CLEVELAND -- The Cleveland Cavaliers are taking a chance on Andrew Bynum and his creaky knees. Cheap Adidas NMD China . The free agent centre, who never played one second with Philadelphia last season because of knee injuries, has agreed to terms on a two-year contract with the Cavs, a person familiar with the negotiations told The Associated Press. Bynum accepted the deal on Wednesday night, said the person who spoke on condition of anonymity because the team hasnt announced the agreement. Earlier Wednesday, Bynum visited the Dallas Mavericks, and earlier this week met with the Atlanta Hawks. The 7-footer was traded to the 76ers last summer as part of a four-team blockbuster. Bynum, a former All-Star with the Lakers, was expected to help Philadelphia contend, but the 25-year-old never stepped on the court and underwent surgery on both knees in March. The Cavs are only guaranteeing $6 million and one year to Bynum, the person said. The team has a $12 million option on the second year, and the contract could reach $24 million if Bynum hits certain performance bonuses. Its a minimal-risk signing for the Cavs, who have concerns about Bynums knees and will have protection built into the deal. But owner Dan Gilberts willingness to take the gamble allowed the Cavs to get a player who could help them climb back among the elite teams in the Eastern Conference. In Cleveland, Bynum will be reunited with Cavs coach Mike Brown. The two spent one season together in Los Angeles, and Bynum had his most productive year as a pro, averaging 18.7 points and 11.8 rebounds in 60 games while earning an All-Star spot. Bynum, if healthy, should move the Cavs from one of the Easts worst teams to a playoff contender. Cleveland won just 24 games last season and has won only 66 in the three years since LeBron James left. Bynum can change that. With two NBA titles, he has plenty of playoff experience and he will give the Cavs another proven star to go along with All-Star point guard Kyrie Irving and a young, talented core. In guaranteeing Bynum only one year, the Cavs have an out if he doesnt perform up to expectations. But if he does play well, the Cavs will have a roster that could attract another high-profile free agent next summer, when James can opt out of his deal in Miami and hit the market. The landing of Bynum caps a successful off-season for the Cavs and especially general manager Chris Grant, who had more pressure placed on him when Gilbert vowed after winning the NBA draft lottery that the Cavs would get back to the playoff next season. After re-hiring Brown, who was fired three years ago, Grant selected UNLV forward Anthony Bennett with the No. 1 overall pick in last months draft. Cleveland then reached agreements with free agent forward Earl Clark and guard Jarrett Jack, two players who will fit nicely into the Cavs rotation. The Cavs will introduce Clark and Jack at a news conference on Friday, but Bynum is not expected to attend. Motivated and in shape, Bynum has the potential to get Cleveland back near the top more quickly. A force on the floor, the 280-pounder will give Brown a defensive presence to protect the rim and he can do enough on offence to keep teams honest inside. The Cavs sold Bynum on their future, and their association with the Cleveland Clinic and its doctors were a comfort to a player who has had knee problems for years. Bynum didnt work out for the Cavs, but the team was able to examine his knees and came away knowing there are risks but convinced he is worth their investment. Bynums agent, David Lee, has said his client will be ready when training camp begins. Bynums signing comes three summers after James decided to leave the Cavs after seven seasons to join Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh in Miami. Cleveland has had trouble luring high-profile free agents in the past, but if the gamble with Bynum pays off, that might not be such a problem in the future. Black Adidas NMD . Vesey skated up and beat Juuse Saros with a wrister over the goalies stick.Actually practiced some breakaways this morning, Vesey said. They usually go to my backhand. But Ive been working on faking my backhand and going to the forehand and just trying to flip it over his pad, and luckily it snuck in.Then Zuccarello scored to end the game.Rick Nash scored in regulation, and the Rangers improved to 11-5-0 away from New York in finishing off a two-game road swing with a second straight victory. Henrik Lundqvist made 31 saves, including stopping Ryan Johansen to start the shootout. Craig Smiths shot went wide for Nashville in the second round.Mike Fisher scored for Nashville, which has lost two straight and four of the last five. The Predators have lost all five games this season that have gone to overtime or a shootout. We had our chances, Fisher said of Saturdays game. Overtime and shootouts just havent been our friend for whatever reason. Its frustrating. That was a huge game. We have to start winning those games.Saturday night marked Veseys debut in Nashville, the left wing the Predators drafted No. 66 overall only to see him spurn the franchise and go to free agency after the Hobey Baker winner wrapped up his college career at Harvard. The Predators traded his rights to Buffalo, then Vesey chose the Rangers.Fans made it clear how unhappy they were at his decision by booing and chanting at him almost every time he came on the ice. They booed heavily once again as he came out to shoot first for the Rangers in the shootout. Once he beat SSaros, a smattering of Rangers fans cheered loudly. Wholesale Adidas NMD 2018. bviously we know the whole storyline, but I thought he handled it great and certainly comes through in a big situation there, Rangers defenseman Ryan McDonagh said. I liked the challenge there that our coach does by putting him out first, but way to come through there to get his first goal in a shootout.Lundqvist kept the Rangers in the game in the third as Nashville outshot them 14-6 in the period. His biggest came with a pad save on James Neal with 2:32 left as Neal beat a sprawling Dan Girardi on a breakaway chance. Our goaltender really stepped up in the third period, Rangers coach Alain Vigneault said.In overtime, Nashville got lucky when the puck went across the crease just outside the goal line with 3:10 left. Lundqvist got help from Zuccarello blocking a shot from Johansen in the slot with 90 seconds left.Nash put a wrister top shelf from a tough angle from the left for a 1-0 lead on New Yorks seventh shot at 7:47. He beat defenseman Petter Granberg, who played with P.K. Subban scratched with an upper-body injury.Nashville finally tied it up nearly midway through the second when Fisher took advantage of a screen in front by Colin Wilson to score from the high slot. The goal was Fishers 100th with the Predators.Game notes This was just the third time these teams have gone beyond regulation in 23 games all-time. ... Nash extended his points streak against the Predators to six straight with six goals in that span. ... Nick Holden, who had an assist on Nashs goal, now has seven points (five goals, two assists) in eight career games against the Predators. ... Fisher now has three goals in his past four games. ... Kevin Zeitler Jersey , Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz didn't want to see it happen again. Thanks to his defense, it didn't.The Eagles held onto a 24-18 victory at Wembley Stadium on Sunday after the Jacksonville Jaguars were twice held to a field goal in the fourth quarter, and failed to convert on fourth down with 3:41 remaining."We finished it," said Wentz, who threw for 286 yards and three touchdowns, all to different players. "At the end of the day, we finished it. We still didn't finish the way we wanted offensively. We had a chance to seal the deal but went three-and-out, and the defense stepped up. So I think at the end of the day, we finished well this week."Philadelphia (4-4) surrendered a 17-point lead in the final quarter of a loss to the Carolina Panthers a week earlier Authentic JC Tretter Jersey , and lost in overtime to the Tennessee Titans on Sept. 30 despite holding a seven-point advantage.Although the Eagles failed to pick up a first down when they got the ball back with 6:52 remaining — and rookie running back Josh Adams nearly fumbled on the first play, if not for the call being overturned on replay review — they otherwise converted 7 of 12 third-down opportunities.Jacksonville entered the fourth quarter down 17-12 after a failed 2-point conversion, and a pair of field goals by Josh Lambo kept them within six points even after the Eagles extended the lead on a 5-yard touchdown reception by tight end Zach Ertz.Blake Bortles, restored as the starter despite being pulled in a loss to the Houston Texans a week earlier, ran for 4 yards on fourth down with 4:26 left to prolong what would be the Jaguars' final drive. But he could not connect with Donte Moncrief on fourth-and-2 four plays later to seal the fate for Jacksonville (3-5)."They were on a roll," said Jaguars coach Doug Marrone. "They were getting on third down. We were having a tough time containing the quarterback ... and obviously, we couldn't contain the run."The Eagles finished with 395 total yards, their third-highest total this season, against the Jaguars Womens Damarious Randall Jersey , who entered the game with the league's second-ranked defense. Philly gained 133 rushing.Jacksonville claimed a 6-3 lead on two field goals by Lambo, including a career-long 57-yard attempt, but saw that disappear by halftime when rookie tight end Dallas Goedert had a 32-yard touchdown reception at the end of the second quarter.A 95-yard drive at the start of the third quarter ended with the Eagles taking a 17-6 lead after running back Wendell Smallwood took a screen pass 32 yards into the end zone, but the Jaguars marched 75 yards over nine plays and found the end zone when Bortles connected with Dede Westbrook under the uprights to trim their deficit to 17-12.That set the stage for the comeback, but the Jaguars' inability to get past the goal line despite two trips into the red zone ended their hopes of a fourth consecutive win at Wembley.NO BLAME FOR BORTLESMarrone said that Bortles was not the reason for the Jaguars' inability to win. Bortles, who went 24 for 41 with 286 yards and a touchdown, led the team in rushing with 43 yards on eight attempts."He gave us a chance," Marrone said. "He went out there and gave us a chance. He ran the ball well (and made) quick decisions. I don't think we have a problem. I don't think he's the player that cost us the game. He played well overall. A total team effort."LAST IN LONDONThe game, played before a record Youth Terrance Mitchell Jersey , pro-Eagles crowd of 85,870 fans, was the last of three played at Wembley this season. Roethlisberger fumbled on the following play after getting hit by Browns linebacker Genard Avery.Roethlisberger declined to say whether he had an MRI exam on the elbow. He is unlikely to practice on Wednesday, though that is not unusual for the 15-year veteran. Roethlisberger had a difficult day overall against the Browns, throwing three interceptions and fumbling twice.Second-year quarterback Josh Dobbs, who beat out veteran Landry Jones to serve as Roethlisberger's primary backup, will run with the first team if Roethlisberger cannot practice.Roethlisberger has missed just six games because of injury since the start of the 2013 season. Last week: 83 percent confidenceThis week, 96% of fans voted for their confidence in the direction of the Browns, a 13% increase from last week. Cleveland has now bounced exactly from 83% to 96% from Weeks 3 to 4, and now from Weeks 5 to 6, to correspond with the team’s wins and losses. The 96% confidence mark is the highest in the AFC North. If you recall, the Ravens were at a perfect 100% last week. All it took was one loss to the Browns for that confidence to plummet to 42%! The Bengals are at 87% confidence, while the Steelers are at 36% confidence. Will the Browns make the playoffs? In a new question this week, fans were asked if they thought the Browns would make the playoffs. Some may look at 43% of fans saying “yes” as being way too optimistic, but I actually see it as quite reserved. That was my selection too — but it would be a heck of a game to see if they squared off against each other.Jarvis Landry knew Baker Mayfield was “ready” since draft day Jarvis Landry said Baker Mayfield’s attitude and charisma are “contagious http://www.clevelandbrownsteamonline.com/jc-tretter-jersey ,” and that he knew the rookie was ready to play from the day the Cleveland Browns drafted him.Landry has said a lot. He has also backed it up by becoming the focal point of the Cleveland Browns offense. But even as a proven performer, the receiver said he needs to tweak some things with Mayfield taking over the quarterback position.“I got to turn up the JUGS machine to like eight or nine now, since Baker throws that ball so hard. He threw one to me in the game and I dropped it because I didn’t even know how to put my hands, and before I could make the decision, the ball was on me,” Landry said on NFL Network Ian Rapoport’s RapSheet and Friends podcast. “So, I just realized it’s a little bit of a different ball, a lot more velocity, so I definitely got to get on the JUGS for that, and catch as many balls from Baker as possible.”“I just kind of kept running and before you know it the ball was up and he throws the ball with so much zing,” Landry told Rapoport. “It got to me so quickly.”Mayfield’s velocity and quick decision-making were two standout traits he showcased last Thursday. While he might not fit the prototypical physical mold many think of when they imagine the ideal NFL quarterback, he spins a pretty football like you’d expect. You know there’s some English on those passes if a veteran like Landry is having to make adjustments to keep up.But throwing a pretty ball and making quick decisions aren’t all that goes into engineering a successful offense. It takes a connection between a quarterback and his receivers.“It is just trust. He is a football player and so am I. The trust level. To say that we have not gotten any reps [the trust level] seemed pretty high on Thursday,” Landry said during Wednesday’s player availability. There’s still a ways to go before Landry and Mayfield completely trust and are familiar enough with one another, but early returns have been positive. They’re going to be put in new situations each week and will benefit from figuring each other out when challenged in different ways.Since trust is so important http://www.clevelandbrownsteamonline.com/joel-bitonio-jersey , it’s remarkable how quickly the pair were able to build up a playing rapport despite not practicing together much at all. That speaks to how much both players prepare, not just in the week leading up to game day, but every day since they showed up in Berea.Because of his talent, attitude and work ethic, Landry said he has known for awhile that the rookie has what it takes to play in the NFL.“Since the day that that they drafted him,” Landry responded to the question. “Obviously, understanding the potential and the things that he can do and what makes him special and having the guys around him with the trust level at a premium to make the plays, as well.”“One thing that I know about him, he walks it like he talks it,” Landry added. “That is something that I appreciate and I respect about him and that he has continued to do.”After another solid day of interviews, Landry wouldn’t escape without leaving us another sound bite to chew on as we prepare for Mayfield’s first NFL start.“It’s that walk it talk it. He definitely has that attitude and charisma, and you know that’s contagious,” Landry finished with a chuckle. “It’s contagious.“Contagious.” Custom Seattle Seahawks Jerseys

You can’t go 1-15 or 0-16 and have people like you unless you come out and explain to everyone that you’re going to lose. We played with street free agents and practice squad players in WRs. Yet our offense was the same or better than what we were doing this year. There is no way that should happen.”Of course, it’s easy for Jackson to say that now, with the 20/20 hindsight of knowing that Wentz http://www.brownsauthorizedshops.com/authentic-terrance-mitchell-jersey , Watson and Mahomes have all developed into franchise quarterbacks. But Jackson says he’s believed from the beginning that the Browns shouldn’t have waited until Year Three to find that franchise quarterback in Baker Mayfield.“You can’t pass on quarterbacks,” Jackson said. “You never pass on a potential franchise quarterback because you don’t know who’s going to be there in the future. I think Baker Mayfield is going to be a sensational player if they surround him with the right people, but they’ve got to give him help and run a scheme suited to his skill set.”If Mayfield ever does become a sensational player, it will be under some other head coach. The first week of the preseason has wrapped Cleveland Browns T-Shirt , and not only did the Cleveland Browns get a victory over the New York Giants, they also boasted some strong performances from individual players, particularly on offense. Pro Football Focus compiled their Team of the Week for both offense and defense based on their Week 1 preseason grades, and two Browns made the list on the offensive side of the ball.Tight end David Njoku, who caught two passes—both for touchdowns—on three targets and totaled 46 yards was named the week’s best tight end. Pro Football Focus gave him a 91.2 grade for the week. Left tackle Greg Robinson was the site’s top performer at his position, with an 81.8 grade. PFF’s Michael Renner wrote that, “[o]n 44 snaps against the Giants, Robinson yielded all of one hurry in an impressive outing.”Those snap counts matter when it comes to these rankings, it should be kept in mind. Renner noted that, “making this team isn’t quite as simple as earning the highest grade at your position in a given week,” and that “[w]eighting has been given towards playing time.” Thus, the New York Jets’ Sam Darnold was named the top quarterback of the week despite having a lower PFF grade than the Browns’ Tyrod Taylor. Darnold had 19 pass attempts to Taylor’s five Cleveland Browns Hats , pairing a strong performance with extended playing time. However, Taylor would have been PFF’s No. 2 quarterback of the week without playing time taken into account. Taylor graded higher than Darnold, with the Jets rookie posting an 80.8 grade to Taylor’s 86.7.Cleveland Browns Podcast - Next Up On The DBN Network: The Browns Beat Ep. 3 with Hoag and Higdon The Browns Wire’s Jeff Risdon joins hosts Michael Hoag and Justin Higdon for The Browns Beat Podcast: Episode 3.Well, that ending in Oakland was less than ideal, and much more like the “old” Browns than the team we have seen so far in 2018. Troy Niklas Jersey , Calif. (AP) — Chargers defensive coordinator Gus Bradley might be feeling the most pressure going into Sunday’s AFC divisional-round game at New England.Bradley’s game plan of using seven defensive backs to neutralize Baltimore quarterback Lamar Jackson resulted in a 23-17 win. His challenge this week is coming up with the right strategy to contain Patriots QB and five-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady.Bradley isn’t tipping his hand about using seven DBs for a second straight week, saying each opponent is different.“I learned through Larry Coyer when I was in Tampa about the importance of personnel placement,” Bradley said on Thursday. “We talk about personnel placement every week. I think for that game, that was more of a decision we made for that game and every week is different.”Brady said during a conference call Wednesday that the Chargers using seven defensive backs on all but one of the 59 snaps did surprise him and that it could present some difficult matchup problems if they used it again Sunday.“It’s unique. They play tough against the run, but also have the speed and quickness to play against the pass,” Brady said. “They get home quickly. The quarterback is always under pressure because they have a pass rush. The secondary knows you can’t hold on to the ball forever and they jump routes.”In last year’s Week 8 game — which the Patriots won 21-13 — the Chargers played dime (six defensive backs) on 53 of 82 plays. Brady threw for 333 yards and a touchdown, but the thing for him that stuck out about that game was that New England made four trips to the red zone and had just one TD and three field goals.“They’re good at every level. They use a lot of defensive backs at different times and that creates a lot of problems,” Brady said. “They challenge you in every way. Between coaching and scheme, it is a great defense.”The Chargers’ philosophy of getting as much pressure as possible will not change this week. They did a great job of that last week against Jackson, recording seven sacks despite rushing five or more only four times in 59 plays.According to Sportradar, the Chargers blitzed on only 17.7 percent of plays, which was third-fewest in the league. In last year’s game, they did rush five or more on 10 plays and sacked Brady three times.Defensive end Joey Bosa has 6 ½ sacks in seven games since returning from a foot injury, while Melvin Ingram had a pair of sacks and a fumble recovery.“Our defensive line has to put pressure on him. He’s not very mobile, but he does step up into the pocket and throw,” cornerback Desmond King said. “We have to bring pressure up the middle and play good defense in the back end.”Brady is averaging 2.61 seconds to throw according to the league’s Next Gen stats. He will be the third-quickest QB they have faced this season Limited Donald Trump Jersey , as Oakland’s Derek Carr and Pittsburgh’s Ben Roethlisberger averaged 2.55 seconds. The Chargers sacked Carr in two games and got to Roethlisberger once.Brady presents much of the same challenges as Roethlisberger in extending plays and reading coverages.“The way he handles the offense, he’s been in that style of offense for many years, so they’re on the same page,” Bradley said of Brady and the Patriots. “Their offense operates with precision, and they’re all on the same page. As you watch it, you can see it all come together for them.”Besides getting pressure on Brady, another focus will be on taking the running backs out of the passing game. Patriots running backs were targeted a league-high 157 times, while the Chargers allowed 7.0 yards per pass attempt to running backs, which was eighth-worst in the NFL.The best matchup might be Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski against Chargers safety Derwin James. Los Angeles goes into the game allowing only 6.3 yards per pass attempt against tight ends, which was second in the league.“We have to play sound football and correct mistakes. We have to take a look at the notepad between plays and see what windows of opportunity he had and close them up,” defensive tackle Damion Square said. “You can’t try to be overwhelming and get out of place or Tom will find out. Everyone has a job to do.” Coming off a hard-fought victory over the Kansas City Chiefs, the New England Patriots need a quick turnaround as another big challenge awaits: the NFC North-leading Chicago Bears, who not only bring a 3-2 record to the table but also own top-10 units on both sides of the football. Safe to say, that this will be an interesting road contest for the Patriots.Let’s analyze it by taking a look at some of the advanced stats heading into the game (courtesy of SB Nation’s Bill Connelly; for his methodology please click here).Patriots offense vs Bears defenseNormal down and distance in the open fieldThe Patriots offense continues to improve its open field statistics and despite a bad start to the year, now ranks among the top-10 in three of the categories. On Sunday, though Adam Butler Jersey , a big challenge awaits in a Bears defense that has found plenty of success between its own 10 and the opposing 30: New England and Chicago are matched up evenly from a statistic perspective. That being said, the Patriots’ numbers over the last three games look much improved when compared to their first three – so one could give the edge to Tom Brady and company.Backed Up Situations Near the Goal LineNew England’s success rate while being backed up inside its own 10-yard line continues to be rather average with an interception in week one still hurting the turnover rate. The Bears, on the other hand, have also not been world beaters when having their opponent pinned deep in its own territory.Red ZoneThe Patriots continue to be one of the NFL’s better red zone teams, even though their success inside the 10-yard line has taken a slight hit when compared to last week’s advanced stats. This week, New England’s offense will face a defense that ranks well in exactly that part of the field – so now would be the right time to show some improvements from the Patriots’ perspective. Maybe Rob Gronkowski, who has only received one target inside the opponent’s 20-yard line, will help.Third DownsWhile their third-and-medium success rate is below average, the Patriots have one of the best overall third down offenses in football. Being able to extend drives has been a key for the team as of late – just watch the last two drives against Kansas City – and it will now try to do the same versus a defense that has been quite productive in this area as well. Talk about a classic battle of strength versus strength.Blitz SituationsNew England’s offense and Chicago’s defense are both faring relatively well in blitz situations – obvious passing downs specified as first-and-18 or more, second-and-14 or more, and third-and-3 or more – with the noticeable outlier being big plays: the Patriots have failed to produce them when playing behind the sticks, while the Bears have failed to stop them in the same kind of situations.Patriots defense vs Bears offenseNormal down and distance in the open fieldNew England’s defensive inconsistency is reflected in the open field statistics. Luckily, it still matches up well against second-year quarterback Mitchell Trubisky and the Bears. The only stat clearly working in the home team’s favor is third down success rate: New England has struggled getting off the field on third downs between their own 30 and the opponent’s 10, while the Bears have had no issues converting in such situations.Backed Up Situations Near the Goal LineNew England’s defense and Chicago’s offense match up rather evenly when it comes to backed-up situations: both teams have had some success in this area of the field – inside the offense’s own 10-yard line – which could make for an interesting battle if situations like these come along.Red ZoneThe Patriots like to use a bend-don’t-break approach when it comes to defense, which is built on strong red zone performances. This year, however Authentic Elandon Roberts Jersey , the team has had its fair share of struggles in this part of the field – although it has shown some improvement last week against the Chiefs. Now, the unit will face another one of the NFL’s better red zone offenses and being up to the task once again will be one of the keys to the game.Third DownsWhile the red area statistics clearly favor Chicago, the two teams are matched up rather evenly when it comes to third down situations: both units have their ups and downs depending on the situation. One would clearly favor the Bears, though: third-and-short. New England has been atrocious in stopping opponents with less than one yard to go.Blitz SituationsEven though the Bears have an explosive set of offensive weapons in Taylor Gabriel, Allen Robinson II and Tarik Cohen, the team has struggled when playing from behind the sticks. Getting Chicago in such situations would be big for the Patriots therefore, despite them having their own problems as well. However, this matchup still favors New England from a statistical perspective. If the advanced statistics are an indication, the Patriots and Bears are in for what could be a close game of strength versus strength (New England’s offense versus Chicago’s defense), and weakness versus weakness (New England’s defense versus Chicago’s offense). For the visitors, the following questions will need to be answered to decide both battles in their favor:Can the Patriots improve in the red zone on both sides of the ball? Can the Patriots defense force Chicago to play from behind the sticks? Can the Patriots win on third down?If New England is able to accomplish most of those things, it could very well sway the outcome in its favor.

That didn't work either.Haslam made his fourth coaching change since 2012 by firing Hue Jackson Troy Niklas Jersey , who won just three of 40 games over two-plus seasons and then lost his job because of a feud with offensive coordinator Todd Haley that went public and threatened to turn a promising season into another one of those Cleveland catastrophes.Haslam fired Jackson and Haley within hours of each other on Monday, a day after the Browns (2-5-1) lost their 25th consecutive road game — one shy of the NFL record."Hopefully, we made a big step today," Haslam said. "It is hard to win in the NFL. If anybody knows that, it is us. I think the message today is we are not going to put up with internal discord. We want people who are collaborative and work together."As for his poor track record in finding coaches, Haslam offered no excuses."I will accept the blame because ultimately, it is the person at the head of the ship," he said. "I will take the blame as ownership. I can't explain it more than that. We have had different situations with different people. I know that it is something that we are not going to tolerate moving forward."Defensive coordinator Gregg Williams is Cleveland's interim coach, and running backs coach Freddie Kitchens will take over for Haley.Haslam said Williams, who coached Buffalo from 2001-03, was the only in-house candidate considered to finish the season. While Williams has extensive experience and won a Super Bowl, he also has a checkered past. He was suspended by the league for a full season in 2012 for his role in the "Bountygate" scandal that rocked the New Orleans Saints.Haslam said it's premature to consider the next coaching hire for the Browns, who are 22-81-1 since he and his wife, Dee, agreed to buy the franchise in 2012.The main objective now is to get through the season's second half, beginning with a matchup on Sunday against the high-scoring, Kansas City Chiefs (7-1)."We will have a collaborative effort in everything that we do here," Haslam said when asked about a search for the team's ninth coach since 1999. "Right now, we are focused on the next eight games and Gregg and his staff winning as many of those games that we can."There are already names floating around as potential candidates to be Cleveland's next coach, including Oklahoma's Lincoln Riley, who coached Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield in college."Not right now," Riley said of his interest in jumping to the NFL. "You sit here and answer these questions and I always want to be truthful. The truth is for me is, I love Oklahoma. I love coaching here. I love college football. I certainly don't have that itch right now."Just three weeks ago, the Browns, who went 0-16 last season under Jackson, appeared to have turned the corner following an overtime win against Baltimore. But things unraveled quickly, thrust in the wrong direction by a power struggle between Jackson and Haley, who joined Cleveland's staff this season after six in Pittsburgh. Following a loss at Tampa Bay last week, Jackson aimed blame at Haley by offering to help the team's offense.Haley publicly said he wasn't offended by the remarks. But Jackson's comments seemed to widen a divide between the coaches, who had disagreed on players getting days off during training camp and whether wide receiver Josh Gordon deserved to start the opener. In order to salvage the season, Haslam and general manager John Dorsey felt change was necessary.Without pointing fingers, Dorsey said there's only one way to stop the in-fighting."Treat people the way they want to be treated," he said. "Come into work every day willing to work. Love what you do. Just take ownership in what you are doing. Come to work every day and treat people the way you want to be treated."Jackson's the sixth straight Cleveland coach to be fired following the team's second game against Pittsburgh. Romeo Crennel, Eric Mangini, Pat Shurmur Limited Donald Trump Jersey , Rob Chudzinski and Mike Pettine all met the same demise, but they were let go following the season's final game.Haslam wouldn't get into any specifics about the "'discord" between Jackson and Haley."We made the decision to move on, and it was far bigger than who was going to call plays," Haslam said. "Unfortunately, sometimes, the best plans don't work out, and in this case, they didn't. We were optimistic and hopeful that they would."Jackson was hired in 2016 by the Haslams, who stuck by him despite a 1-15 record in his first season and then last season's debacle. His failures were always explained away with excuses: not enough talent, injuries, bad luck, a disconnection with the front office.Haslam thought hiring a high-profile coordinator like Haley would help Jackson. In the end, it was his undoing."Unfortunately, sometimes the best plans do not work out," Haslam said. "In this case, they did not. We were optimistic and hopeful that they would, but they did not work out." Adrian Clayborn Jersey Salute to Service , the Jacksonville Jaguars found a way to close out Tom Brady and the New England Patriots. The significance of it might not be known for some time. Not even the bold, brash Jaguars would acknowledge it was anything more than a Week 2 win. Others would disagree.Blake Bortles threw four touchdown passes, three in the first half, and the Jaguars beat Brady and the Patriots 31-20 Sunday in a rematch of last season's AFC championship game. The victory — Jacksonville's first in nine tries against Brady — could signal a new favorite in the AFC."Every week is about us," Jaguars All-Pro cornerback Jalen Ramsey said. "We feel like if we're at the top of our game, we can't be beat. They were our opponents, so that's what we prepared for."Bortles threw for 377 yards in the best game of his five-year career. He threw perfect TD passes to Donte Moncrief, Keelan Cole and Austin Seferian-Jenkins in the first half, the second time Bortles has accomplished that feat. Bortles sealed the victory with a 61-yard pass to Dede Westbrook in the fourth quarter.Westbrook took a short pass on a crossing route, made one defender miss and outran another down the sideline and into the end zone. Cole delivered the key block.Cole finished with seven receptions for 116 yards and a score. He made a spectacular, one-handed catch on Jacksonville's second drive and beat Eric Rowe for a 24-yard touchdown three plays later. Rowe was benched.Westbrook's catch-and-run put the Jaguars (2-0) ahead 31-13, allowing them to start celebrating their second victory in franchise history against New England (1-1) and first in the regular season. They hadn't beaten the Pats since January 1999."You have a bad day against a good team Kenny Britt Jersey Salute to Service , it's a recipe for losing," Brady said. "And we certainly had a bad day."Brady completed 24 of 35 passes for 235 yards and two touchdowns, both to Chris Hogan. He was sacked twice.Brady pleaded with teammates on the bench early. Offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels appeared to deliver stern words, too.Just when the Patriots started showing signs of life — they were down 11 and in field-goal range early in the fourth quarter — Dante Fowler stripped Brady. Fowler was making his season debut after being suspended for the season opener."We just obviously didn't do anything well enough or close to well enough to be able to take a win today," Pats coach Bill Belichick said. "It's disappointing to have the kind of day that we had today, but that's what it was, so we'll live with it, own it and move on."STAYING AGGRESSIVEUnlike the previous meeting, Jaguars coach Doug Marrone didn't sit on the lead late.Jacksonville kept throwing, even in the final minutes, and put it on the offense to close out the game.Marrone was widely criticized for getting conservative in the title game. The Patriots trailed 20-10 in the fourth quarter of that one before rallying to win 24-20 and advancing to the Super Bowl.RECORD HEATThe teams played in the hottest game in Jaguars history. Temperature at kickoff was 97 degrees, with a heat index of 107 degrees. According to the NFL Authentic Cordarrelle Patterson Jersey , it was the warmest game since Green Bay played at Arizona in 2003.NO FOURNETTEThe Jaguars improved to 4-0 in two seasons without running back Leonard Fournette. Fournette sat out while recovering from a sore right hamstring he tweaked in the season opener at the New York Giants.T.J. Yeldon started in his place and ran 10 times for 58 yards.GROUND GAINSPatriots rookie Sony Michel, a first-round draft pick from Georgia, carried 10 times for 34 yards in his NFL debut. Michel is expected to give New England some much-needed help in its running attack.KEY INJURIESPatriots: Defensive end Trey Flowers and safety Patrick Chung, two of the team's top defenders, were ruled out with concussions. Flowers was injured in the first quarter when he collided with teammate Keionta Davis. Chung was injured in the second half.Jaguars: Left tackle Cam Robinson left in the first quarter after injuring his left knee and was later ruled out. Receiver Donte Moncrief, who caught a touchdown pass on Jacksonville's opening drive, left with a knee injury in the third quarter. Defensive end Calais Campbell, questionable to play because of a sore right knee, left after getting poked in his right eye. He later returned.UP NEXTPatriots: Play at Detroit, where former New England defensive coordinator Matt Patricia is now the head coach.Jaguars: Host AFC South rival Tennessee in the second of three straight home games. The Steelers offense needed just over six minutes to get on the board on Sunday. The Patriots needed two minutes to answer. Tom Brady took advantage of a confused Steelers defense and hit Chris Hogan on a crossing route that Hogan turned upfield for a 63-yard touchdown. Stephen Gostkowski had to hit a longer extra point after a penalty on New England’s first try, but put it through for a 7-7 tie.The pass to Hogan was the third that Brady threw on the opening Patriots possession as he opened with short completions to Rex Burkhead and Cordarrelle Patterson. The Steelers had too many men on the field on third down and they still looked lost before the snap that led to Hogan’s touchdown. It’s back to the Steelers now and we’ll see if the defenses can come up with something better their next time out.

Youth B.J. Hill Jersey , 33-31, Sunday as the Panthers squeaked past the woebegone Giants with a last-second 63-yard field goal. The Giants broke the 30-point barrier (which, honestly, shouldn’t even BE a barrier for a team with the offensvie firepower the Giants boast) for the first time since 2015, but it wasn’t enough to overcome their own play. What can did we learn from the Giants’ tough loss in Carolina? The Giants’ special teams remain a problemAs Dan Pizzuta and I noted this week after the loss to the New Orleans Saints on the Big Blue reView podcast, it’s a sad state of affairs when the best thing you have to talk about on special teams is the improvement of your kicker. And kudos to Aldrick Rosas, because he HAS improved this season. Yes, he did kick one out of bounds on a slick field, but he nailed a career-long 53-yard field goal, has been perfect on the season, and solved any kick coverage problems by simply depositing the ball behind the opposing endzone. That’s about where the kudos will end. The Giants’ punt coverage remains an adventure, and they STILL can’t seem to find a reliable punt returner, even with Odell Beckham Jr.’s presence back there. The Giant added a bevy or special teams specialists in the offseason, and hired a new Special Teams Coordinator — though Tom Quinn remains as an assistant as Thomas McGauhey fights his own battle with cancer. We don’t talk much about special teams, but it is a vital part of the game. Even a great offense and defense can’t overcome the hidden yardage lost by bad special teams. It’s a problem the Giants need to fix, but they might not be able to do so this year. The Giants’ are undisciplinedSloppy tackling. Bad penalties.Poor routes.Mental mistakes and miscommunications on offense and defense. These things have been problems throughout the 2018 for the Giants, but they hadn’t come together quite like they did against the Carolina Panthers. Though the team came in to the game as the least-penalized team in the NFL, the Giants are still undisciplined. The NFL has an officiating problemThis isn’t just limited to today’s game against the Giants. The officiating has been horrific league-wide all season long. The most egregious today was the unnecessary roughness penalty against Landon Collins as three Giants collided while coming for wide receiver Devin Funchess. The problem? Collins was going for the interception and Funchess fell into the back of Collins’ helmet. The play would have ended the Panthers’ drive, but instead the penalty kept the drive alive, which ended in points. Later in the game there was a somewhat questionable call on Kerry Wynn to cancel out a holding call on the Panthers which would have had them starting with a 1st and 20 on their final drive. These calls on the heels of a pair of terrible calls on Clay Matthews in the second and third weeks of the season, and a bevy of others around the NFL.Considering the Panthers only won by two points on a career-long 63-yard field goal as timethe difference in the game. Blame could also be levied on Odell Beckham’s mistake on special teams or the defense’s bad tackling in the first half. This has become a big problem across the league. One the league will either need to address or heir product will continue to suffer. The Giants playmakers can make playsFor the first time this season, the Giants’ playmakers all showed up and made plays. In the same game.Beckham’s blunder on special teams might have been the difference in the game, but he made up for it by throwing a 57-yard touchdown to Saquon Barkley and making a terrific catch for a 33-yard touchdown touchdown of his own. Sterling Shepard was clutch with four catches for 75 yards to help keep Giants’ drives alive.Saquon Barkley finished the game with 129 total yards and a pair of touchdowns. The Giants’ lost in a fashion that could have been called “fluky” if they hadn’t put themselves in that position with three quarters of bad, sloppy play. But, their playmakers did enough that they could have won, and showed the league what There is no running gameDave Gettleman introduced us all to the phrase “Hog Mollies” this past offseason as he vowed to “fix” it and return the Giants’ to a hard-nosed run-first offense. In doing so he threw money at Nate Solder and Patrick Omameh, drafted Will Hernandez and Saquon Barkley, let Justin Pugh Youth Saquon Barkley Jersey , Weston Richburg, and D.J. Fluker walk in free agency and traded Brett Jones for a 7th round pick. In 2017 the Giants averaged 24.5 rushing attempts per game, for 3.9 yards per carry, and 2 sacks per game.In 2018 they are averaging 19.6 carries per game, 3.8 yards per carry, and 3.2 sacks per game. The offensive line is giving Eli Manning time to throw the ball, as he has had roughly league-average time to throw thus far this season, but the pass protection is unpredictable, and a jailbreak could occur on any play. And so far, the vast majority of the team’s 75 rushing yards per game have come from Barkley either making defenders miss with his agility, or running through arm tackles with his power. All while Barkley has been facing one of the lowest percentage of runs against eight-man boxes in the league. It could be argued that the Giants haven’t called enough running plays, but from Shurmur’s perspective, why bother? With some exceptions, Gettleman’s Hog Mollies have been playing like playing like piglets. The Giants actually showed some heartThe Giants could have folded up their tent and started back up for New York at the half. They played some pathetic football in the first two quarters. With the exception of Beckham and Barkley, they were uninspired on offense and the defense couldn’t tackle its way out of a wet paper bag. But they came out to play, really play, in the second half. Ultimately, it didn’t matter and they lost anyway. But this was the first loss in a long time that could actually be called a “heartbreaker”.Because the Giants FINALLY showed some damn heart. Beckham was getting ripped for his special teams blunder and having a touchdown ripped out of his hands — all after publicly criticizing his teammates for not matching his passion and energy. But in the second half, and especially the fourth quarter, the team finally seemed to find its way to feeding on Beckham.Eli Manning had his worst game of the season from an efficiency perspective, but he came out and attacked the defense. There were a couple bad interceptions and he was off target at times, but he didn’t spend the whole game checking down for easy completions. After his second interception he kept throwing the ball down the field and picked up more than 100 yards on 5 completions and a touchdown. He averaged 9.1 yards per attempt, up from around 6 yards per attempt against the New Orleans Saints, Dallas Cowboys, and Jacksonville Jaguars.Beckham played like the receiver we all know he is, with 8 receptions for 131 yards and a touchdown. The defense played with fire, stepping up their run defense and held Christian McCaffrey to a season-low 3.4 yards per carry. They still miss Olivier Vernon off the edge, but they did get after Newton some in the passing game. They weren’t able to do quite enough to allow the offense to overcome bad play and bad calls http://www.authenticsnewyorkgiants.com/cheap-rhett-ellison-jersey , but this defense, which has played hard all season, stayed in it when it looked like they were going to have to once again carry a putrid offense. Does it mean anything and will they be able to carry it over to their Thursday night game against the Philadelphia Eagles? We’ll find out, but this feels as much like a win as possible for a heartbreaking loss.Giants vs. Saints: Snaps and stats from the Giants’ home loss The New York Giants collected their third loss of the 2018 season on sunday against the New Orleans Saints. It seemed as though the Giants had turned a corner against the Houston Texans and were moving in the direction of competing with the rest of the NFL. Instead, the game had a sickeningly familiar feel to it, with the offense seeming like an ineffective exercise in futility. In many ways, this game reminded of the Giants’ week two loss to the Dallas Cowboys, particularly on offense. But how similar was it, really? Let’s take a closer look at the stats from the game and see what they have to say.OffenseQuarterbackAt first blush, Eli Manning had an efficient day against a poor Saints defense. He completed 31 of 41 attempts, good for a completion rate of 75.6 percent, for 255 yards and a touchdown. This marks the third time this season he has completed at least three quarters of his passes and thrown a touchdown pass. However, a closer look at the stats reveal that the Giants were playing “keep away” with their passing game, rather than actively trying to attack a defense which had given up just over 34 points per game and the most passing yards in the NFL through the first three weeks. Per Next Gen Stats, Manning was tied for the third fewest intended air yards among quarterbacks Sunday, with averaging just 6.1 yards through the air. His average completion was the shortest in the NFL, at just 3.6 yards per completion. Finally, Manning also threw the ball the second furthest from the first-down marker, averaging 2.9 yards behind the sticks. “Short,” “quick,” and “safe” are the words to describe the Giants’ passing game against the Saints, but like with a similar game plan against the Dallas Cowboys, “ineffective” comes to mind. An offense featuring Eli Manning, Odell Beckham Jr., and Saquon Barkley simply is not built to play it safe and chip away at a defense. Offensive lineAll told, the Giants played 62 snaps on offense, and the entire offensive line of Nate Solder, Will Hernandez http://www.authenticsnewyorkgiants.com/cheap-connor-barwin-jersey , John Greco, Patrick Omameh, and Chad Wheeler played all of them. It might be assumed based on Manning’s passing stats that they failed in protecting him. While saying that they ‘failed’ to protect him is a bit strong, Manning was sacked three times and each of the Saints’ top rushers came closer than league average to Manning on their average rush. However, he did have time to throw, averaging 2.66 seconds from snap to throw, which was only about two hundredths of a second less than league average. Skill positions The Giants didn’t run the ball much as the game slipped away. But even so, Barkley (54 snaps, 87 percent) only had two carries further than five yards. Given what we have seen of Barkley’s ability to pick up extra yards with a quick cut or powering through an arm tackle, the line did not block for many of the rookie’s yards. Considering he only saw an eight (or more) man box on just 20 percent of his runs — per Next Gen Stats — that does not reflect well on the line. Barkley did rate as the NFL’s fourth-fastest ball carrier, topping 20 miles an hour on his breakaway run.He was once again successful as a receiver, catching six of eight targets for 56 yards.Odell Beckham played 59 of 62 snaps, catching 7 of 11 targets for 60 yards. As indicated by Manning’s average of 3.6 yards per completion, Beckham caught most of his passes short, and did what he could against a defense which was allowed to play downhill all game. Sterling Shepard, who also played 59 of 62 snaps was the Giants’ leading receiver, catching each of his 10 targets for 77 yards and a touchdown. The Giants spent almost all of the game in their 11-personnel set, with TE Rhett Ellison playing 54 of 62 snaps, and WR Russell Shepard playing 51 of 62 snaps. The Giants receivers were getting open, per Next Gen Stats, with four of the Giants’ top five receivers getting much more than league-average separation. Manning just wasn’t finding them down the field. After that primary personnel set, TE Scott Simonson got the most snaps at 14 of 62. The Giants clearly came in with the plan to spread the Saints out. DefenseFront SevenOnce again, true defensive linemen Damon Harrison and Dalvin Tomlinson lead the way in the snap count, getting 37 of the defense’s 70 snaps. Per Next Gen Stats, Tomlinson was the Giants’ best pass rusher, and the only one to come closer than league-average on his average rush.Rookie defensive tackle B.J. Hill saw an uptick in his snap count, from 14 to 24 snaps, after an effective day against the Houston Texans.EDGE players Kareem Martin and Connor Barwin played the most snaps http://www.authenticsnewyorkgiants.com/cheap-ray-ray-armstrong-jersey , between outside linebacker and defensive end. Martin played 56 of 70 snaps, while Barwin played 45 snaps, coming up with three tackles and a pass defensed. Both players were among the Giants’ top pass rushers, but both were only about league average in terms of their average distance to the quarterback.Linebackers Alec Ogletree and Ray-Ray Armstrong played the most snaps among the front seven, with Ogletree playing all of the defense’s 70 snaps, notching 12 total tackles. Meanwhile Armstrong played 57 snaps, and came up with 7 tackles. SecondaryEach member of the Giants’ starting secondary played all of the defensive snaps, with Janoris Jenkins, B.W. Webb, Landon Collins, and Curtis Riley each playing 70 snaps. The Giants’ secondary played well overall, limiting Drew Brees to just 18 of 32 for 215 yards and no touchdowns. That is impressive work for the defense, considering Brees had been on a historic run to start the game, completing well over 80 percent of his passes and dissecting every defense he saw.Nickel corner Donte Deayon was the final member of the secondary to see a major share of the snaps, with 53 of 70.The Giants were largely suffocating in coverage, with four of the Saints top five receivers averaging about half a yard less separation than league average. Particularly impressive was the work of Jenkins on wide receiver Micheal Thomas. Thomas had been having an excellent season to date, and Jenkins held him to just four catches for 47 yards. He only allowed Thomas, who is quickly becoming one of the NFL’s best receivers, an average just 2.38 yards of separation — four tenths of a yard less than the average NFL receiver.Final thoughtsThe stats suggest that the Giants should have won against the Saints. Instead they lost in an ugly landslide. The Saints were showing looks which should have allowed the Giants to run the ball — yet they didn’t. The Giants’ receivers were getting wide open, yet the passing game made no effort to look down the field. The defense played far better than the lopsided 15-point loss would have suggested, and if a team holds a quarterback the caliber of Drew Brees to the day he had, they should expect to win. The problem was with the Giants’ offense and an ineffective game plan. The question going forward is whether the Giants coaching staff will open up the offense as they did against Houston, or continue to play the ineffective horizontal scheme which lost against Dallas and now New New Orleans.

I think that was smart and big by him to get in that situation and kind of own up to what was going on, and just kind of set the record straight so we can just avoid the distractions, avoid this and that, and just worry about playing football.”What about the idea that Beckham didn’t support the quarterback during the interview?“I’ve never had a receiver that doesn’t want that ball more, and doesn’t want the ball thrown to him down the field and scoring touchdowns. That’s just the world we’re living in and how you deal with it.”Manning said that he and Beckham are “always close Womens Landon Collins Jersey , we’re tight, and we’re on good terms.” He added that in his mind the firestorm caused by the remarks is over.“Yeah, I think that was good just for the whole team to hear it. When you have new guys and young guys that don’t know him or not familiar with him, I think it was good just so other guys aren’t talking about it or worried about it, or trying to change how they pregame, we have to get more energy, this or that,” he said. “I think you kind of just end it and just move on and let’s worry about winning a football game.”

The San Francisco 49ers don’t face the Los Angeles Chargers until Week 4 Womens Arik Armstead Jersey , but they might not have to face defensive end Joey Bosa when that game arrives. Bosa did not play Sunday against the Buffalo Bills due to a bruised bone in his left foot, and it is expected to keep him out into October, according to ESPN reporter Adam Schefter.Bosa injured his foot early in training camp, but was expected back in the opening weeks of the season. Instead, it is dragging on and costing the Chargers leading pass rusher. They still have Melvin Ingram to bring the heat, but Bosa’s absence is a big deal. The Chargers struggled to bring consistent pressure in Week 1 against the Kansas City Chiefs. They managed six pressures on Patrick Mahomes Youth Mike Person Jersey , but only generated one sack — and it was on a blitz by safety Derwin James. On Sunday against a bad Buffalo Bills team, the Chargers ratcheted up the pressure. They sacked Josh Allen five times, with Ingram leading the way with 1.5 sacks. Derwin James had another sack, so those safety blitzes will be something to watch in Week 4.The 49ers have plenty to figure out between now and Week 4, but this will be something to keep an eye on heading into Week 4. Jimmy Garoppolo was sacked six times on Sunday against the Lions, although those seemed like coverage sacks more often than not. The 49ers offensive line is still working to gel together http://www.the49ersfootballauthentic.com/laken-tomlinson-jersey-authentic , but they’ll face a challenge in LA even if Bosa does not play.Kyle Shanahan hopes Jimmy Garoppolo can be throwing by OTAs San Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo had surgery on Wednesday for his torn ACL, and it has been nothing but optimism since the procedure. General manager John Lynch said on Thursday evening that the surgeon told him the surgery went great and there were no complications. On Friday afternoon, head coach Kyle Shanahan offered the same report, saying he was told it went “as good as it could’ve for an ACL.” Shanahan was asked if there was a rehab timeline yet. He would not commit to exact details, but did say he hoped Garoppolo could do non-contact work in OTAs throwing the ball.Shanahan said he was basing that off a normal timeline when the surgeon says they feel “very good about the surgery.” It’s just speculation for now, but whether Garoppolo is throwing or not when OTAs arrive Youth Adrian Colbert Jersey , I can guarantee you there will be articles discussing the topic — including here! But for the time being, the important news is that surgery went well and things are looking good moving forward. In my mind, the start of training camp is the more important date in the rehab process. The Philadelphia Eagles did not place Carson Wentz on the PUP list at the start of camp this year, and given that his injury was in December and involved an LCL along with the ACL, whether or not the 49ers use the PUP list will let us know if there has been any setback. And so, in the meantime Womens Mike McGlinchey Jersey , we wait.

game-altering interception for Jimmy Garoppolo.Only this time http://www.the49ersfootballauthentic.com/george-kittle-jersey-authentic , the San Francisco 49ers got bailed out by a flag and held on to beat the Detroit Lions.Garoppolo threw two touchdown passes and caught a break when a defensive holding call negated a late interception as the 49ers held on to beat the Lions 30-27 on Sunday."Very happy," Garoppolo said of his emotions after realizing a penalty wiped out his mistake. "I didn't see what happened on that with the flag and everything but very happy."The big play came after Detroit (0-2) had cut San Francisco's 30-13 lead to three points thanks to two fourth-quarter touchdown passes by Matthew Stafford. Then with the 49ers (1-1) facing a third-and-2 near midfield, Garoppolo threw a quick out to Matt Breida. Tracy Walker stepped in front and intercepted the pass, returning it to the San Francisco 7.But Quandre Diggs was called for holding George Kittle on the other side of the field, giving the 49ers a reprieve."I didn't see it, but it doesn't matter," Detroit coach Matt Patricia said. "That's the way the game is being called all the way across the board. We just can't do it, make plays and then the penalties."Last week a wrong pattern run by Kendrick Bourne led to a pick-six by Garoppolo, who threw three interceptions in a 24-16 loss at Minnesota that gave him his first loss after winning his first seven career starts.Garoppolo threw a 4-yard TD pass to Bourne in the second quarter Sunday and an 11-yarder to Garrett Celek in the third to hand Patricia, his old friend from their New England days, a second straight loss to begin his tenure as coach of the Lions. Garoppolo finished 18 for 26 for 206 yards, but was sacked six times.Breida did much of the rest by rushing for 138 yards and breaking the game open with a 66-yard touchdown run in the third quarter with help from impressive downfield blocking by receiver Pierre Garcon. It was the longest run for San Francisco since Colin Kaepernick scored on a 90-yard run against the Chargers on Dec. 20, 2014."It's like backyard football Womens Arik Armstead Jersey ," Breida said. "You see someone break a long run, see someone out there running, you have to block someone. That's what he did."Stafford was much sharper than he was last week for the Lions when he threw four interceptions. He went 34 for 53 for 347 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions but it wasn't enough. He threw TD passes in the fourth quarter to Marvin Jones Jr. and Michael Roberts but was unable to lead another scoring drive after taking over at the 16 with 1:08 to play. He threw an incomplete pass to Theo Riddick on fourth-and-2 from his 39 with 14 seconds left, ending the comeback attempt."We just have to make a few more plays, whether it be earlier in the game or later," Stafford said. "There's a million plays throughout the game we can clean up and be better, and it starts with me."EJECTIONDetroit running back LeGarrette Blount was ejected in the third quarter. Blount took exception to Elijah Lee pushing Stafford as he stepped out of bounds. Blount was standing on the sideline right in front of the play and went on the field and pushed Lee. Blount was assessed a personal foul and ejected.THIRD-QUARTER WOESThe Lions once again struggled coming out of halftime. Detroit was outscored 31-7 in the third quarter in a loss to the Jets last week and then 14-3 by the 49ers in this game.RECORD-SETTINGThe 49ers had three drives stall after getting inside the red zone in part because Detroit sacked Garoppolo three times on plays that started inside the 20. That led to three field goals for Robbie Gould, giving him 29 straight makes, two more than Phil Dawson's franchise record set in 2013.GOOD RETURNSRookie D.J. Reed started the second half with a long kickoff return that initially appeared to go for a touchdown. But he was called for a facemask penalty while giving a stiff arm and was only credited with a 90-yard return, the longest for the Niners since Kyle Williams had a 94-yarder in 2012. San Francisco still managed to get a TD with a 26-yard drive capped by Garoppolo's pass to Celek.INJURIESLions CB Darius Slay left with a concussion in the third quarter. ... 49ers S Jaquiski Tartt left in the second half with a shoulder injury.ANTHEMInjured 49ers WR Marquise Goodwin raised his fist during the national anthem. No other player had a visible protest.UP NEXTLions: Host New England on Sunday night.49ers: Visit Kansas City on Sunday.Packers WRs Randall Cobb, Geronimo Allison ‘likely’ to be inactive vs. 49ers The San Francisco 49ers’ defense might catch a break in Week 6. Green Bay Packers wide receivers Randall Cobb and Geronimo Allison are “likely to be inactive” for Monday Night Football, according to ESPN’s Lisa Salters. Cobb and Allison were both limited throughout the practice week due to hamstring injuries. If inactive Youth Mike Person Jersey , this will be Cobb’s third straight absence. Allison suffered his hamstring injury last week and sat out Week 5.Davante Adams will be starting for Aaron Rodgers, and the rest of the wide receiver corps will include rookies Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Equanimeous St. Brown, and J’Mon Moore. The Packers could also decide to elevate DeAngelo Yancey or Keon Hatcher from the practice squad. Last week, St. Brown had three receptions for 89 yards and Valdes-Scantling had seven receptions for 68 yards and a touchdown.Tight end Jimmy Graham will be a player to watch as well. After a relatively slow start through the first four weeks, he had double digit targets in Week 5, finishing with six receptions for 76 yards. It was his first game with double digit targets this season. This is a boost for the 49ers beleaguered secondary, but it will still be interesting to see how the Packers maneuver Davante Adams around the field. Richard Sherman will stick to one side of the field, and given the struggles of Ahkello Witherspoon and others opposite Sherman, I have to think Adams gets a healthy number of snaps on that side of the field.

The San Francisco 49ers improved to 1-1 on the season with a Week 2 victory over the Detroit Lions. They sit one game back of the Los Angeles Rams Nick Mullens Jersey , XXX with the Seattle Seahawks, and one game up on the Arizona Cardinals. We’re back with Week 3 NFL power rankings, but I wanted to use them for a different type oflook this week. You can see my full power rankings at the bottom of the page, but first, I thought two games in is as good a time as any to assess the rest of the 49ers opponents. There are still plenty of questions to be answered, but two games gives us a good starting point for re-assessing the team’s strength of schedule.Week 3: @ Kansas City Chiefs — Football Outsiders ranks the Chiefs No. 1 in offense and special teams and No. 32 in defense. Patrick Mahomes has been a revelation, and this could be quite the shootout on Sunday.Week 4: @ Los Angeles Chargers — A loss to the Chiefs and a win over the Bills don’t tell us much. The offense is clearly solid, but the defense remains a problem.Week 5/8: Arizona Cardinals — They are not good. Washington came in and thumped them, and then the Rams crushed them in LA. Arizona won’t go winless, but they’re down there with the Bills among the worst teams in the league.Week 6: @ Green Bay Packers — Aaron Rodgers is dealing with knee issues, but he played on Sunday, and almost got the win against a tough Vikings defense. Barring an injury, the Packers are good, as most of us expected.Week 7/16: Los Angeles Rams — They lead the league in point differential Nick Mullens 49ers Jersey , but they also have played two bad teams in Oakland and Arizona. They’re going to be very good this season, but where they are among the Super Bowl competitors remains to be seen.Week 9: vs. Oakland Raiders — The Raiders hung close with the Rams early in Week 1, but fell apart late. They then followed that up with a loss in which they blew two separate 12-point leads. The biggest problem for them seems to be the lack of a pass rush — surprise, surprise after unloading Khalil Mack. They are struggling big time in second half adjustments.Week 10: vs. New York Giants — They have lost their first two games by a combined 12 points, but their offense is going to cost them any chance at being remotely competitive for a playoff berth. Eli Manning is trying to play the quarterback position with a fork sticking out, and I don’t see this getting better anytime soon.Week 12: @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers — Ryan Fitzmagic is on fire! He has eight touchdowns through the first two weeks, and the Bucs have a road win over the New Orleans Saints and a home win over the defending champion Philadelphia Eagles. There is no way this holds up, but it’s impressive for the time being. Now we wait and see what happens when Jameis Winston returns from his suspension.Week 13/15: Seattle Seahawks — The Seahawks are sitting at 0-2, and nothing seems to be going well for them. They hung close with the Bears, but that seemed more to do with the Bears nearly blowing the game than Seattle really doing much to win it. Seattle is in trouble.Week 14: vs. Denver Broncos — They’re on the short list of 2-0 teams, but it’s too early to be clear on where they stand. They won at home against Seattle and Oakland, but neither win is looking all that great at this point. Their divisional games against the Chiefs and Chargers will tell us more.Week 16: vs. Chicago Bears — The Bears defense is something fierce. On the other side of things, the Bears offense is shaky at best. Mitchell Trubisky can make some great plays, but he regularly makes bad throws that cost the team. The Bears beat the Seahawks on Monday Night Football 24-17 Quarterback Nick Mullens Jersey , but should have won by at least two or three scores. Here are my latest power rankings. Last week, I simply went with a ranking of teams based on point differential, thus some of the funky last week rankings. This week I went with a more subjective look at things.Week 3 NFL power rankingsRankTeamLWRankTeamLWTop highlights (and lowlights) from the 49ers’ brutal loss in Kansas City The San Francisco 49ers lost on Sunday to the Kansas City Chiefs, 38-27, but that’s currently the least of their problems. Unless you’re living under a rock, you’ve probably heard by now that quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo left the game with a left knee injury and the 49ers are fearing a torn ACL, which would sideline the franchise star till 2019.Aside from Garoppolo, the 49ers also lost starting defenders Richard Sherman (leg) and Adrian Colbert (hip) to ailments. After getting down 35-10 to the Chiefs at halftime, the 49ers climbed back into the game, making it 38-24, with a chance to cut it to a one-possession game, before Garoppolo got injured and exited the game. It was a tale of two halves for San Francisco, missing tackles, committing numerous penalties Nick Mullens Jersey , dropping passes in the first half and executing at a high level in the second half. Here are some of the top plays (and some rough ones), from Sunday’s contest in Kansas City.It might have been two weeks since linebacker Reuben Foster played for the 49ers in a real game, but he didn’t wait long to make an impact. On the Chiefs’ first drive of the game, Foster is able to stick with KC wideout Chris Conley, breaking up the pass in coverage. The 49ers’ offense wasn’t able to get anything going early in the game, except for this Matt Breida run. The NFL’s leading rusher added 90 yards to his rushing total on Sunday. A large chunk of those came on this cut-back play, where Breida improvises for a huge gain. After falling behind 14-0 early, San Francisco’s offense was finally able to put together a string of plays to help them find their first touchdown of the afternoon. Head coach Kyle Shanahan draws up a beauty on the play-action fake to running back Alfred Morris, allowing Garoppolo to find fullback Kyle Juszczyk for a wide-open touchdown. 14-7, Chiefs. The defense didn’t have very many highlights in the first half, allowing touchdowns on each one of the Chiefs’ five drives. Foster comes up with one of the few bright spots, running across the formation to bring down the Chiefs’ running back for no gain. Even though he missed the first few games, it was refreshing to see Foster back on the field for San Francisco.Come for the Marquise Goodwin touchdown and stay for the Kendrick Bourne dance, as the 49ers start to claw back into the game. Garoppolo is able to find another wide open 49ers’ receiver for another easy score.Shanahan continued to show off his creativity late in the second half Quarterback Nick Mullens Jersey , as he runs an option play with Juszczyk, allowing him to either run or pitch the ball. The 49ers’ fullback tosses it off to Breida, who’s able to gain a significant amount on the play. An Andy Reid-like gimmickagainst Reid’s defense — creative. Now for some of the not-so-pretty highlights from Sunday’s game. Tackle Joe Staley has always been reliable, but the Chiefs’ pass rush was able to get the best of him on Sunday. In this one instance, Staley gets blown by easily, giving up the sack on Garoppolo. The 49ers were penalized 14 times for 147 yards on Sunday — A HUNDRED AND FORTY SEVEN YARDS — in case you missed that. A huge portion of that came on this poor call against corner K’Waun Williams. While it looked like his feet got tangled up with the Chiefs’ receiver, the referees didn’t see it like that, calling for a 31-yard pass interference penalty on Williams. This was nightmares of Russell Wilson and Aaron Rodgers combined into one play. Chiefs’ quarterback Patrick Mahomes is able to escape the 49ers’ pass rush, run around and find Conley for an easy touchdown. San Francisco heads to Los Angeles to take on the Chargers next, but will likely be without a lot of big names on their roster. Before the injury news sink in, enjoy some of the highlights from Sunday’s loss.

Broncos!””We talked a lot to our guys about the emotion and the purity of the game,” Flames coach Glen Gulutzan said. ”Just think about the young men on that bus, who would love to be in the seats that we are. That was their goal and we wanted to play as well as we can to honor that.”Spencer Foo, Garnet Hathaway and Johnny Gaudreau also scored for the Flames (37-35-10), who missed the playoffs for the seventh time in the past nine seasons. I’m really proud of the way this team has done throughout the season. Playoffs are fun, intense, exciting. But the Flames responded with three more unanswered goals before the period ended.Jankowski secured his first NHL hat trick with a short-handed goal at 18:06, bringing over 100 hats raining down onto the ice.He completed the scoring at 1:32 of the third. It was Calgary’s first power-play goal in 14 games, snapping a 0-for-35 skid.Jon Gillies had 26 stops for Calgary. The deal has an average annual value of $5.3 million. He was set to become a free agent this summer but didn’t hesitate on an extension once he was approached by general manager Jim Rutherford Carter Rowney Jersey Womens , who rarely makes such a move in the middle of the year.”This is the city I want to be in and I’m really happy to stay here five more years,” Hornqvist said. ”We always have a chance to win and we have a great core group in here, so that was obviously the key situation for me, too.”Hornqvist has been a vital part of Pittsburgh’s title runs. He scored the series-clinching goal in Game 6 of the 2017 Stanley Cup finals against Nashville.”He’s been such a big part of this team and what it’s been able to accomplish the last couple seasons,” coach Mike Sullivan said. ”He brings so much energy and he’s a positive guy.
