Defensive tackle Akeem Spence has been acquired by the Miami Dolphins from the Detroit Lions for a late-round draft pick in 2019.

The Dolphins swung the deal announced Thursday to plug a hole created when they released five-time Pro Bowl tackle Ndamukong Suh for salary cap reasons. Spence will join a rotation at tackle that also includes Jordan Phillips Leon Draisaitl Jersey , Davon Godchaux and Vincent Taylor.

Spence has 41 starts in a five-year NFL career. He was with Tampa Bay in 2013-16, and started 11 games for the Lions last year. His career totals include 8陆 sacks Adidas Jonathan Drouin Jersey , one forced fumble and three fumble recoveries.

Spence was a fourth-round pick by Tampa Bay in 2013. He grew up in Fort Walton Beach, Florida.

A second suspect charged in connection with a burglary at New England Patriots player Rob Gronkowski's Massachusetts home has been arraigned.

Eric Tyrrell http://www.coltsauthorizedshops.com/authentic-kemoko-turay-jersey , of Foxborough, was held on $1 Adidas Filip Forsberg Jersey ,000 bail Wednesday after pleading not guilty in Wrentham District Court to two counts of receiving stolen property.

Prosecutors say Tyrrell sold rare coins that had been stolen from one of Gronkowski's roommates. Court records show nothing belonging to Gronkowski was stolen.

The Foxborough house was burglarized in February while the team was in Minnesota to play the Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl. Authorities have recovered an Apple watch, a Rolex watch and the coins.

Tyrrell's attorney says there's no evidence his client was present during the break-in.

Another suspect already hasbeen arraigned. Police are still seeking a third.

This story has been corrected to fix the spelling of the suspect's name throughout to Tyrrell instead of Tyrell.

The sluggish opening three months. The so-so finish. The only occasional attention to detail on defense. None of it matters anymore.

The playoffs are here. The champs are Matt Murray Jersey , too.

Sidney Crosby and the Penguins provided proof in Pittsburgh’s 7-0 dismantling of the Philadelphia Flyers in the opening game of their first-round series Wednesday night.

Crosby performed more stick wizardry on his way to his third postseason hat trick, Evgeni Malkin added a highlight-reel goal of his own and the Penguins overwhelmed their seemingly overmatched cross-state rivals to begin their quest for a third straight Stanley Cup with a blowout that seemed to indicate the grudge match could be a mismatch.

Not that Pittsburgh’s captain wanted to buy into any sort of message sending, even after the Penguins became only the fifth team in NHL history to win a series opener by at least seven goals.

”I mean, it’s one game,” Crosby said. ”Whether it’s 7-0 or 1-0 or double overtime, it’s one game. A big part in the playoffs is to get better every game and to adjust, and that’s the way we have to look at it.”

That might be a frightening proposition for the rest of the NHL. It certainly is for the Flyers, who have lost all five meetings with Pittsburgh this season, giving up at least five goals each time. Nothing that happened during the regular season, however, compared to Wednesday night. The Penguins pumped five goals in the first 29:01 to chase goalie Brian Elliott, and the Flyers simply could not keep pace.

”It was one of the worst games I’ve been a part of,” Flyers forward Claude Giroux said.

Philadelphia coach Dave Hakstol mercifully pulled Elliott after Crosby swatted Brian Dumoulin’s point shot out of the air and knocked it by a stunned Elliott to put the Penguins up 5-0 just before the game’s midway point. Elliott stopped 14 of 19 shots before being replaced by Petr Mrazek. Mrazek made 12 saves Roman Josi Jersey , but Hakstol indicated he’s likely to go with Elliott again in Friday’s Game 2.

Whoever is in net for the Flyers, it won’t matter if the play in front of them isn’t better. Philadelphia’s power play went 0 for 4 and didn’t even generate a shot.

”They beat us from pretty much every aspect tonight, starting from the net out,” Elliott said. ”Everybody just has to be better.”

Jake Guentzel had a goal and three assists for Pittsburgh. Bryan Rust and Carl Hagelin also scored. Matt Murray stopped 24 shots for his third straight playoff shutout.

The Flyers stressed the need to stay out of the penalty box and put together three disciplined, competitive periods if they wanted to put an abrupt halt to Pittsburgh’s run at history. It didn’t happen. Not even close.

The Penguins jumped on Philadelphia early. Elliott stopped Kris Letang’s slap shot with his blocker only to see the long rebound go right to Rust, who ripped it over Elliott’s right shoulder to give the Penguins the lead 2:38 into the game.

Philadelphia’s best chance at staying in it came minutes later, but Scott Laughton whiffed on his first attempt from the doorstep and Murray made a sprawling glove save on Laughton’s second try to preserve Pittsburgh’s lead.

”If that goes in, it’s 1-1 and maybe we’re talking about a different result,” Crosby said.

Moments later, Hagelin expertly redirected Patric Hornqvist’s shot past Elliott 10:07 into the game. Malkin drew a hooking penalty to negate a Pittsburgh power play, and when he emerged from the penalty box, he whizzed past three Flyers in one sequence, darting by Jakub Voracek Youth Le'Veon Bell Jersey , slipping past Giroux and then fending off Shayne Gostisbehere before flicking a backhand past Elliott to put the Penguins up 3-0 before the series was 15 minutes old.

All that before Crosby got involved.

The two-time MVP has a knack for scoring in unorthodox ways. He beat Montreal’s Carey Price with an intentional double-deflection and smacked a rebound out of air in overtime to top New Jersey within a span of eight days last month.

His first of the playoffs was just as impressive and provided the exclamation point on a night Pittsburgh looked every bit the threat to become the first team since the New York Islanders of the early 1980s to capture three straight Cups.

NOTES: Crosby’s hat trick tied Pittsburgh owner and Hall of Famer Mario Lemieux for the most postseason hat tricks in franchise history. … Murray hasn’t allowed a goal since Game 4 of the 2017 Stanley Cup finals, a span of 206:26. … The Penguins, who had the league’s top-ranked power play during the regular season, went 1 for 4 with the man advantage. … Pittsburgh C Derick Brassard, who missed time late in the regular season with a lower-body injury, had an assist in 13:44. … Injured Steelers LB Ryan Shazier, who is recovering from spine stabilization surgery and has already been ruled out for the 2018 season, stood up and led the sell-out crowd in a pre-game cheer.

Locker No. 29 in the Seattle Seahawks locker room was once again occupied Wednesday after being vacant the entire offseason.

Earl Thomas was back after ending his lengthy holdout. His Instagram post on Wednesday morning announcing his return made it clear Thomas wasn't happy or satisfied. But he was present, giving the Seahawks a major boost heading into the start of the regular season.

"He's been with us for so long. He's just been part of the fabric of what we've been about," Seattle coach Pete Carroll said. "It's an adjustment period as he jumps in with us right now and we'll figure out how that works. ... I don't have any thought about what to share with you right now because we have to see what he does and how he feels and all that stuff, but it's great to have him back."

Thomas' return to the Seahawks facility was a welcome moment for the team and ended a long offseason of drama centered on whether he would play out the final season of his contract, receive the contract extension he hoped for, or possibly be traded. Thomas' reaction to the lack of a resolution was clear in his post: "The disrespect has been noted and will not be forgotten."

He's not happy Justin Williams Jersey , but he wasn't about to sacrifice a $500,000 game check or leave his teammates without one of their most important defensive leaders. Thomas wrote he's never let his "teammates, city or fans down as long as I have lived and don't plan to start this weekend."

But he was quick to add he's got plenty of good years remaining after his current contract expires.

"Father Time may have an undefeated record but best believe I plan on taking him into triple overtime when it comes to my career," Thomas wrote.

Thomas did not speak with reporters Wednesday. Carroll would not commit to whether Thomas would play against Denver on Sunday in the opener. Seattle received a roster exemption from the league to allow Thomas to practice.

Not surprisingly, Thomas seemed to be universally embraced upon his return, both as the longest-tenured Seahawks player and for the on-field boost he can give to Seattle's overhauled defense. Doug Baldwin said he ran up and gave Thomas a hug when he saw him in a team meeting. Defensive coordinator Ken Norton Jr. joked he became a better coach.

Linebacker Bobby Wagner understood the dynamics of Thomas' situation.

"I think football is football, business is business. That's coach Carroll and John Schneider, that's business," Wagner said. "At the end of the day you can't really hate a person for wanting to provide for his family. That's how I look at it. He's been playing at a high level, he wanted more money. That's kind of on them."

Thomas is a three-time first-team All-Pro and was the anchor for the Seattle defense that appeared in consecutive Super Bowls, winning the first. Aside from suffering a broken leg late in the 2016 season, Thomas has been a durable starter from the time he arrived in the league. He has missed just seven regular-season games in his career.

His holdout was based on seeking certainty for the long term. He asked for a trade if Seattle wasn't willing to give him a contract extension. The idea of a trade, for now James Hurst Jersey , was squashed by Carroll on Wednesday when he said: "He's a Seahawk. He's always been and will be one forever."

The reality is Thomas will be an unrestricted free agent next spring just before his 30th birthday. In a post for The Players' Tribune earlier this summer, Thomas wrote that he was shaken by the injuries suffered by Richard Sherman and Kam Chancellor 鈥?two other members of Seattle's "Legion of Boom" secondary 鈥?in a Thursday night game last season. Sherman ruptured his Achilles tendon, ending his season, and Chancellor suffered a neck injury. Sherman was released by Seattle in the offseason and signed with San Francisco. Chancellor 鈥?while not officially retired 鈥?is not expected to play again because of the injury.

Clearly, Thomas wants security, but he's putting aside his desires for now.

With Thomas out, Seattle has used Tedric Thompson as its primary free safety. Thompson missed the final preseason game with a shoulder stinger and rib injury suffered a week earlier, but was in line to start the opener. If Thomas is ready to play, he'll team with Bradley McDougald at strong safety. The pair played together for the latter half of last season following Chancellor's injury.

"I feel like we figured it out pretty well," McDougald said. "We ended up getting a good connection, a good relationship between us and I feel like we're going to pick up where we left off."

With the NHL playoffs coming around the corner http://www.officialhockeypanthersshop.com/authentic-adidas-james-reimer-jersey , some of the professional hockey teams are working harder than ever in order to seize a postseason berth sooner than later. This excludes the handful of teams who have already clinched a playoff berth, so they can sit back and relax a little bit as there isn't so much pressure on the ice anymore.

As for the teams who have already been mathematically eliminated, like Zach Parise Jersey , say, the once-successful Chicago Blackhawks聽club who won in recent odd years of 2010, 2013 and 2015. Players who are members of such teams are probably really disappointed about the fact they wouldn't be playing in the Stanley Cup Playoffs Womens Saquon Barkley Jersey , but their WAGs will probably help comfort them and alleviate their pain during these gloomy days. Not only are the majority of these lovely ladies attractive as heck, they're likely successful in their own right, which is a plus because it's always nice when a man finds an independent woman who has her own job and can earn a similar or at least decent income compared to her wealthy partner or spouse.

There are also NHL legends who have gorgeous daughters. They may not聽approve of their daughters dating athletes Ravens Cheap Jerseys , but each father has a different opinion on dating. Regardless of their parenting methods, they're just looking out for their kids to help them remain grounded.

Now let's take a look at the most anticipated part of this list: Eight聽young NHL players with pretty girlfriends and eight legends with gorgeous daughters.

The New York Giants have signed guard Zac Kerin and waived first-year offensive lineman Ethan Cooper.

The Giants announced the moves Thursday, less than two weeks before the opening of training camp.

Kerin has played in 14 regular-season games with one start Authentic Harrison Phillips Jersey , and one postseason game. He was signed as a rookie free agent by Minnesota in 2014 and spent that season on the Vikings' practice squad. He appeared in 13 games for Minnesota over the next two seasons. He was signed by Detroit Lions last season and started one game.

Cooper was on the Giants' practice squad from Oct. 11, 2016 to the end of the season. He did not make the Pittsburgh Steelers' roster last year. He has never played in a regular-season game.

The Oakland Raiders finished the NFL draft by taking another risk Craig Smith Jersey , although this one could come with an extremely high payoff.

The Raiders traded up in the fifth round on Saturday to take talented Michigan pass rusher Maurice Hurst, who fell from a projected first-round pick to off some draft boards because of concerns from a heart condition that got him sent home from the combine.

"It's money," Hurst said. "Just upset and disappointed in teams that decided not to pick me. But one got a great player for very little. So I'm very excited to be part of the Raiders organization."

The Raiders traded the 159th and 185th picks to Indianapolis for the 140th pick on Saturday and used it to take a player who might have gone in the first round had he not had health concerns.

But he got sent home from the combine after a heart issue was detected. Hurst said it was something he has dealt with for a long time and hadn't impacted him on the field. He said he has been cleared by doctors at Harvard and Michigan but that didn't prevent his fall.

"It's tough just going into it thinking that you're one of the top players in the draft and having good tape and everything like that," he said. "Just having to wait and see guys that you believe that you're better than go ahead of you, I mean it's tough. But I'm just happy to be in the right place and part of a great organization."

Raiders general manager Reggie McKenzie said the team had no concerns about Hurst's ability to get on the field and said he expected him to take part in rookie minicamp next week. The team will keep monitoring him but he currently has no limitations.

"The fact is that he does have a heart condition but it's a situation where he'll get checked every year but right now he's good," McKenzie said.

Hurst was an All-American and one of the most productive defensive players in the country last season. He had 5陆 sacks as an interior rusher and led all nose tackles and defensive tackles with 49 total quarterback pressures, according to Pro Football Focus.

"The one thing he can do is work the edge of the offensive linemen," McKenzie said. "He does a good job of maneuvering around that blocking and getting up field."

The move for Hurst was one of several this weekend when the Raiders made high-risk, high-reward moves. They dealt a third-round pick to Pittsburgh on Thursday for talented receiver Martavis Bryant, who has been suspended twice for substance abuse issues.

Oakland then traded up in the third round Friday to take LSU pass rusher Arden Key, who was viewed as a first-round talent but spent time in drug rehabilitation in college.

The Raiders also used two picks on Friday for FCS players whom they believe have the upside to thrive in the NFL in defensive lineman P.J. Hall from Sam Houston State and offensive tackle Brandon Parker of North Carolina A&T.

Here are some other takeaways from draft weekend:

CORNER HELP

The Raiders started the day Saturday by taking Wisconsin cornerback Nick Nelson with the 110th overall pick. Nelson spent his first two seasons at Hawaii before transferring. He has no career interceptions but did have 21 passes defensed last season. He allowed just 37 percent of passes thrown his way to be caught last season Youth Preston Brown Jersey , according to Pro Football Focus, and might have been taken higher if not for a knee injury during a pre-draft workout with Detroit.

JUST FOR KICKS

After cutting punter Marquette King last month, the Raiders found his potential replacement in the fifth round Saturday. They took Florida's Johnny Townsend 173rd overall and as the third punter in the fifth round. Townsend is the all-time leading punter for the Gators and averaged 46.2 yards per kick in his career and is known for his skill as a directional punter. This marks the fourth time the Raiders have drafted a punter with Ray Guy making the Hall of Fame and Shane Lechler going to seven Pro Bowls.

SEEING RED

McKenzie had mixed emotions when his son, Kahlil, was drafted in the sixth round by the rival Kansas City Chiefs.

"I got a text from Charles Woodson. He said, 'Your son has to retire. There's no way he's going to put that red helmet on his head,'" McKenzie said. "Part of me felt that way but in all seriousness, it's a good opportunity for him."

TRADING POST

The Raiders were wheeling and dealing during the draft, making seven trades in all, including the one to acquire Bryant. They moved down in the first round and again in the second, before using some of those extra picks to move up for both of their third-round picks. Oakland then traded up again for Hurst Michael Crabtree Jersey , as only four of the nine players taken came with picks the Raiders had entering the draft.

The Raiders then made a player swap late in the day Saturday, sending disappointing 2016 second-round defensive tackle Jihad Ward to Dallas for receiver Ryan Switzer, a fourth-round pick last year who excelled as a returner as a rookie.

STILL NEED

The Raiders went into the draft with needs at inside linebacker and didn't address it until the sixth round when they took Washington's Azeem Victor with the 216th overall pick. Victor was suspended for a DUI charge last season. McKenzie said he has not ruled out bringing back last year's starter NaVorro Bowman, who is still on the free agent market looking for a deal next year.

LOS ANGELES — Two things Clayton Kershaw clearly hates: Being on the disabled list and having pitch restrictions while on the mound.

The Los Angeles Dodgers‘ left-hander might be done with both when he takes the mound Tuesday against the Pittsburgh Pirates. Kershaw will be making his third start since coming off the disabled list for his most recent back injury and has been trending in a positive direction.

What Kershaw would like to see is more of the offense the Dodgers showed in Monday’s series opener, when the club scored 17 runs on 21 hits in an easy victory.

Tasked with slowing that offense at Dodger Stadium, while matching Kershaw pitch for pitch, will be Pirates right-hander Ian Nova.

If Kershaw is almost all the way back on top after an injury, Nova is there already. In four starts since coming off the DL because of a sprained right finger, Nova is 2-0 with a 1.75 ERA.

Kershaw is only this far along in his return from the DL because the Dodgers pulled a last-minute switch on June 23, and had him pitch in New York against the Mets instead of with Triple-A Oklahoma City on a rehab outing.

Kershaw threw 55 pitches against the Mets, giving up two runs on five hits over three innings. On June 28 against the Chicago Cubs Authentic Martin Kaut Jersey , Kershaw was back at it, throwing 68 pitches while giving up one run on four hits over five innings.

A natural progression would have Kershaw at about 80 pitches on Tuesday, but Kershaw has a way of getting more out of himself when the situation requires it.

“I’ve proven that I’m healthy,” Kershaw told reporters after his most recent start. “So now, next time out I’m sure the restriction should hopefully be pretty close to off. (I will) get ready and just try to beat an opponent.”

Nova has thrown between 86 and 94 pitches in his four starts since coming off the DL and has given up one or no runs in three of those outings. The one where he did not was on Wednesday at New York. But he did hold the Mets to three runs over six innings, keeping the Pirates close enough to put together a ninth-inning rally for a victory.

That victory was part of a Pirates run where they won four of six games and took series at New York and San Diego. Sure there was a five-game losing streak before that, but going back even further, the Pirates had won four of five.

So even though they were roughed up by the Dodgers on Monday, the Pirates have learned the value of resiliency.

“We’re well aware of what we need to improve upon,” manager Clint Hurdle said, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. “We’re well aware of our monthly progress and then some of our monthly challenges. Love the fact that the game brings attention to specific areas http://www.officialhockeyjetsshop.com/authentic-adidas-jacob-trouba-jersey , daily, weekly, monthly, and then I love to watch how some guys are able to fight and battle and work through it.”

Up next is a challenge against Kershaw, who is 2-3 with a 3.18 ERA in 11 career starts against Pittsburgh. The Pirates are one of two National League teams Kershaw has a losing record against in the regular season, along with the Philadelphia Phillies.

Nova knows his way around the Dodgers, going 1-0 with a 2.31 ERA in two starts, one in each of the previous two seasons.

Hes expected to be sidelined at least three weeks. In his absence, backups Charles Sims and Jacquizz Rodgers, whos only been with the team for a week, figure to assume a heavier workload.Sims accounted for 1,090 all-purpose yards in 2015, but mainly has been a situational, change-of-pace back.Rodgers has started five of 69 games hes appeared in during a six-year career thats included stints with the Atlanta Falcons and Chicago Bears. Every running back does, Monken added. There are a few things we may have to do a little bit differently, but really we have to be who we are. ... We anticipate him playing well, and weve got to play well around him.Martin wasnt alone in sitting out practice Wednesday. Defensive end Robert Ayers (ankle), receiver Cecil Shorts III, left tackle Donovan Smith (hip) and tight end Luke Stocker (ankle) are all on the injury report after facing the Cardinals.Koetter offered little in the way of an injury update, especially on Martin, who rushed for 85 yards on 25 carries the past two weeks.Im sure you can understand my point of view is Im not going to sit up here and tell our opponents everything were going to do, the coach said after practice. On Monday, though, he acknowledged that playing without Martin would impact the offense significantly.Even though we feel like we have really good backups at that positon ... when you take a top-level player out, you usually dont have exactly the same caliber player behind him, Koetter said. YAS MARINA, Marina Bay -- Jenson Button said he was sad to be unable to finish one last race for his fans after an early retirement ended his Abu Dhabi Grand Prix early. http://www.eaglesrookiestore.com/Eagles-Jason-Peters-Jersey/ .Button came to Yas Marina knowing it was his last before a sabbatical from F1, though over the weekend he admitted he was treating it like the final race of his career despite an option to return in 2018. The McLaren drivers evening lasted just 12 laps before a right suspension failure forced him to retire in the pit-lane.After the race, Button was philosophical about his retirement and once again looked ahead to life without F1.I really dont know what the problem was, something failed on the car, he said. Thats something that never happens to us, thats a massive strength of our team, things dont fail, but they did today, of all days. Ive always said you cant change the last, you live in the moment, which is now, and then Ill go and grab a nice cold beer when Im finished with the interviews.I didnt hit anything with that tyre, it was the right front that broke. I havent done anything different from what Ive done for the last 17 years. Its a surprise, but Im glad I was able to figure it out before I hit the brakes going into Turn 11. Anyway, its done, and still massively enjoyed today. For sure the race was short but I enjoyed everything else. Im just sad for my fans and supporters that I wasnt able to finish the race.Button, who is being replaced by Stoffel Vandoorne next year, says the racing and the modern F1 cars are the main things he will miss. What Ill miss is the bit I just did, driving the car, because these cars are amazing pieces of kit. They are also frustrating, at times, but this is the bit that Ill miss. Also the team spirit, that is amazing at McLaren, Ill miss that, but Ill try my best to find something new. http://www.eaglesrookiestore.com/Eagles-Wes-Hopkins-Jersey/ .com) - The Calgary Flames aim to bounce back from their first regulation home loss of the campaign on Friday night when they host a Detroit Red Wings club that they swept in three meetings a season ago. http://www.eaglesrookiestore.com/Eagles-...allwood-Jersey/ . On Tuesday, Ottawa placed forward Cory Conacher and defenceman Joe Corvo on waivers as trade rumours swirl around the Senators. INDIANAPOLIS -- The United States Auto Club used the forum of the annual Performance Racing Industry Show to launch a series of new initiatives to improve safety and logistics for competitors.USACs TracSafe package is a system of lights mounted on the dash and the rear of the car linked into the timing and scoring system that will speed up the process of indicating when a caution flag is displayed for an accident or other hazard on the track.TracSafe will be utilized in USACs Sprint Car, Silver Crown and Midget series. As soon as timing and scoring indicates a caution, a yellow light will immediately illuminate on every cars dash, which could be several seconds sooner than when the driver would see a caution flag displayed at the start line or a marshalls stand. The three lights mounted to the rear of the car also function as leader lights that will help spectators follow the race.At a typical dirt track, the people in the tower call Yellow, but there can still be a delay if the flagman doesnt hear the call, plus he has to get out the flag and turn on the light, said USAC President and CEO Kevin Miller. That delay can be 2-4 seconds, and a Sprint Car at Eldora travels a long way in that time.We worked on eliminating that delay, and now when the [scoring] tower goes yellow, the car goes yellow.Miller said that USAC was already working on a leader light system, but a fatal Midget accident in August at the Belleville (Kansas) High Banks involving popular driver Bryan Clauson drew attention to the issue of potential delays in notifying drivers of a caution. It became one of the safety initiatives we were developing, Miller noted. Bryan was hitt by another car, and I dont know what all of the circumstances were, but if you can save one or two seconds, it changes a drivers perspective. http://www.eaglesrookiestore.com/Eagles-Sidney-Jones-Jersey/. .If we can buy one or two seconds, this is worth the cost, because it happens every night.USAC will maintain ownership of the components to make the simple updates to the cars. There will be no cost to competitors. The leader lights are a development of a design introduced in ALMS sports car racing in the early 2000s. One of USACs biggest challenges was developing a self-powered system to keep the TracSafe electronic components functioning in push-start cars that do not feature a battery. We wanted to come up with a similar system, but at a much lower cost for our kind of racing, Miller said. It essentially clips on to the car.USACs MedTag program aims to rapidly provide critical medical information to safety workers attending to an injured driver. A small scanning sticker on each drivers helmet will immediately link to detailed medical records.?Were doing this for every series we sanction, said Miller.USAC has been expanding its net outside of the oval track racing it is famous for. The Indianapolis-based group has taken over sanction of the Pirelli World Challenge road racing series, as well as Formula Drift, Global Rallycross, Robby Gordons Stadium Super Trucks, and TORC off-road racing.?For competitor convenience, USAC is implementing a program called TracPay, in which prize money checks will be replaced by immediate deposits onto reloadable debit cards. Road to Shine, which attracted some 1,400 competitors, was run in part by SmashGG employee Bassem Bear Dahdouh, who also works with Panda Global as a team manager.Since Road to Shine was such a success, I just had to find some way to help bring this again for another tournament but evolve the concept, Dahdouh tells ESPN. The Key to the PG House will be the biggest online endeavor in Smash Bros. history if the bracket fills up. Yogi Berra Jersey . In a viral video released by the European Tour on Friday, world No. Matteo Darmian Jersey . 2 Rory McIlroy answered questions from 9-year-old Little Billy on a wide assortment of topics that varied from his decision to skip the Olympics to what golf clubs he might use in 2017.McIlroy, who played along and was a good sport through it all, chuckled at nearly every question tossed his way, sometimes with an uncomfortable awkwardness that lent itself to the authenticity of the session. Some of the playful queries on serious topics included:? If youre so tough, how come youre so scared of a little mosquito? (This came in reference to McIlroy skipping the Rio Olympics in August in part because of the Zika virus scare that has been linked to birth defects in children.) McIlroy replied that he was looking forward to having kids someday and a few people used that excuse and I sort of jumped on the bandwagon.? Whos your favorite girrrrrl tennis player? (McIlroy was expecting to marry former world No. 1 tennis player Caroline Wozniacki before he broke off the engagement in 2014.) After struggling to find an answer, McIlroy conceded, Honestly, Billy, Ive stopped following womens tennis the last couple of years.??Showing a photo of some of McIlroys past hairstyles, Billy asked, What weeeere you thinking? (It was a phase and I should have listened to my dad, came McIlroys response.)? Little Billy told the four-time major champ that he wanted to interview Tiger Woods next. The 9-year-old asked whether McIlroy could put in a good word for him with Woods.Ill put in a good word for you, McIlroy said. Id love to see you interview Tiger. Id love to see that. The youngster followed up by asking whether he should ask Woods for career advice or chat-up (pickup) lines.Chat-up lines, McIlroy said. Hes been pretty successful in both areas, but I dont see why you couldnt ask him both questions.??In possibly the first time a U.S. president-elect and a former One Direction singer were mentioned in the same sentence, Little Billy posed the question, Who tries the hardest to be your friend, Donald Trump or Niall Horan? They both love golf, McIlroy answered. I think thats a great thing. And because Im good at it, its nice to have a relationship. Id say Trump tried a little harder than Niall did.? With Nike exiting the golf club business and McIlroy a major endorser of the brand, Little Billy asked the Northern Irishman what kind of clubs he should get for Christmas if he wanted ones just like McIlroys next year.McIlroy deftly replied that Santa would know, stopping the kid in his tracks. So what was McIlroy expecting from the cub reporter? It was a lot of fun, McIlroy said Saturday. [I got a call] the week before and [was asked], how close to the bone can we go? And I said, look, I dont mind, you can go as close as you want. Wasnt quite expecting some of the questions that came up, but it was all in good fun.McIlroy, who shot 68 in Round 3 of the DP World Tour Championship, where the interview with Little Billy occurred, scrambled as best he could considering the circumstances.I definitely had to put my thinking hat on a couple of times and try to wiggle out a couple of them as best I could,?McIlroy said. The interview, which aired Friday, ended with Little Billy offering an early wedding gift to McIlroy, who is engaged to American Erica Stoll. When McIlroy opened the box full of socks, he looked at Little Billy with a bemused expression.Just in case you get cold feet again, the 9-year-old said. SEATTLE -- One of the most anticipated pitching matchups of the season happened in April and is about to take place again at Safeco Field. Mike Marjama Jersey .Anticipated in Japan, anyway.Japanese pitching stars Masahiro Tanaka of the New York Yankees and Seattles Hisashi Iwakuma, former teammates with the Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles of Japans Pacific League, will go at it again after Tanaka and the Yankees beat Iwakuma and the Mariners 4-3 in April.Iwakuma was something of a mentor to Tanaka in Japan, as he was the ace of the staff when Tanaka joined the Golden Eagles out of high school. Now their roles have reversed, as Tanaka is one of baseballs most popular Japanese imports while Iwakuma has quietly toiled in Felix Hernandezs shadow for most of his five major league seasons.Numbers-wise, theyre very similar this season. Tanaka (10-4, 3.24 ERA) has won three starts in a row and is living up to his billing, while Iwakuma (14-8, 3.78 ERA) has been a pleasant surprise after being cast off by the Dodgers due to injury concerns last winter.Theyve both come a long way since their April duel, which left Tanaka saying he was just extremely satisfied being able to get that win.The stakes are a little higher this time around, as the Yankees (64-61) try to make one last push to climb back into playoff contention and the Mariners (67-58) try to stay there. New Yorks 5-1 win on Tuesday night left Seattle two games back in the American League wild-card race. Its really important for us to win the series tomorrow, Mariners manager Scott Servais said late Tuesday night. Weve had a pretty good homestand, weve swung the bats well, its just that (Tuesday starter CC Sabathia) got to us.With just 37 games remaining, and two upcoming series against the AL West-leading Rangers, the Mariners cant afford to lose many more games against non-contenders if theyre going to stay in the wild-card race.Every game is big for us, especially when youre behind other teams, said Mariners second baseman Robinson Cano, a former Yankee. You want to keep winning, battling. The Yankees have even less gray area when it comes to winning games down the stretch.Tuesdays win put them five games back in the wild-card race, so theyre skating on thin ice. Many people thought New Yorks chances at the postseason were dashed when the team started trading veterans like Carlos Beltran and Aroldis Chapman, but the young Yankees have surprised people with a respectable 12-9 record in August. Young prospects like catcher Gary Sanchez and outfielder Aaron Judge have come in and given the Yankees new life despite their slim postseason chances. Its exciting, veteran pitcher CC Sabathia said of the Yankees resurgence. Its fun. You want to watch Sanchez hit every time. You want to watch Judge hit every time. Its been a lot of fun, and its fun to be around the clubhouse. The Yankees have an off day Thursday after the afternoon game. RALEIGH, N. He had a tremendous game, and it was good to get the win.New Jersey had been off to its worst road start since going 0-5-2 in 2013-14. The Devils lost to Florida 4-3 in overtime and then suffered a 4-1 loss at Tampa Bay in their last two outings. We didnt like the way things were going in the last couple, Cammalleri said. He also had a key blocked shot late as Carolina was pressing.Carolina pulled Lack for an extra skater with four minutes left but could not generate another goal. The Hurricanes began the year with one of the leagues top power-play units but have gone four games without a man-advantage goal. SEPANG, Malaysia -- Mercedes boss Toto Wolff has labelled Nico Rosbergs 10-second penalty for hitting Kimi Raikkonen at the Malaysian Grand Prix as complete nonsense.Rosberg was penalised for barging past Raikkonen at Turn 2 on lap 38, slapping his right-rear tyre against the sidepod of the Ferrari as he did so. Wolff said his main focus after the race was on Lewis Hamiltons engine failure, which occurred three laps later, but was also outspoken about the 10-second penalty that was added to Rosbergs race time. The penalty is just complete nonsense, he said. Its not what I want to focus on because we have let Lewis down today and that should be something that we are beating up ourselves [for] and not moan about an unfair penalty that didnt make any difference because Nico was still third [at the end of the race].But over a couple of months ago we decided together [in Formula One] that we wanted to allow the racing between all the cars and if it wasnt 100 percent clear that someone was at fault then we would let them race against each other ... and then this. I dont know, it is for others to comment and not my main priority after that race today. Bobby Orr Jersey. Rosberg managed to build a 12 second gap over Raikkonen so that the penalty did not affect his final position, but also revealed he had to push his engine harder than he wanted to build up the buffer.I accept [the penalty], he said. And Im fortunate that it didnt cost me a position in the race, of course. I had to give it everything lap after lap again in the end there to re-gap that 10 seconds to make sure we had a 10 second gap, and at the same time save the engine because of Lewiss problem. We were a bit hesitant to run it all out until the end so its a bit of a two-pronged.Rosberg said he had not planned the move as he approached Turn 1, but decided to make the lunge at Turn 2 when he saw Raikkonen leave a gap.You just take it as it comes, and I saw the opportunity and knew I had to give it a go at some point and of course be a bit aggressive to get by.I saw the opportunity in the middle [of the corner]. You need to be creative, wherever it comes take it. Sky Sports News HQs Alex Hammond provides a race-by-race guide to Thursday at the Cheltenham Festival. Jimmy Wynn Jersey . 1.30 JLT NOVICES CHASEBristol De Mai was beaten by Garde La Victoire on his chase debut but he has progressed since and won the Scilly Isles Novices Chase at Sandown last time out. The step up to this trip has been the making of him. The news that Killultagh Vic was missing the race promoted him to favouritism, but hes not for me. One horse that is very well fancied is the Willie Mullins trained Outlander, who is a better chaser than he was a hurdler. Hes 3/3 over fences and looks to be getting better all the time. Connections of Garde La Victoire have opted for the JLT Chase Garde La Victoire has had three untroubled starts over fences this season for Philip Hobbs and I am glad he missed the Arkle to wait for this. It looks like hell have no trouble staying two and a half miles and it will probably suit better. He has won over the trip and is a smart novice. Black Hercules was unfortunate to fall at the last at Navan in February, but heavy ground seems to suit best. I cant split Garde La Victoire and Outlander. Alex Hammond is joined by Ed Chamberlin to look ahead to an exciting week of racing at the Cheltenham festival 2.10 PERTEMPS NETWORK FINALThis is a race where you are looking for a likely plot! Irish trainer Charles Byrnes is shrewd and knows how to train a horse for the Festival. He has Leave At Dawn in this, who won at Cheltenham in November on his penultimate start and is owned by JP McManus. The money has come for him. Cup Final is trained by Nicky Henderson and is another for McManus. He is progressive and stays well. Warren Greatrex trains Missed Approach who qualified for this in November at Newbury and hasnt been seen since. That was his first run for almost a year and he is unexposed and open to improvement. Greatrex is keen on his chance and wasnt too fazed by a 20lb rise in the handicap. Alex fancies Missed Approach to go close in the Pertemps Final If In Doubt is trained by Hobbs for McManus. He was raised 6lbs for winning at Wincanton on Boxing Day and hasnt been seen since, as I guess they didnt want him to be raised further in the weights once he had managed to qualify for this. He was 9th in this two years ago and 5th in the RSA last season and is now rated 146. Box Office is another McManus-owned horse, this time with Jonjo ONeill. He is yet to win since coming over from France, where he won three from four, and was beaten by six lengths in the Fred Winter at last years Festival; he should be competitive off 135. He didnt enjoy bad ground at Haydock when pulling up latest and is dangerous to discount. Arpege DAlene comes here in good form after a win at Chepstow recently and is also rated 146. He has had a breathing op and, as he didnt appear to be hugely fancied last time, there could be more to come. For me, Ill be on both Leave At Dawn and Missed Approach.2.50 RYANAIR CHASEI think Vautour may have ended up in the race that suits him best. Rich Ricci had been keen to go for the Gold Cup with last years impressive JLT winner but he couldnt win the King George and I couldnt see him staying in the Gold Cup. I think hes a shoo-in here. As for the Gigginstown horses, Valseur Lido is at his best over further distance than this trip, but has a chance despite that. He was desperately unlucky to unseat in the Irish Gold Cup and fell in the King George prior to that. Lets not forget he was a dual Grade 1 winning novice chaser. Could this be the year for Al Ferof in the Ryanair? Road To Riches needs to bounce back from a defeat in the Irish Gold Cup behind Carlingford Lough (when Valseur Lido unseated at the last and was very unlucky). He has shown his effectiveness at this trip, but Noel Meade made no secret of the fact he would have preferred to run in the Gold Cup, as he feels this trip might be too sharp for him. Al Ferof has had his limitations exposed at the very highest level but is going well for new trainer Dan Skelton and cant be ruled out, maybe this is his year. Josses Hill is another that falls short at the highest level, but he did have a confidence booster at Kempton last time out and has his backers. Smashing probably needs testing ground to show his best.3.30 RYANAIR WORLD HURDLEI was confident of a Cole Harden win in this last year and win he did….at 14/1! Id love to see him win again and dont think its unrealistic for him to repeat the performance. The ground should be spot on for him by Thursday, so that ticks that box. He has been trained purely with this race in mind and has had another breathing operation. Trainer Greatrex feels that hot favourite Thistlecrack has largely been bullying horses on bad ground this winter and said last week that he wont bully Cole Harden. Alex thinks Cole Harden can win the World Hurdle for the second year in a row Having said that, Thistlecrack has looked pretty formidable this season and his overall record is outstanding. He deserves to be hot favourite, but is short enough in the market. Saphir Du Rheu was runner-up in this last year, but hasnt fulfilled his potential over fences this season and reverted to hurdles when well beaten behind Thistlecrack in the Long Walk at Ascot. Im going to stick with Cole Harden again and hes an attractive price to boot.4.10 BROWN ADVISORY & MERRIEBELLE STABLE PLATEThis is a tough race to find the winner of, with big priced winners often the norm. Johns Spirit has dropped to an attractive mark for ONeill and is a regular at this track with 13 outings here resulting in three wins and a second. Stilletto is rated 142, which is up 10lbs since winning at Leicester, but I think he can still be competitive off his revised mark as his form stacks up and he is a progressive novice. Stilletto looks a likely contender for the 4.10 4.50 TRULL HOUSE STUD MARES NOVICES HURDLEI have mixed feelings about this race. The charity race, the St Patricks Derby, was always the final race on the Thursday, but that has been lost to make way for this race and with it hundreds of thousands of pounds in sponsorship raised for charity, and the thrill for ordinary folk like myself of riding at the Festival. Back to the matter in hand, though, and many people will have the Mullins-trained Limini as a banker here. She was useful on the Flat in France and is now 2/2 over hurdles for Mullins. There look to be some better priced alternatives to finish in the first three, particularly as the favourite doesnt appear to be the slickest of jumpers. Bloody Mary for Henderson comes here with a stretch of seven races unbeaten, just one of those for Henderson since coming over from France. The one I like is Smart Talk, shes the model of consistency and won a Grade 2 at Doncaster last time out for Brian Ellison. Shes got bags of scope, is progressing, and shouldnt be out of the frame. Bloody Mary is among the mares looking to upset the hot favourite in the 4.50 5.30 FULKE WALWYN KIM MUIR CHALLENGE CUP HANDICAP CHASEJockey bookings are worth taking note of here, with the leading Irish amateurs usually snapped up for the fancied runners. Cause Of Causes has been well supported for this for McManus, so hes no double figure price. He has winning Festival form, having landed the NH Chase last term. He hasnt won since, was eighth in the National, and is likely to have had this as his target for a while. He runs off a rating of 142 and is another leading contender for trainer Gordon Elliott. Doctor Harper got off the mark at the third attempt at Leicester last time out and is a progressive novice. He has smart form and rates as one of David Pipes best chances at the meeting. The yard won it last year with The Package. I think its between those two, with Cause Of Causes getting the nod. Alex will end the day on a high if Cause Of Causes can land the Kim Muir Also See: Champion glory for Annie Power Cheltenham latest Evan Gattis Jersey . And when it opened, every player was at his stall. Thats a sure sign that a team is in a slump and is searching for answers. "Its embarrassing to be at home and play the way we did," said defenceman Josh Gorges. George Springer Jersey . Their 38th instalment is arguably their biggest fight card to date, including three-title fights and a main event which was selected by the fans. The promotion boasts 14-straight years of business and is operated by MFC president Mark Pavelich, who is often overlooked in this country for the foundation hes established for MMA in Canada. Yoenis Cespedes, by near unanimous consensus, is the best free agent available this offseason. That probably wouldnt be the case most seasons, but hes coming off back-to-back 30-homer seasons, he thrived while playing in a big market with the New York Mets, and he is a plus defender in left field. After inconsistent results at the plate his first few seasons in the league, he has matured into a middle-of-the-order threat. The past two seasons, he ranks eighth among major league outfielders in WAR.The negatives: He just turned 31, and for a player who relies so much on his physicality, there are concerns about how he might age if his body doesnt hold up, aside from the general risk of signing a player his age to a multiyear deal. Some analysts have suggested that teams aare concerned hell lose focus if he signs a long-term contract, which could be one reason he didnt get the lucrative deal he sought last offseason and returned to the Mets on what turned out to be a one-year contract.
