over the course of six weeks. Antonio Gates Jersey. Three games were played each weekend as the teams made their way to each of the six CAFL cities. After a two-week training camp in Beijing, the first games were contested Oct. 1, also in the nations capital. The tour made subsequent stops in Dalian, Qingdao, Guangzhou and Shenzhen and culminated with the championship round in Shanghai. In order to expedite the Chinese players football learning and the Americans cultural growth, each team paired imports and natives as roommates. The tour format was also unique in that all six teams stayed in the same hotels and traveled and ate meals together. It created a brotherhood of sorts among the athletes, regardless of team affiliation or nationality. It was unique in that you might be eating breakfast on game day with the enemy, said Austin, 27, who led the league with 1,436 passing yards and 35 touchdown passes. Many players have stayed in touch across the Pacific since the season ended. Washington said his roommate, wide receiver Jong Yu Jeong, has sent messages asking about equipment, strategy and technique. Several Dalian Dragon Kings teammates still joke around together in a WeChat group.Dolezel said he made it a point to give his players a day off at each stop on the tour in order to see the sights and learn about the culture of each locale. You went to a new city and kind of got refreshed and got to see what they had to offer, Dolezel said. Every city was unique in its own way.One of the biggest cultural differences American players noticed was in regard to food choices. Washington, for instance, came away stunned and dazzled by a cook at a Beijing street market. The guy had a duck, took it out of the cage, chopped it, skinned it, [and threw it] right there in the fryer in under a minute, Washington said. That is the craziest thing Ive ever seen.If you arent in the mood for duck, countless other new choices were available to American players, including goose, shark, yak, monkey brains and fried varieties of scorpions, seahorses and beetles. Its not unusual for food to be prepared and served immediately after an animal is killed -- something extremely rare in the United States. Although Washington primarily eats a plant-based diet at home, he was more than willing to try some of the various native Chinese cuisines. The most exotic thing I ate was cow stomach and cow eyes, Washington said. That was, uhhh, challenging.Dalian defensive end Yan Siguang has already seen American football make significant strides in China. The native of Chengdu began playing the sport six years ago when he moved to Shanghai. He wanted to compete recreationally in a team sport, and a web search of the Chinese word for football incorrectly led him to rugby. He briefly tried the venerable English game, but it didnt captivate him.Yan then discovered a group that played tackle football without pads in Chinas most populous city. Fortunately, he avoided injury and subsequently joined a team with an American coach that used the proper equipment. He learned the three-point stance and began playing defensive end. Before long, he was hooked. When I play football, I feel a lot of passion, said Yan, a 6-foot-1, 209-pounder who also goes by the American name Owen. Football has taught me a lot that I bring to my life. You can get beat down, but youve got to get up and keep going. Never give up. Keep fighting. I bring that to my life. I feel it makes my life easier, makes my job easier, makes me stronger and tougher. In football, the team is like a big family. Theyve got each others [back]. They protect each other.Yan serves as a captain for the Shanghai Warriors, who captured the outdoor American Football League of China championship earlier this year. He learned about the indoor variety of the sport by word of mouth from teammates. He tried out for the CAFL but didnt expect to be selected. As it turns out, he underestimated his ability. Not only was he drafted, he turned out to be one of the top Chinese players in the fledgling league. In addition to playing defensive end, Yan also saw action at fullback and on special teams. Although the Dragon Kings went winless in the six-game season, he considers the experience a dream come true. Yan, who is 33 and still works his day job in pharmaceutical sales, would like to explore coaching and broadcasting opportunities in football down the road. But he wants to play as long as possible and draws inspiration from 40-year-old Dalian teammate Steve Tang.Given his enthusiasm for football, its no surprise that he sees great potential for the sport in the Far East.I hope it can grow bigger and bigger, Yan said. In China, we welcome new things. Football is a magic sport. If people can understand the rules, then its easy for them to get into it and learn to love the game. The CAFL plans to add four teams in 2017 and utilize a traditional home-and-away schedule. Given the opportunity to come back next season, each of the Americans interviewed for this article said he would be interested in returning:Washington: Definitely. China was amazing. I enjoyed every bit of it.Austin: Im 100 percent on board. I had a great time, and Im looking forward to see the sport grow there. I think the fans are going to eat it up.Dolezel: Id love to go back and see those guys again. Theyre only going to get better, and the [exposure] they had this year will bring a bunch of new players. I dont think weve even touched the tip of the iceberg as far as the amount of talent there.Raterink: As long as my health stays up, I would love to go back. It was the greatest two months of my life. MANCHESTER, England -- Boos reverberated around a far-from-full Etihad Stadium as Manchester Citys players lined up for the Champions League anthem before their group game against Borussia Moenchengladbach. Xavi Hernandez Jersey .Pep Guardiola already has achieved plenty during his short time at City -- seven wins from his first seven games in charge is evidence of that -- but theres a sizeable task that still needs fixing: Getting the clubs fans to embrace the Champions League.City has had an uneasy relationship with Europes elite competition since becoming a regular presence in it from 2011.Initially, it was because of disappointing early results, perhaps due to a bigger focus on winning the Premier League. More recently, the issue has been UEFA, the Champions League organizer, which City fans perceive to have treated the club harshly over Financial Fair Play sanctions handed out in 2014.Also that year, many CSKA Moscow fans managed to watch a home game against City in group play despite the Russian club supposedly being hit with an empty-stadium order as punishment for racist behavior by its fans.Since then, City fans have booed the anthem that UEFA uses before Champions League games, while the club has regularly struggled to fill the stadium on European nights. It was the same old story on Wednesday, with only 30,270 spectators inside the 55,000-seater Etihad for a game City won 4-0 with some irresistible attacking football.Guardiola is in his first season at City and wants the fans to start afresh with the Champions League to give the team the best possible chance of winning the competition. They must forget what happened in the past, Guardiola said. The stadium was not completely full so the only thing we can do is play good so the people at home say, `Wow, next time I will be there. We have to be so proud to play in this competition. Our fans have to know we need them in the Champions League. In the Premier League, everyone comes here but in the Champions League they dont. We need them to compete against the best teams in the world. With our supporters and their songs, we are stronger. There were reasons why so many seats remained empty on Wednesday, primarily because the game was rescheduled at late notice after torrential rain forced a postponement of the original fixture on Tuesday. That seriously affected the number in the away contingent, which slumped from 1,600 fans to less than 1,000.Will Guardiolas message to the fans get through in time for Citys other home games in Group C, against Celtic and Barcelona? In three or four weeks are coming the best football player ever (Lionel Messi) with Luis Suarez and Neymar and Barcelona, and we have to enjoy it, Guardiola said. The people are listening so I am sure they are going to do that. Those who did turn up for the Moenchengladbach game would have been happy they made the effort. Guardiola said it was the teams best overall display since he took over, with chances created with ease and regularity.Sergio Aguero scored a hat trick and there was a promising debut for Germany international Ilkay Gundogan, a late call-up to midfield after David Silva pulled out on the morning of the game after feeling uncomfortable in training. Its 21 goals in seven games so far for City, which can only get smoother under Guardiola. Thats a terrifying prospect for Citys rivals. There was one moment midway through the first half that summed up the new City. Winger Jesus Navas won a 50-50 tackle in central midfield, span and played a throughball to left back Aleksandar Kolarov, who found himself in the center-forward position. Its total football under Guardiola. The way (City) played in these six, seven games, he said, I am so confident I am going to enjoy this year. The WWE stars return to the cage was confirmed over the weekend and he has now revealed that he will fight veteran puncher Hunt at UFC 200 in July.Lesnar, who turns 39 next month, was a major player in the world of WWE until a unique switch to UFC nine years ago. In a short eight-fight career he won the UFC heavyweight title but hasnt fought since losing to Alistair Overeem in 2011. LONDON -- Liverpool roared back from a goal down to beat Arsenal 4-3 on Sunday in a thrilling finish to the opening weekend of the new Premier League season. Isaiah Wynn Jersey .Theo Walcott put Arsenal ahead in the 31st, less than two minutes after missing a penalty, only for Philippe Coutinho to equalize for Liverpool in first-half stoppage time with a spectacular free kick.It proved to be a turning point as Liverpool tore Arsenals makeshift defense to shreds after the interval, with superb goals by Adam Lallana, Coutinho and Sadio Mane giving the visitors a 4-1 lead by the 63rd minute.A solo goal by substitute Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and a glancing header by defender Calum Chambers in the 75th hauled Arsenal back into the game, but there was no equalizer in a frantic finale at Emirates Stadium.Boos from the home crowd at the final whistle made clear the fans feelings about the performance, along with their unhappiness at a lack of high-profile signings by manager Arsene Wenger to strengthen a team that finished second behind champion Leicester last season. For Liverpool manager Juergen Klopp, his sides second-half performance in an astonishing match showed there is plenty of potential for silverware this season. On a sunlit afternoon, Arsenal started brightly enough but Alexis Sanchez and Aaron Ramsey failed to make the most of a couple of half-chances.Instead, it needed an ugly challenge by Liverpool left back Alberto Moreno on Walcott in the area to potentially change the game. The Arsenal winger picked himself up to take the resulting penalty but his spot-kick was met with an excellent diving save by goalkeeper Simon Mignolet. The let-off lasted only 68 seconds, though, as Arsenal returned to the attack. After a crunching interception by Francis Coquelin on Lallana, Alex Iwobi fed the ball wide to Walcott, who had been left completely unmarked by Moreno and was free to fire an angled shot past Mignolet into the far corner.Liverpools first clear chance came five minutes before the break, when Roberto Firmino cut the ball back from the left for Georginio Wijnaldum to drill a shot straight at Petr Cech after Chambers had given away possession with a sloppy pass.Chambers was half of a new central defensive pairing with 20-year-old Rob Holding, as Gabriel Paulista and Per Mertesacker were injured and Frances Laurent Koscielny was rested. While Wijnaldum could have done better with his chance, Coutinhos free kick combined power and precision as it flew into the top left-hand corner, giving Cech no chance. And there was little the Arsenal `keeper could do as Liverpool stunned the hosts in the opening minutes of the second half.Lallana put Liverpool ahead with a stylish finish, collecting Wijnaldums cross on his chest before rifling a shot between Cechs legs.Coutinho drilled home his second goal of the day from point-blank range after Liverpool finished a lesson in passing football with Nathaniel Clyne sending a powerful low ball across the face of the Arsenal goal.It was very soon 4-1 to Klopps transformed side after a superb run by Mane, who broke down the right flank and raced past two Arsenal defenders before firing a rasping left-foot shot into the far corner.Oxlade-Chamberlain went one better just two minutes later, beating three Liverpool players before rifling the ball through a crowded area and past Mignolet. And the goal bonanza continued as Chambers beat Mignolet with a glancing header from substitute Santi Cazorlas floated free kick. But it wasnt enough for his team, or the home fans. Jordan Matthews Jersey .Y. -- Marcell Dareus and the Buffalo Bills defence made life miserable for Super Bowl MVP Joe Flacco. Rex Burkhead Jersey .com) - The Chicago Blackhawks aim for their third three-game winning streak of the season when they host the struggling Edmonton Oilers in Sundays battle at the United Center. . Speaking Thursday on TSN 1050 Thursday, the Leafs GM also touched on the questions surrounding the teams leadership and the struggles of his big-name free-agent signing. “Its not from lack of effort from the coaching staff. TOKYO -- Five sports, including surfing and skateboarding, moved a step closer to being included in the Tokyo 2020 Games after being described as a dynamic and exciting package by the IOC.Skateboarding, surfing, karate, sports climbing and baseball/softball were all recommended for inclusion by the IOC. An Olympic program commission report released on Friday said the five are a blend of the traditional and emerging, youth-focused events, and all have international and local appeal. The IOC will make the final decision on the five sports in Rio de Janeiro on Aug. 3, two days before the opening ceremony of the 2016 Games. In assessing the case for inclusion, the commission considered gender equality, yyouth appeal and their legacy value. Kenny Britt Jersey. The inclusion of the new sports would add 18 events and 474 athletes, with equal numbers of women and men for all sports except baseball/softball, because softball teams have 15 players, whilst baseball teams have 24.The report said the new sports in Tokyo would not threaten the inclusion of existing Olympic sports or be binding on future host cities.Baseball and softball, which are making a combined bid to return, were dropped after the 2008 Beijing Games. Australian Open champion Jordan Spieth believes his playoff win at Royal Sydney is the exact pressure test he needed to push on into 2017 and take his game to another level. Luke Shaw Jersey .While it was two clutch par putts that saw Spieth join locals Cameron Smith and Ashley Hall in a three-way playoff on Sunday, a perfect tee- and second shot at the first extra hole pleased the American far more as he lifted the Stonehaven Cup for a second time. With two wins earlier in 2016, Spieth had already enjoyed the kind of season any touring professional would be proud of.But he knows what a second triumph in Sydney could mean after he took the momentum of his 2014 Australian Open victory into the Hero World Challenge where he recorded a 10-stroke win, and then powered to one of the most memorable seasons on record.I hope to take this into a couple of weeks from now, improve on areas that need improvement and sustain what was solid, Spieth said Sunday evening. From there, then address what the goals are for the next year. Im not exactly sure yet, thats normally what we do in the month of December is figure out what were looking forward to in 2017.But I think a lot can be drawn back on 2014 into 15. So its really nice to, again; the way we played the playoff I think is going to do wonders for me. Ive been in a little bit of a stall hitting shots when they mattered.[At] Colonial, I saved myself with a lot of hit those two shots in there right where I wanted to hit them. And then to make the putt with it is really big going forward, and its something I can draw on all next year is look back on the way this one was finished out.Spieth has been constantly reminded of his meltdown at The Masters since it occurred back in April, and he was again asked about it after his victory at Royal Sydney. While he didnt buy into talk the fashion in which the win came could help bury his Masters capitulation, Spieth said it augured well if a similar situation arose down the track.Yeah probably, its kind of old news. Until I get back there [Augusta] again, Im sure it will come back to me again there, Ill get plenty of questions about it then, he said.Yeah I still had clutch swings, I just had one bad one. I didnt hit the ball at all well that week and was still leading by four or five shots with nine holes to goBut to answer your question, its been kind of something that, its very difficult to do. I mean you cant practice for being very nervous; you cant get on the range and say, okay, get nervous -- it doesnt work that way.It just comes through experience and it just seemed that my tendencies were always to get underneath the ball and miss it right. And so I just committed to my swings the last couple of times today, in that playoff, and that is tough to do when the lefts trouble because you think youre going to hit it left - its uncomfortable. But they went right on line. Now I know that and I think thats going to do wonders going forward. Manchester United Jerseys . Meanwhile, there were huge victories for Sunderland and West Ham over fellow relegation rivals, leaving the battle to avoid the drop up for grabs with the bottom 11 teams separated by just six points. Eden Hazard and Fernando Torres scored second-half goals to seal a fourth straight victory for Chelsea, which climbed above Arsenal and Manchester City in the standings ahead of their games on Monday and Sunday respectively. Romelu Lukaku Jersey . The winner Saturday will remain in the elite 10-team field next year. "We talked about wanting to be disciplined and stick with our game plan and good things will come," Draisaitl said, who had two goals for the victors. .C. Lions has come to an end. Banks told TSN on Jan 2 that he had no interest in playing out the option year of his contract with the Lions in 2014, and he again made that clear in a conversation with Lions GM Wally Buono last week. JACKSONVILLE Muhammad Wilkerson Jersey , Fla. (AP) — The Jacksonville Jaguars suspended All-Pro cornerback Jalen Ramsey and defensive end Dante Fowler on Sunday for violating team rules and conduct unbecoming a Jaguars football player.

Neither one will make the trip to Minnesota on Tuesday for two days of joint practices and a preseason game. The teams play Saturday.

Fowler was involved in several fights Sunday, including one after practice with fellow defensive end Yannick Ngakoue. Ramsey shouted profanities at media members who captured the altercation on video and later threatened reporters with “war” for releasing the video. Ramsey made his threat via Twitter.

The team released a one-sentence statement Sunday evening announcing the suspensions. Coach Doug Marrone is expected to address the decision Tuesday.

The whole thing seemingly started during practice and carried off the field.

Ngakoue and Fowler exchanged words while leaving practice, prompting a skirmish in which no punches were thrown. Ngakoue and Fowler got into it again outside the practice-field gates and had to be pulled apart by teammates, coaches and security personnel. General manager Dave Caldwell could be seen leading Ngakoue away by the wrist.

The altercation came on the last of 11 consecutive practices in full pads and in sweltering heat and humidity. It also came a few minutes after a scuffle near the end of practice Marvin Harrison Jersey , when Fowler appeared to shove tight end James O’Shaughnessy out of bounds following a reception. Teammates rushed to break it up.

The suspension is the latest issue for Fowler, whose checkered past includes two arrests.

Fowler was arrested last year after confronting a 55-year-old man who made a comment about his driving. St. Petersburg police said Fowler exchanged words with the man before hitting him and knocking off his glasses. Fowler then stepped on the glasses before taking the man’s grocery bag and tossing it in a lake.

Fowler eventually pleaded no contest to misdemeanor charges of battery, criminal mischief and petty theft. The case was closed in March, with Fowler sentenced to a year of probation and 75 hours of community service.

The NFL suspended him without pay for the season opener Eddie Yarbrough Jersey , a one-game penalty that will cost him $214,000.

Fowler also was arrested in Miami Beach in March 2016 and charged with misdemeanor counts of assault against a police officer and resisting arrest without violence. The charges were later dropped. That arrest came a little more than two weeks after a video surfaced showing Fowler refereeing a fight between his girlfriend and an ex-girlfriend. He also has a long list of traffic violations.

Fowler missed the first two weeks of training camp while recovering from a shoulder injury. He was removed from the physically unable to perform list Saturday, so his altercation with Ngakoue came during his second day of practice.

Fowler, the third overall pick in the 2015 draft Rico Gathers Jersey , is in the final year of his rookie contract and due to make $3.64 million. He has 14 sacks the last two seasons, including two in the AFC championship game.

Ngakoue, a third-round pick in 2016 who beat out Fowler for the starting job as a rookie, is due to make $735 T.J. Green Jersey ,000 in base salary in 2018. With 20 sacks and 11 forced fumbles in two seasons, Ngakoue is considered one of the cornerstones of Jacksonville’s vaunted defense.

Ramsey is another key piece. The fifth overall pick in the 2015 NFL draft exchanged barbs with Baltimore receiver Steve Smith as a rookie and got ejected for fighting with Cincinnati receiver A.J. Green last season.

San Francisco 49ers second-round pick Dante Pettis has signed his four-year rookie contract with the team ahead of the start of practices on Thursday.

Pettis the last draft pick of the 49ers to sign his rookie deal with the team.

The wide receiver and kick returner out of the University of Washington appeared in 53 games over four years in Seattle. He caught 163 passes for 2,256 yards and 24 touchdowns. He also set an NCAA record with nine punt return touchdowns in his college career.

Pettis was a First-Team All-America selection and earned First-Team All-Pac-12 honors at both wide receiver and return specialist last year. He played in 13 games and caught 63 passes for 761 yards and seven touchdowns while adding 21 punt returns for 428 yards and four touchdowns.

Pettis’ signing leaves just two draft picks unsigned – New York Jets quarterback Sam Darnold (No. 3 overall) and Chicago Bears linebacker Roquan Smith (No. 8 overall).

New faces: Offensive coordinator John DeFilippo , QB Kirk Cousins, DT Sheldon Richardson, PK Daniel Carlson, CB/KR Mike Hughes, C/G Brett Jones, SS George Iloka, WR Kendall Wright, OL Tom Compton, QB Trevor Siemian, OT Brian O’Neill.

Key losses: Offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur, QB Case Keenum, QB Sam Bradford, QB Teddy Bridgewater, RB Jerick McKinnon, G/C Joe Berger , PK Kai Forbath, WR Jarius Wright, DT Tom Johnson, DT Shamar Stephen, OL Jeremiah Sirles.

Strengths: Defense that led NFL in fewest yards and fewest points allowed per game last season only got stronger with free agent additions Richardson and Iloka. First-round draft pick Hughes, also potential kick returner, provides depth at critical position in mix for nickel package playing time in slot with Mackensie Alexander and Terence Newman. FS Harrison Smith and CB Xavier Rhodes headline one of best secondaries in league. Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs give newcomer Cousins one of best WR tandems in NFL, with veteran TE Kyle Rudolph viable red zone target. Cousins topped 4,000 passing yards for Washington while playing in every game over each of last three years.

Weaknesses: OL lost Berger to retirement and starting LG Nick Easton in training camp to neck injury. Starting C Pat Elflein has missed entire preseason, recovering from offseason ankle and shoulder surgeries. Second-round draft pick O’Neill is long-term project, with questionable depth at OT spots in case of injury to Riley Reiff and/or Rashod Hill. Sudden death of OL coach Tony Sparano right before training camp was big blow. Special teams bear watching, too, with rookie Carlson taking over high-pressure position for Forbath and P Ryan Quigley coming off so-so 2017. Vikings did not have any kickoff or punt return TDs last year, and coverage units were burned often during preseason.

Fantasy Players To Watch: RB Dalvin Cook. Well on way to stellar rookie year, Cook tore ACL in left knee in fourth game. He averaged 112 yards from scrimmage Randy White Jersey , 22 total touches and three receptions per game and scored two TDs in abbreviated debut. Latavius Murray, who rushed for 745 yards and eight TDs over last 10 games of regular season, provides proven backup.

Vegas Says: Super Bowl 12-1. Over/under wins 10.

Expectations: After riding Keenum to NFC championship game, fueled by last-second TD pass to Diggs in playoffs against Saints dubbed “Minneapolis Miracle,” Vikings made sure Super Bowl window stayed open. Went all in on three-year, fully guaranteed $84 million contract to add Cousins to roster that was already one of most stacked in league. With recent big-buck extensions for Diggs, DE Danielle Hunter and LB Eric Kendricks, front office is keeping band together as long as possible under salary cap. Repeating last season’s record will be tough task, though, with OL uncertainty and stiffer schedule that includes road trips to face Rams, Eagles, Patriots and Seahawks. Plus, rival Packers have QB Aaron Rodgers back from injury.

After finishing his first draft as general manager of the New York Giants, Dave Gettleman got a laugh when asked his thoughts on his six picks.

With his heavy Boston accent, Gettleman said no GM is going to walk into a press room and tell the media he drafted garbage.

Garbage wasn't the word he used J'Mon Moore Jersey , but the meaning was clear. He could have stretched the truth if he wanted, but it wasn't necessary.

"I'm thrilled. We got big butts. We got power. We got speed," said Gettleman who momentarily stopped to apologize for his choice of words. "And we got a quarterback we really like. I am not angry."

Coming off a 3-13 season that cost coach Ben McAdoo and general manager Jerry Reese their jobs, the Giants seemingly found value and filled need with every pick in the NFL draft that ended Saturday.

They feel they got the best player in the draft in Penn State running back Saquon Barkley with the second pick overall. They had a first-round grade on guard Will Hernandez of UTEP when they took him in the second round.

Edge rusher Lorenzo Carter of Georgia and defensive tackle B.J. Hill of North Carolina State had second-round grades when taken in the third round.

Quarterback Kyle Lauletta of Richmond and defensive tackle R.J. McIntosh of Miami were right where the Giants felt they would be in the fourth and fifth rounds, respectively.

The picks will create competition on a team that needs to be pushed by new coach Pat Shurmur.

Gettleman also knows the job of building a roster is far from over.

"It takes time," he said. "Folks, you have to understand that Rome was not built in a day. This is a brick-by-brick deal and at the end of the day we are going to keep making moves and shake up the back end of the roster until we get it right."

ELI STILL THE ONE: The decision to grab Barkley and ignore the quartet of quarterbacks taken in the first 10 picks overall clearly shows the Giants think 37-year-old Eli Manning has good years left. Taking Lauletta in the fourth round also shows the team wants backup Davis Webb, the third-round pick last year, to have competition in training camp.

THE BARKLEY FACTOR: Barkley should give the Giants their first legitimate home run threat out of the backfield in more than a decade. What makes him unique is he is a three-down player who runs with speed and power, and can catch passes. And in the NFL, opposing defenses can't focus on him like in college. There's Odell Beckham Jr., Sterling Shepard and tight end Evan Engram to worry about.

"I think that's why I was brought here, to bring an impact to the running game, to have that same domination that I had in college where a team wants to just shut me down, and then it just opens up everyone else Ramon Humber Jersey ," said Barkley, who had 53 total touchdowns in three years with the Nittany Lions.

THE O-LINE: The offensive line will be dramatically different than the banged-up, inefficient unit that played last year. Hernandez should be able to start at one of the guard positions along with free agent signee Patrick Omameh. Fellow free agent Nate Solder is set at left tackle and Brett Jones returns at center. The only question mark is right tackle. Ereck Flowers has been asked to move from the left side to the right, but his status is uncertain; he has refused to take part in the voluntary offseason activities and minicamp.

NEVER ENOUGH: Gettleman is a believer in never having enough good players. The additions of Carter, Hill and McIntosh gives the Giants a dozen pass rushers when veterans Kareem Martin, Olivier Vernon, Damon Harrison, Dalvin Tomlinson, John Mauro, Romeo Okwara, Kerry Wynn, Robert Thomas and Avery Moss are added in. Should be an interesting camp.

STILL NEED: A big receiver is needed. Veteran Brandon Marshall was let go after failing his physical last week. New York has other guys who played last season, but no one combines height and speed that can stretch the field. The Giants could use one more inside linebacker for depth in the new 3-4 alignment. With Eli Apple coming off a bad season and Janoris Jenkins returning from ankle surgery, a cornerback would help.

The kid has a sense of humor Clinton Portis Jersey , too.

Sam Darnold kept a straight face for a split-second as he answered a question about what he could've done differently on his first pass in the New York Jets' season opener in Detroit.

You know, the one that was intercepted and returned for a touchdown before many fans were even settled into their seats Monday night.

"Yeah, I mean, not throw it," the rookie quarterback deadpanned Wednesday before breaking into a full grin. "That's the easy answer."

Darnold went on to explain how he could have kept rolling to his right and either thrown the ball away or eventually found an open receiver once he noticed Lions safety Quandre Diggs sitting back in the secondary, ready to pick him off.

It was an early learning moment in the Jets' 48-17 rout , and a mistake from which he was able to bounce back.

"I thought, obviously, I could clean things up here and there," Darnold said. "After I put the first play behind me, I thought I played really well."

Darnold finished 16 of 21 for 198 yards and touchdowns to Robby Anderson and Quincy Enunwa, checking off a list of personal firsts 鈥?first game, first start, first TD, first INT, first victory 鈥?in the NFL.

"To get my first win under my belt, that's a really good feeling, more than anything Da'Ron Payne Jersey ," he said. "Just to be able to win a game in the NFL and know I can do it, even though I did know that I could do it. It's just a nice feeling to actually go out there and execute with my teammates, especially the way that we did.

"But, yeah, moving forward, I'm confident in myself and confident in my teammates, as we all are in each other."

During the few days since Darnold's debut, both coach Todd Bowles and team chairman/CEO Christopher Johnson have referred to the 21-year-old quarterback as "an old soul."

They have praised his even-keeled approach and exceptional work ethic, the likes of which are rare for rookies at this point in their careers.

One game in, the No. 3 overall draft pick out of USC is getting rave reviews from fans and national media, too. With a terrific prime-time performance, the Jets quarterback is already achieving celebrity status.

And through it all, Darnold remains unfazed.

"You know, just from being at SC, I'm used to some attention," he said. "I know leading up to my last year at SC, it was kind of hectic, in terms of Heisman (Trophy) talk and all that kind of stuff , but, you know, I'm pretty used to that.

"But, it's different now, being in the NFL and all of these expectations and everything. It's different, but at the same time I'm just going to continue to be myself.

"I've been myself my entire career 鈥?high school, college, now the NFL 鈥?and I don't see myself changing any time soon."

That's precisely what made scouts so fond of Darnold, on top of his physical talents. The fact he maintains a cool about him in the face of pressure is extremely unique.

Now, here in New York, Darnold is shouldering the burden of trying to help deliver a frustrated franchise a Super Bowl someday.

It has been 50 years since Joe Namath backed up his guarantee, and Darnold is the 31st quarterback to start a game since Broadway Joe's final game for the team in 1976.

But maybe 鈥?just maybe 鈥?the Jets have their franchise quarterback?

"We won one game," Bowles said. "I can tell you after about 100 more of them whether we have one or not. Right now, it's a little early."

No doubt about it. And, Darnold's next big test comes Sunday in the Jets' home opener against the AFC East-rival Miami Dolphins.

If he plays a good game and wins that one, too, the hype around Darnold will really start to build.

Not that anyone will need to worry about how the youngster will handle it all.

"I haven't been paying much attention, but I'm sure people are talking about how good they expect our team to be in the next few years ," Darnold said.

"I'm just going to continue to focus on the next game. That's all I can control and that's what I'm going to do every single week."

NOTES: WR Jermaine Kearse (abdomen) was a full participant in practice after missing the game at Detroit. "We're going to evaluate him during the week, see how he does," Bowles said. "He's got to get his wind up and we have to see if there is any aftereffects." ... S Marcus Maye (foot), LB Josh Martin (concussion) and LB Neville Hewitt (knee) were the only players who didn't practice. ... LB Kevin Pierre-Louis was activated from the suspended list, and OL Ben Braden was waived to make room on the roster.

On June 7, the Colorado Rockies were tied for first place in the National League West and riding high. In the week since, the Rockies have lost five straight games and come to the Dallas-Fort Worth area on Friday with as many questions as answers about themselves as the season heads into the dog days of summer.

Colorado begins a three-game interleague series with the Texas Rangers, a team also in search of answers, at Globe Life Park in Arlington, Texas.

The Rockies will send right-hander Chad Bettis (4-1, 4.40 ERA) to the mound for the opening game and the Rangers will counter with Yohander Mendez (0-0, 0.00).

Colorado activated right-handed reliever Adam Ottavino from the disabled list Thursday, and manager Bud Black said Ottavino would go right back into his late-game role.

Ottavino had a 0.95 ERA and 45 strikeouts in 28 1/3 innings before going to the disabled with a left oblique injury. The team went 5-9 without him in the lineup.

“Otto feels that he wants to jump right back into the mix of pitching deep in the game,” Black told “He’s ready for that. He doesn’t necessarily want to ease back in. Physically, he made it a point of emphasis to get his body in the best shape possible in the offseason. The year before, it wasn’t the case.”

Ottavino did not see action in the Rockies’ 9-3 loss at Philadelphia but will be ready when Colorado takes on hapless Texas.

The Rangers will attempt to end a six-game losing streak that included a heartbreaking 3-2 loss in 11 innings in Los Angeles on Wednesday.

With one out and the bases loaded, the Dodgers‘ Austin Barnes dribbled what appeared to be a sure out at home in front of Rangers reliever Matt Bush. However, Bush’s throw to home for the force pulled catcher Carlos Perez off the plate Dalton Schultz Jersey , allowing Enrique Hernandez to score the deciding run.

Texas is now a season-worst 18 games back of the first-place Seattle Mariners and the Houston Astros in the American League West after suffering a two-game sweep by the Dodgers.

Bettis gave up three home runs and lasted just four innings in his last start, a home loss to the Arizona Diamondbacks. The good news is his velocity returned after a dip for three starts. He is a Lubbock, Texas, native who pitched at Texas Tech University.

Bettis will make his 14th start of the season and his eighth on the road. He has no-decisions and a 7.67 ERA in his past six starts since May 11.

Bettis has pitched against Texas only once, getting a no-decision on Aug. 11, 2016, in Arlington, a 12-9 Rockies win.

Mendez will make his first big league start Friday. In 10 minor league starts this season, he has an 0-6 record with a 5.26 ERA. In one relief appearance with the Rangers this year, he didn’t allow a run in two-thirds of an inning.

Mendez, who is ranked the Rangers’ seventh-ranked prospect by MLB Pipeline, has joined the ballclub from Triple-A Round Rock. He has been a September call-up for Texas each of the past two seasons, and featured with the Rangers earlier this season when he was called up May 3.

In 10 career major league appearances — all in relief — Mendez has posted a 0-1 record with a 7.31 ERA (13 earned runs in 16 innings).

“It’s going to be multiple starts,” Texas manager Jeff Banister said Wednesday about Mendez’s upcoming major league stint. “He’s going to have the opportunity to show us what he can do as a starter.

“We’re still in the business of winning baseball games,” Banister added. “It’s about development, but it is the big leagues, and you still develop and still give yourself the opportunity to win baseball games.”

Winnipeg coach Paul Maurice wants the Jets to focus on fun Zay Jones Jersey , not the magnitude of Sunday’s game against the Vegas Golden Knights.

The expansion Golden Knights are up 3-1 in the best-of-seven Western Conference final and could eliminate the Jets and reach the Stanley Cup Final with a victory.

”These are the best games, always are, when everything is on the line,” Maurice said Saturday. ”Everybody will be at their most excited. You have to find a way, and it shouldn’t be very difficult, to love every minute of it. … This has to be your finest hour. Before the puck drops, I’m not talking about the play, be able to get your mind that this is the most fun game of the year now.”

The Jets have accomplished more in the playoffs than the Atlanta Thrashers franchise did before relocating to Manitoba in 2011. They’ve also surpassed the achievements of the original NHL Jets franchise that moved to Arizona in 1996.

As the current Winnipeg team eliminated the Minnesota Wild in the first round in five games and then bounced the Predators in a Game 7 in Nashville, fans from across the country have cheered on the only Canadian team left in the championship run.

Jets defenseman Ben Chiarot and his teammates have seen the adoration, particularly in Winnipeg with their white-clad crowd inside Bell MTS Place and thousands more outside at ”whiteout” street parties around the rink.

Now, though, isn’t the time to let the hopes of hockey fans weigh them down Josh Jones Jersey , he said.

”I don’t think you can think about that, how many people we have watching us,” Chiarot said.

”It’s a little daunting when you think of a whole province, or even the whole country, watching us play. So you just focus on what you do and the guys in the room and that’s all we focus on.”

Winnipeg won the first game against the Golden Knights at home.

The Jets had an NHL-best home record of 32-7-2 in the regular season and finished with nine straight victories at home. They added four more in the playoffs, but have lost three of their last four games at home.

In the last two losses to Vegas, the Jets gave up the first goal. When they did tie it up in both matches, the Golden Knights responded with goals in under a minute to regain their lead.

”It’s going to be really important, not only just to score the first, but just to have a good start,” Jets forward Andrew Copp said. ”We felt like we actually started OK last game, just kind of got in penalty trouble early. That can determine how it looks like you start.”

If the Jets can pull out a victory Sunday Jerry Hughes Jersey , Game 6 is Tuesday night in Las Vegas. A Game 7 would be Thursday night in Winnipeg.

Maurice wants his players to approach the do-or-die game like their Game 7 victory in Nashville.

”I want them to take their experience from Game 6 and 7 and create the environment they created there where they came out with an excitement and smile on their face,” he said. ”Going into Game 7, there’s as much pressure in that game as there was here, right? It’s the exact same game. This one is at home. We’ll need that crowd. They’ve been great for us.

”Both teams, all four teams now (left in the playoffs), there’s not quite as much in the tank as there was before. You’re looking to draw on that and go out with an excited smile.”

It’s one thing to be able to go to a casino or a racetrack and bet on sporting events. It’s quite another to do it from home, or anywhere else you happen to be.

In West Virginia, “home or anywhere else you happen to be” most likely will be an option, sooner than later. PFT has learned that The Greenbrier Resort and FanDuel have reached an agreement that will result in FanDuel providing retail, online, and mobile sports wagering services within West Virginia.

“We are honored to be chosen to provide sports wagering services at The Greenbrier, an iconic resort in the U.S. ,” FanDuel CEO Matt King said in a press release issued to PFT. “As we work towards building out a top sports betting product for the upcoming NFL season, we look forward to bringing West Virginia residents, sports fans, and visitors to The Greenbrier the best interactive sports experience on the market.”

Final details will depend upon the regulations promulgated by the West Virginia Lottery Commission. It’s currently believed that, through FanDuel, people physically located in West Virginia (residents and non-resident alike) will be able to place bets via the FanDuel app. Betting also will be available at The Greenbrier’s on-site casino, along with the state’s four racetrack casinos.

The Greenbrier and FanDuel plan to have the betting service up and running by the fall, with the precise date hinging on the finalization of the West Virginia Lottery Commission’s regulations.

The Houston Texans currently conduct training camp at The Greenbrier. Previously, the New Orleans Saints held training camp there.

So, by all appearances, West Virginia will be poised for the coming football season (and possibly beyond) to attract citizens of its various nearby states (Ohio, Pennsylvania Youth Fabian Moreau Jersey , Maryland, Kentucky, Virginia, and Tennessee) to cross the border, fire up their cell phone devices, access the FanDuel app, and wager money on the NFL and other sports.

CINCINNATI (AP) — For the second year in a row Kyle Fuller Jersey , the Bengals lost a backup quarterback in the final preseason game.

Matt Barkley’s left knee was injured by a low hit after he threw a pass during Cincinnati’s 27-26 loss to the Indianapolis Colts on Thursday night, giving Jeff Driskel the inside track for the backup spot.

“It’s a bummer Matt went down,” said Driskel, who knows how it feels.

Last year, Driskel broke the thumb on his passing hand during the final preseason game at Indianapolis, sidelining him for the season. He and Barkley were competing for the No. 2 job heading into the final game. The Bengals (3-1) also have seventh-round pick Logan Woodside.

Coach Marvin Lewis had no further information about Barkley’s injury after the game.

It was the most high-profile job up for grabs in a game that featured few starters. The Colts’ Andrew Luck and the Bengals’ Andy Dalton watched as reserves competed for roster spots.

The No. 2 quarterback job hadn’t been an issue for the Bengals since they drafted AJ McCarron in 2014. He led them to the playoffs the following year when Dalton broke the thumb on his passing hand. The Bengals asserted McCarron was still under contract for 2018 because he was hurt during his rookie season, but McCarron won a grievance and became a free agent, going to Buffalo. The Bengals then signed Barkley.

On Cincinnati’s second possession, Kemoko Turay hit Barkley in the legs after he threw a pass, drawing a roughing-the-passer penalty. Barkley came to the sideline to have the knee examined and walked to the locker room. He didn’t return.

Driskel finished the first half and went 14 of 20 for 116 yards with a 20-yard touchdown and a passer rating of 101.2.

“I felt like I did a good job seeing the field ,” Driskel said. “I know what I was trying to get done. I need to be ready to let it rip, and I think I did that tonight.”

Jacoby Brissett — Luck’s backup — was 8 of 12 for 68 yards with a passer rating of 109. He led the Colts (3-1) on an 18-play, 79-yard drive that took 9 minutes, 33 seconds and culminated in his 2-yard touchdown pass.

Luck is ready for his first regular-season game in more than 20 months, the result of a long recovery from surgery on this throwing shoulder. He sat out practice on Monday with a sore foot that isn’t a concern.

“He’ll practice on Monday,” coach Frank Reich said. “He’s good to go. It’s week one, he’s starting and we feel good where we’re at. We really appreciate his leadership.”

Luck said his shoulder felt strong during his preseason appearances, and the Colts are counting on him staying healthy so they can try to break their streak of three straights seasons without a playoff appearance.

Third-year offensive tackle Joe Haeg got his first start of the preseason as the Colts took a final look at their depth chart.

“You never know what’s going to happen,” Haeg said. “I just kind of roll with it.”

The Bengals gave a four-year contract extension to defensive tackle Geno Atkins and a three-year extension to Carlos Dunlap on Tuesday. Neither played against the Colts.

The roughing-the-passer penalty on the hit against Barkley was one of three in the game. The Colts’ Chris McCain and the Bengals’ Andrew Brown also were flagged.

The Bengals had undrafted rookie receiver Jared Murphy play a deep safety spot on the Colts’ final possession, which ended with Phillip Walker’s 28-yard touchdown pass with 1:12 left.

There were no protests during the national anthem Rafael Bush Jersey , with all players from both teams standing.

Colts: RB Christine Michael was wobbly after a hard hit in the second quarter and the officials sent him to the sideline for evaluation. … DE Tarell Basham hurt his left knee in the second quarter and walked toward the locker room for an exam. He didn’t return.

Bengals: Tight end Cethan Carter suffered a shoulder injury in the second quarter.

The Bengals announced the crowd at 39,520. Their other preseason game drew 35,633 fans. Paul Brown Stadium seats 65,535.

The Bengals will make the quick trip to Indianapolis to open the season on Sunday Sept. 9. The teams played in the regular season last year as well, with the Bengals winning 24-23 at Paul Brown Stadium on Dunlap’s interception return for a touchdown.

Colin Cowherd of FOX Sports Radio and FS1 has an issue or two with Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield. To his credit, Mayfield appeared in studio with Cowherd on Thursday, calmly and coolly sticking it to Cowherd for a God-awful take regarding Mayfield’s behavior following a touchdown against Ohio State in Columbus. has the video. Cowherd carps about Mayfield running away from his teammates after a touchdown pass.

“Our band is over there, our student section’s right there,” Mayfield said. “You pulled the one clip of me running right there to our fans and people that traveled well to that game first of all, and then you didn’t show the rest of the clip of me going to our sideline? . . . You’re acting like I just ran away from everybody.”

Mayfield then called it what it is.

“I feel like you’re going for the fact that I’m not a team guy Adrian Amos Jersey , I’m selfish? Is that what you’re shooting at right here or what?” Mayfield said.

Instead of admitting it (because clearly that’s what it is), Cowherd tried to make a meaningless post-play gesture somehow meaningful to football, even if it isn’t.

“I think sometimes your judgment’s just a tad off, and I think the NFL’s a judgment league,” Cowherd explained. “Because the game is so fast. . . . The window gets really, really tight and really, really small. You’ve got to make decisions really, really fast. . . . I don’t love that decision, I don’t love it.”

Mayfield quickly shot down that approach, too.

“The celebration?” he said. “Do you see what people do in the league now Josh Doctson Jersey , celebration wise?”

Cowherd then tried to laugh it off by saying his not a fan of Antonio Brown‘s “hip thrusting” before changing the subject and asking Mayfield if he has his NFL celebration ready.

“I have nothing, I have nothing,” Mayfield said. “Apparently, I think I just need to run away.”

The fact that Mayfield ran directly at Cowherd — and won easily — proves a lot about the kid’s ability to handle his business in the locker room, on the practice field, in the stadium, at the podium, and anywhere else.

A high school hit hard by Hurricane Harvey is getting a new playing surface thanks to the Houston Texans.

The Texans said Monday that they're donating the turf they played on at NRG Stadium last season to C.E. King High School after its field was destroyed in flooding from Harvey , which hit the area last August.

"These guys get to go out there every day and know that they're playing on something that J.J. Watt played on," King coach Derek Fitzhenry said. "Of course, that's everybody's favorite player, so it's exciting."

Fitzhenry and several members of the team were guests of the Texans at practice on Monday, and Watt spoke to the group for a few minutes before posing for pictures with them.

"It means a lot to me to play on a field the Texans played on," senior linebacker Rodrick Crumedy said. "I've never even stepped on an NFL field, so stepping on one every day will mean a lot to me."

Students at the high school had to attend classes in an elementary school last year because of damage from the flooding Willie Young Jersey , and much of the team's equipment and facilities were lost. Almost a year later, the team is excited about a fresh start this season on its fancy albeit gently used turf.

"These guys have really come through that struggle really well," Fitzhenry said. "A lot of that stuff is behind us now and we're excited for this year."

Before Watt spent time with the guys, several other players stopped by to chat with them on their way off the field after practice. Linebacker Benardrick McKinney encouraged them to work hard and wished them luck on their season. Safety Tyrann Mathieu smiled broadly as he autographed miniature helmets for the players.

"Any time we can reach out to the high schools and help them out in the ways that we do 鈥?we do a great job headed by (Texans president) Jamey Rootes and his crew," Texans coach Bill O'Brien said. "They do a great job with community relations and I think the high school football is a big part of that."

Tepper told the crowd of graduates at his alma mater of the way his father taught him about work ethic , but was also physically abusive, something he vowed to never be with his own three children.

“In what is the proudest accomplishment of my life, I broke that cycle,” Tepper said, choking back tears.

Tepper has donated $125 million to the university, whose school of business is named for him. But he also spoke about his humble upbringing, working his way through undergraduate studies at the University of Pittsburgh Kevin White Jersey , and that he was turned down on his first job application (at McDonald’s).

The Saints struck gold in last year’s draft with running back Alvin Kamara and cornerback Marshon Lattimore.

They became the first teammates to be named the offensive and defensive rookies of the year since 1967 and played a major role in getting the Saints within a Minnesota Miracle of the NFC title game. Heading into the 2018 season Clayton Geathers Jersey , Lattimore says both players have set their sights even higher.

“We talk about it all the time, we’re just trying to be the best,” Lattimore said from Kamara’s football camp, via the New Orleans Advocate. “We won rookie of the year, now we’re trying to win defensive player of the year, offensive player of the year.”

Lattimore said he’s been able to “focus on my game and my technique” this offseason rather than “training for the 40” at the combine like he did before the 2017 draft. Kamara also sounds happy to be done with draft prep, which he called a “tiring process,” as he looks ahead to a chance to run as the clear No. 1 back while Mark Ingram is suspended to start the regular season.

That might not be enough to put him in position for offensive player of the year and Lattimore will have plenty of competition in a bid for defensive honors. The good news for the Saints is that any improvement in their second seasons won’t need individual honors to position the team for success.

The Phoenix Suns stayed close to home for their first No. 1 pick. The Dallas Mavericks looked all the way to Slovenia for the player they hope can be their next European superstar.

Shortly after the Suns took Deandre Ayton to start the NBA draft Thursday night, the Mavericks traded up two spots for the rights to Luka Doncic.

The Atlanta Hawks swapped the rights to Doncic, the No. 3 pick who has spent the last year winning championships all over Europe Dick Butkus Jersey , to Atlanta for Trae Young, the No. 5 selection from Oklahoma.

The Mavericks also gave up a future first-round pick to draft Doncic, who only arrived in New York on Wednesday after helping Spain’s Real Madrid win its league championship after he won Euroleague MVP and Final Four MVP honors when they won that title this year.

His lengthy European season kept him from working out for teams but he knew the Mavericks were interested in having him on their team for what’s expected to be Dirk Nowitzki’s final NBA season.

”I’ve been talking to Dallas a lot. They really wanted me, and they were very, very nice,” the 19-year-old said. ”They were very nice to me, and I think we had a very good relationship.”

The Hawks will get perhaps the most exciting player in college basketball last season in Young, the first player to lead the nation in scoring and assists in the same season.

”Whatever city I went to, I was going to be able to be comfortable in,” said Young Joe Theismann Jersey , who wore suit shorts with his burgundy-colored jacket. ”I was just really excited to get to Atlanta.”

After that, it was a mostly straightforward draft with little fireworks, but plenty of national champion Villanova Wildcats.

The top of it was dominated by big men, starting with a pair of former high school teammates.

The Suns made the 7-foot-1 Ayton the first No. 1 pick in franchise history. The center from Arizona averaged 20.1 points and 11.6 rebounds in his lone season in Tucson, tying for the national lead with 24 double-doubles in 35 games.

He joined Mychal Thompson – father of Golden State All-Star Klay Thompson – in 1978 as the only players from the Bahamas to be the No. 1 pick in the NBA draft.

”Having my name called to be the first pick for the Phoenix Suns was mind-blowing,” Ayton said. ”Having all that confidence and leading up to that point when I saw Adam Silver came out, I was just waiting for my name, and when he called it, my mind went blank.”

The Sacramento Kings followed by taking Marvin Bagley III, the Duke big man who played with Ayton at Hillcrest Prep Academy in Phoenix in 2015-16.

With Michigan State’s Jaren Jackson Jr. going fourth to Memphis Dustin Hopkins Jersey , Texas center Mo Bamba going No. 6 to Orlando and Wendell Carter Jr. following to Chicago, it was an early run of big men in what’s increasingly become a perimeter-based league.

Then it was another guard with Alabama’s Collin Sexton going at No. 8 to Cleveland, triggering chants of Michael Porter Jr.’s name by Knicks fans who hoped they would take him with the No. 9 pick. But they ended up disappointed as New York went with Kentucky’s Kevin Knox.

”They booed (Kristaps) Porzingis (on draft night) and look where he is now. That’s the same mindset I’m going to have,” Knox said. ”They can chant Michael Porter all they want. But they got Kevin Knox, and I’m willing to work and I’m willing to get better.”

With concerns over back problems that limited him to only three games at Missouri last season, followed by a recent hip injury that he believe scared off teams, Porter ended up falling all the way to Denver at No. 14, the last lottery position.

There were a couple other trades involving lottery picks. Mikal Bridges, the No. 10 pick from Villanova who thought he was staying in Philadelphia with the 76ers – who employ his mother – but was dealt to Phoenix for the rights to No. 16 pick Zhaire Smith of Texas Tech and a 2012 first-round pick from the Miami Heat.

The Charlotte Hornets sent the rights to No. 11 pick Shai Gilgeous-Alexander – whose floral-patterned suit stood out among the selections – to the Clippers for No. 12 pick Miles Bridges and two future second-round picks.

After Bridges, Final Four Most Outstanding Player Donte DiVincenzo went to Milwaukee at No. 17 and Omari Spellman to Atlanta at No. 30 Demarcus Lawrence Jersey , giving Villanova three first-round picks for the first time. National player of the year Jalen Brunson then was picked by Dallas with the third pick of the second round.

The Holiday brothers had an NBA reunion when Aaron Holiday was taken at No. 23 by Indiana. Brothers Jrue and Justin already play in the league.

Speaking of brothers, Kostas Antetokounmpo of Dayton, brother of Bucks All-Star Giannis Antetokounmpo, was the 60th and final pick by Philadelphia. That marked the first time three international siblings were drafted into the NBA, as Thanasis Antetokounmpo was the No. 51 pick in 2014.

A statement from police in Milton , Georgia doesn’t mention Bills running back LeSean McCoy, but it also raises more questions about exactly what happened to trigger allegations of domestic violence.

According to Mike Rodak of, the police report described a targeted home invasion.

“On July 10, 2018 at approximately 3:18 A.M., Milton Police responded to a home invasion at a residence on Hickory Pass near the Cherokee County line, the statement read. “The preliminary investigation indicates that this residence was specifically targeted by the suspect or suspects, and not a random incident. When officers arrived they found one victim who had been physically assaulted by a lone intruder.

“During the altercation, the suspect demanded specific items from the victim. An adult female victim was treated and released at North Fulton Regional Hospital. A second adult female victim also sustained a minor injury during the incident.”

McCoy has denied any involvement, and the league and the Bills have issued the usual statements saying they were looking into the matter.

The prospect of legal sports betting throughout the United States has prompted a flurry of deals among gambling and technology firms who want a foothold in the billion-dollar industry.

Casinos , race tracks, daily fantasy sports companies and others are itching to offer bets in person and online after the Supreme Court ruled Monday that states could begin allowing wagers. That’s led companies all over the world to seek ways to team up.

Some casinos need mobile apps or someone to set lines and run sports books that operate much differently than slot machines and table games. Many tech firms, daily fantasy sports companies and others need gambling licenses and experience with significant regulation. Other companies that handle data security and payment processing are also joining the fray.

The industry is preparing for most of the betting to happen on smartphones, just like in Europe. That would also be new for most U.S. states, as internet gambling has been limited to just three states in recent years.

NEW YORK (AP) – The NCAA is opening a door for states with legalized sports gambling to host NCAA championship events and officials in Nevada are already set to get in the game as soon as they can.

The governing body for college sports announced a ”temporary” lifting of a ban that prevented events like college basketball’s NCAA Tournament from being hosted in states that accept wagers on single games. The move comes three days after the Supreme Court overturned a federal law that barred most states from allowing gambling on professional and college sporting events.

NCAA President Mark Emmert said the board of governors will consider permanently revising its policy at future meetings. But the NCAA said it will not change its rules that prohibit gambling on sports by athletes and all athletic department employees, including coaches.

Emmert also is calling for federal regulations of sports gambling, joining the NFL, NBA and other leagues.

WASHINGTON (AP) – The Tampa Bay Lightning won Game 4 of the Eastern Conference final despite going the equivalent of more than a period without a shot on goal.

They won despite falling behind about 4 1/2 minutes into the game.

They won despite being called for three penalties – one right after the other – late in the first period, allowing Alex Ovechkin and the rest of the Washington Capitals’ prolific power play to get all that time to operate.

And they did it , mainly, thanks to Andrei Vasilevskiy, who made 36 saves and kept things close until Alex Killorn scored the tiebreaker with about 8 minutes left, lifting Tampa Bay to a 4-2 victory and evening the series at two games apiece.

MILWAUKEE (AP) – The Milwaukee Bucks officially announced the hiring of Mike Budenholzer as their new coach.

A person familiar with the search had told The Associated Press on Wednesday that the Milwaukee Bucks had reached an agreement with Budenholzer, the former Atlanta Hawks coach. The Bucks made the official announcement a day later.

”The tremendously supportive fans in Milwaukee and throughout Wisconsin are waiting and ready,” Budenholzer said in a statement released by the team. ”Now it’s up to us to put all the pieces together, and I can’t wait to get started.”

Budenholzer replaces Joe Prunty, the former assistant who went 21-16 in the regular season after replacing the fired Jason Kidd in late January. The Bucks lost to Boston in seven games in the first round of the playoffs.

DALLAS (AP) – Marc Leishman shot a 10-under 61 on the new links-style Trinity Forest course to take the first-round lead in the AT&T Byron Nelson.

Jordan Spieth was eight shots back in his hometown event, which returned to Dallas after 35 years at the TPC Four Seasons in suburban Irving. Defending champion Billy Horschel shot 68.

Leishman opened with an eagle JK Scott Jersey , started the back nine with three straight birdies and reached 9 under with another eagle at the 14th.

The 34-year-old Australian, a three-time PGA Tour winner, had chances to go lower but settled for a 10-foot birdie putt at the par-3 17th for the lowest round of his PGA Tour career. He was a stroke shy of the Nelson record.

J.J. Spaun and Texan Jimmy Walker shot 64.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) – Miguel Angel Jimenez matched the course record with an 8-under 64 to take the first-round lead in the Regions Tradition, the first of the PGA Tour Champions’ five major championships.

Jimenez birdied the first four holes and broke the front-nine record at 6-under 30 at Greystone Golf & Country Club. The Spaniard took the outright lead with a short birdie putt on No. 13 after a rain delay of 1 hour, 17 minutes.

Jimenez tied the course record set by Kenny Perry in the first round in 2016 and matched by Bernhard Langer in the final round a year ago. Jimenez also opened with a 64 in the Chubb Classic before finishing ninth.

Gene Sauers, Wes Short Jr., Jerry Kelly and Joe Durant were second at 66.

Two-time defending champion Langer closed with a birdie for a 70.

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (AP) – Annie Park turned a blistering stretch on the back nine into a mistake-free 6-under 65 and a share of the first-round lead on a crowded leaderboard at the Kingsmill Championship.

Jessica Korda , Azahara Munoz, In Gee Chun and Jaye Marie Green also shot 65. Park, Korda and Munoz played morning rounds in mild conditions, while Chun and Green played in rain that is expected to also be a factor Friday and Saturday on the resort’s already-soggy River Course.

RIO DE JANEIRO -- Saskia Clark and Hannah Mills were stuck on their 470 boat near the Marina da Gloria for nearly three hours in temperatures above 30 degrees celsius as they waited for the wind that was supposed to blow them to gold. Wholesale Jerseys Safe .They had hardly slept the night before, disturbed by the anticipation of a race they simply have to complete without serious error to claim the Olympic sailing title they have waited four years for.But no matter how many points the British pair have accrued from their performances here so far, the 2012 silver medallists could do nothing as the weather refused to provide the right conditions.A disappointing day, Mills said. We wanted to get things wrapped up but, as they say, good things come to those who wait, so we will be waiting another 24 hours.Clark, due to retire from sailing after the Games, added: It will be a massive relief when we get out there because its not done.It must be almost painful to have those gold medals so tantalisingly close and be deprived of the chance to claim them, so were they sitting their grinding their teeth in frustration? We were chatting away, said Clark. Han was putting the world to rights. If a bit of breeze comes in and it looks like its going to happen we get engaged, get our numbers, get a feel for conditions.Otherwise, we try to switch down a little bit so we dont fry our brains too early. That would have been an intense three hours if we had thought we were going to race the whole time.It was a bit too hot to be on the water [but] we could stay relatively calm because there wasnt something keep pulsing in so that we had to get ready and check everything. It was pretty mellow and never looked like it [would happen].Apart from talking to each other, they spoke with their coach and the television camera crew on a boat nearby, eat and took on water and hydration drinks and, apparently, there was lots of going to the toilet. After nearly a month in Brazil and 10 races leading up to the postponed finale, it seemed a little rough on Clark and Mills. But at least an afternoon on the water may have calmed their nerves a little before Thursdays attempt. We should sleep because we are so tired, Mills said.We have had a few delays but Rio is the sort of venue when we knew the wind could be tricky and we might have to wait every now and again -- and it has certainly proved that. We havent got it yet. When Clark and Mills finally get their medals they plan to celebrate with the family and friends who have made the trip to Brazil and have an evening at the Team GB house, but they arent taking things completely for granted. The plans can wait, said Mills. We will do another boat check to make sure nothing is likely to break and go through the whole routine again. She didnt need to say they would be checking the weather forecast - which looked better for them on Wednesday -- too.
