TORONTO (AP) The Toronto Maple Leafs know they’ve just completed the best statistical season in franchise history. And Frederik Andersen knows he now holds the team’s all-time record for goalie wins in a season. What remains a mystery for the Leafs is their first-round playoff opponent.Andersen made 31 saves to pick up his 38th victory of the season Saturday and Toronto closed out its schedule by defeating the Montreal Canadiens 4-2.The Leafs finished with a club-record 105 points – bettering the 103 earned in the pre-lockout 2003-04 season before the shootout was introduced to break ties – but will have to wait until the Boston Bruins play the Florida Panthers on Sunday to see where they open their next playoff chapter.A win for the Bruins over the Panthers http://www.officialstarsproonline.com/authentic-adidas-jason-spezza-jersey , who have been eliminated from postseason contention, would see Boston move into first in the Atlantic Division and set up a meeting between Tampa Bay and Toronto.A victory in regulation for the Panthers, meanwhile, would see the Leafs and Bruins square off.Asked if he would be watching Sunday’s finale, a makeup game after Boston and Florida were snowed out in January, Andersen indicated he has other plans.”No,” he said. ”I’m going to watch the Masters.”Auston Matthews scored his 34th goal of the season to match his jersey number and added an assist for Toronto (49-26-7), which also set club records for overall victories and home wins (29).Zach Hyman, Nazem Kadri and Patrick Marleau had the other goals for the Leafs, who are going to the playoffs for the second consecutive spring. Jake Gardiner added two assists.Andersen’s 37 victories coming in saw him sit tied with Ed Belfour (2002-03) and Andrew Raycroft (2006-07) for the most by a Toronto goalie in a season. Now he sits alone in first.”It’s fun when you set goals at the beginning of the year and then you achieve some of them,” Andersen said. ”It goes without saying that there are bigger goals.”Leafs coach Mike Babcock was pleased to see his team come through for its goalie in a game that didn’t mean anything in the standings.”He’s been a huge part of our team,” Babcock said. ”That record is a special, special thing.”Daniel Carr and Jeff Petry scored for Montreal (29-40-13). Carey Price stopped 26 shots for the visitors as the Canadiens wrapped up a disappointing season. The players observed a moment of silence before the game to honor the victims of Friday’s horrific crash in Saskatchewan that saw a tractor-trailer collide with a bus carrying a junior hockey team, killing 15 people and injuring 14 others. The Leafs and Canadiens also sported Broncos decals on their helmets.Tied 1-1 through 40 minutes, Hyman chipped a rebound past Price just 37 seconds into the third for his 15th goal and 40th point of the season after Matthews took the initial shot.Andersen made a good stop on Brendan Gallagher’s one-timer with four minutes to go, before the Leafs went to the power play with 3:45 left when Michael McCarron hacked Matthews to the ice with the center bearing down on what could have been his 35th goal. But Kadri wouldn’t be denied with 2:50 left when he backhanded his 32nd over Price before Petry then scored his 12th with 40.2 seconds left in regulation.Marleau put things to bed with his 27th on a Price mistake with 9.8 seconds still on the clock as the Canadiens limped to the finish line after topping the Atlantic with 103 points last season.”We’re still playing the game we love,” Gallagher said. ”But the games haven’t been meaningful.”Just never want to feel this (way) or go through this ever again.”Down 1-0 after Matthews extended his point streak to 10 games – he now has seven goals and seven assists over that span – late in the first John Klingberg Jersey , the Canadiens came close when Andersen denied Gallagher twice on a power play in the second.”He’s been unbelievable for us, probably our best player all year,” Matthews said the Leafs goalie. ”He’s kept us in games, won us games all throughout the year and been a brick wall.”Montreal got even with 3:56 left in the second when Carr scored his sixth on a rebound.Matthews struck on the power play with 1:55 left in the first when William Nylander wheeled down from the point, froze Price and delivered a sweet cross-ice feed for a wide-open net to get the ball rolling on a milestone night. Now all the Leafs can do is sit and wait to find out where they’ll open the playoffs next week as the Atlantic’s No. 3 seed – either Boston or Tampa.”We don’t know who we’re playing,” Babcock said. ”Both teams are very good hockey clubs.”We’re in for a great test and it should be a lot of fun.”UP NEXT:Canadiens: Season over.Maple Leafs: first round of the playoffs.— COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) Three straight overtime finishes to start the postseason? No problem. That’s what the Columbus Blue Jackets and Washington Capitals were saying after Tuesday night’s double- OT game, one that finally ended when the puck pinballed around the front of the net, hitting Columbus defenseman Zach Werenski and the Capitals’ Lars Eller before squirting past goalie Sergei Bobrovsky.”Real ugly” was how Eller put it afterward. But it was a win, one that Washington badly needed after losing two straight overtime games at home. The Capitals needed 89 minutes to win Game 3, the longest game in Blue Jackets history and one played in front of the largest hockey crowd ever at Nationwide Arena.Of the first 26 games of the NHL playoffs, there have been four overtime games in all, with three of them in this series (Vegas and Los Angeles also had a double OT game during the Golden Knights‘ sweep). It is the sixth time in playoff history that the first three games of a series went to OT.Care to make it four? The two teams go at it again on Thursday night (7:30 p.m. EDT, USA) with Columbus looking to take a 3-1 lead. Despite the extra hockey and nail-biting drama, nobody is feeling the burn. At least not that they’re saying.”I didn’t see any guys dying out there,” Columbus captain Nick Foligno said. ”I think we’re in really good condition for this time of year. I don’t think any guys worried about that.”Washington coach Barry Trotz said his team is accustomed to managing overtime games and then coming back. It all builds character, he said.”The playoffs are a test of will Mattias Janmark Jersey , even if it’s not overtime,” he said. ”What I think overtime makes you do is concentrate when you’re tired. You have to be in that moment. You can’t cut that corners, you can’t do that fly-by when you’re really tired, you can’t cheat because those are the times the puck ends up in the back of your net.”Columbus coach John Tortorella said he thinks his guys are fine.”I’ll tell you right now, if we’re fatigued three games in, holy crap,” he said. ”We’re just starting. It was a long game last night and we’ve had some overtime games, but that’s all part of it. You just can’t be tired. I don’t even think you can start talking about fatigue until you’re in a couple of rounds from now.”POWER LINEAfter recording 20 points in the first two games against the Maple Leafs, the Boston line of David Pastrnak, Brad Marchand and Patrice Bergeron was held scoreless in Game 3. The Bruins are counting on their production to return for Game 4 in Toronto on Thursday night.”I thought our top line was fine for the most part, they just didn’t finish,” coach Bruce Cassidy said after the 4-2 loss that cut Boston’s lead in the series to 2-1. ”They (the Maple Leafs) were determined to keep them off the score sheet, and they did.”While the Leafs had bad luck in the first two games – though that wasn’t their only problem, as the combined 12-4 score could attest – in Game 3 it was Pastrnak who hit the post on one shot and then Toronto’s Frederik Andersen made great saves on two others, first with his glove and then with his stick. After two games, four Bruins led the NHL in postseason scoring – Pastrnak (4 goals, 5 assists) Radek Faksa Jersey , Marchand (1, 5), Bergeron (0, 5), plus defenseman Torey Krug (0, 5). Pastrnak’s nine points still led the league heading into Wednesday night’s games.ABOUT THAT CALLCassidy took issue with a penalty call he says NHL officials made on a hunch in a 4-2 loss to Toronto in Game 3.Bruins forward Riley Nash was handed a delay of game penalty for clearing the puck over the glass on Monday. But the puck touched the glass before entering the crowd, which would negate the minor penalty, and officials missed it. Nash was sent to the box at 16:58 of the first period.Seven seconds later, James van Riemsdyk scored to put Toronto ahead 1-0. It was the first time in the series the Leafs scored first.Cassidy, whose team leads the series 2-1, spoke to the officials at the beginning of the second period and wanted to know who of the four (two referees, two linesmen) decided to give Nash the two-minute penalty.”My question was: who made the call? There’s no call immediately,” he said. ”When a referee makes a call you kind of live with it because it’s decisive. So now they get together and I assume they want to make the right call, that’s the idea, but to me they got together and clearly they guessed because it hit the glass and we saw that. I think you’re kind of innocent until proven guilty.”Game 4 is Thursday at Air Canada Centre (7 p.m. EDT, NBCSN).—AP Sports Writer Jimmy Golen in Boston contributed to this report.—

SAN JOSE Authentic Oliver Bjorkstrand Jersey , Calif. (AP) The San Jose Sharks ended their longest homestand of the season on a high note and now look to carry that forward on the road as they seek to solidify a playoff berth.Eric Fehr scored his first goal with San Jose and the Sharks closed a six-game homestand by handing the Detroit Red Wings their seventh straight loss, 5-3 on Monday night.”We understood that if we win this game it would be a pretty successful homestand,” said captain Joe Pavelski, who had two assists. ”That’s what we did. Now we can leave with a little momentum and take this game on the road.”Joonas Donskoi, Kevin Labanc and Timo Meier also scored to help the Sharks win for the fourth time on the homestand and remain in second place in the Pacific Division with a two-point lead over Los Angeles. Chris Tierney added an empty-net goal to seal it.Martin Jones made 23 saves for the Sharks, who start a three-game Canadian road trip on Wednesday in Edmonton.”This was an important win for us,” coach Peter DeBoer said. ”Obviously we got a tough schedule coming up. We go on the road and some tough buildings. It was important we got the win tonight. We did enough to get the win. It wasn’t a textbook game, but we did a lot of good stuff.”Henrik Zetterberg, Trevor Daley and Gustav Nyquist scored for the Red Wings Ryan Murray Jersey , who matched their longest losing streak of the season. Jimmy Howard stopped 29 shots.”We have to limit our mistakes,” Howard said. ”If we’re going to be successful out there we can’t make the mistakes that we do because they kill us.”Fehr gave the Sharks the lead for good during a long delayed penalty in the first period. With San Jose having the extra attacker, Fehr got in front of the net, where he deflected Brenden Dillon’s point shot past Howard for his first goal in eight games with the Sharks since being acquired from Toronto last month. The Sharks made it 3-1 early in the second when Labanc poked in a rebound after Howard stopped Tierney on a breakaway. The Red Wings made it a one-goal game later in the second when Tyler Bertuzzi deflected a shot off the post and Nyquist knocked it in off the goal line.Detroit appeared to get the equalizer on the power play later in the second but Anthony Mantha’s goal was immediately waved off because he redirected it into the net with his skate. The teams then traded goals early in the third, with Meier scoring on the power play when he deflected a shot from Mikkel Boedker and Zetterberg answering for Detroit off a nice pass from Nyquist. That goal moved Zetterberg into sole possession of fifth place for the Red Wings with his 336th, breaking a tie with Ted Lindsay.”Ted means a lot to me, so passing him and doing it in this building too where I played my first NHL game is really special,” Zetterberg said. The Sharks looked flat at the start in a game that meant much more to them than the Red Wings, who are 15 points out of playoff position. But Detroit took seven of the first eight shots on goal and led 1-0 after Daley took a pass from Zetterberg in the slot and beat Jones. The momentum shifted after San Jose killed a penalty and the Sharks took the lead with a pair in a span of less than two minutes. The first came off the rush http://www.bluejacketsshoponline.com/authentic-sergei-bobrovsky-jersey , when Evander Kane took a cross-ice pass from Pavelski and slid it back across the crease to Donskoi, who tapped it into the open net for his 14th goal.”There was some of the talk when it happened of `Get this kill and get a little momentum going,”’ Pavelski said. ”The game wasn’t going well at that point so it was huge for us to come back.”Fehr added his goal 1:44 later for his first since Jan. 18, 2017, for Pittsburgh against Montreal.NOTES: Bertuzzi had three assists. … The Sharks allowed the first goal in five of six games on the homestand.UP NEXTRed Wings: Visit the Los Angeles Kings on Thursday.Sharks: Visit the Edmonton Oilers on Wednesday.— WASHINGTON (AP) The Latest from Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Final between the Washington Capitals and the Vegas Golden Knights (all times local):9:40 p.m.The Washington Capitals got three goals in the first period of Game 4 and are spending much of the second period making sure the lead stands up against the Vegas Golden Knights.Striving to take a 3-1 lead in the best-of-7 Stanley Cup Final, the Capitals have killed a pair of power plays to maintain a three-goal cushion.Vegas has a 20-13 advantage in shots on goal, but Washington has goals from T.J. TAMPA Florida Panthers Hoodies Womens , Fla. (AP) The Tampa Bay Lightning, with a primary assist from a team that handled them during the regular season, are back in the Eastern Conference final for the third time in four years.Thank you, Boston Bruins.”I guess I can say it now. Boston set the bar for us, and we played them three times late in the year,” Lightning coach Jon Cooper said after his team’s 3-1 victory over the Bruins ended their second-round playoff series in five games.”The first two times we played them, they literally manhandled us. … and we knew if we were going to go anywhere when we made the playoffs, or if we made the playoffs, that we had to be as good as Boston http://www.officialhurricanes.com/authentic-adidas-andrei-svechnikov-jersey ,” Cooper added.”We beat them 4-0 (in the last meeting). I think that gave us a little hit of confidence. I guess a lot of confidence. … and, ultimately we carried that through into this playoff round.”Brayden Point and J.T. Miller scored second-period goals and Anton Stralman added an empty-netter with 1:29 remaining to end any chance for a Boston comeback.Andrei Vasilevskiy stopped 27 shots – 14 in the final period – for the Lightning, who rebounded from losing the series opener at home to eliminate the Bruins in five games.Boston won three of the four games between the teams during the regular season, finishing one point behind Tampa Bay for the Atlantic Division title and the No. 1 seed in the East. The Bruins outlasted Toronto in seven games in the opening round of the playoffs. They scored six goals to beat the Lightning in Game 1, but had difficulty scoring after that.Over the last three games, Boston failed to score an even-strength goal.”You’ve got to give them credit. We’re a team that scored all year long with different players in and out of the lineup,” Bruins coach Bruce Cassidy said.”We scored against Toronto, so it’s not like after 89 games we forgot how to score or not play the right way,” Cassidy added. ”I think their D corps is big and they move the puck. They did a good job of not allowing us to get inside.”David Krejci scored on the power play in the final minute of the first period to give Boston a 1-0 lead that Point erased with his unassisted goal at 10:43 of the second.Miller’s power-play goal broke the tie less than four minutes later Brock McGinn Jersey Kids , and Stralman added an empty-netter with 1:29 remaining.”They’re a really good team. They have been all year,” Bruins winger Brad Marchand said. ”They compete extremely hard, they have a lot of speed. They were better than we were in a lot of areas, one of them being puck battles and their pursuit. It showed up in the end.”One day after being put ”on notice” by the NHL for licking Lightning forward Ryan Callahan during Friday night’s overtime loss in Game 4, there were no more such incidents involving Marchand, who also made headlines after appearing to lick Toronto’s Leo Komarov in the first round.Marchand was given an edict Saturday to stop licking opponents or subject himself to a possible fine or suspension for future incidents.Cassidy said before the game that he had spoken with Marchand, delivering a simple, straight-forward message: ”We need you on the ice, we need you playing. If part of his M.O. is to annoy people Florida Panthers Hats Womens , find a different way to annoy them. Preferably by scoring some goals, that would be the best way.”Afterward, Marchand shrugged off a question about his discussion the previous day with NHL senior vice president of hockey operations Colin Campbell.”It is what it is,” Marchand said. ”I think it’s pretty stupid, the whole situation, but if that’s what they want to do, it’s what they want to do.”The Lightning once again did a good job of containing Boston’s top line of Patrice Bergeron, David Pastrnak and Marchand. Although the trio combined for 23 points in the series (seven goals, 16 assists) Authentic Jaccob Slavin Jersey , about half that production (11 points) came in the Bruins’ 6-2 win in Game 1.Bergeron and Charlie McAvoy assisted on Krejci’s goal, but Vasilevskiy came up big against the high-scoring line with four huge saves – one on Bergeron’s point-blank shot – in the closing minutes while Tampa Bay was killing off Boston’s last power-play opportunity. The Bruins scored five goals over the final three games of the series, four of them on the power play and one short-handed.”You can’t rely on special teams every night to win games,” Marchand said. ”They help for sure, but you have to be able to produce 5-on-5.”NOTES: Bruins RW David Backes left the ice after taking a hard hit from Miller with just under eight minutes remaining in the second period. He did not return. … The Lightning improved to 5-1 in Game 5s when holding a 3-1 series lead. … Boston played without D Torey Krug, who injured his left ankle during Game 4. Nick Holden took over Krug’s spot, making his first appearance since Game 3 of Boston’s opening-round series against Toronto.— DETROIT — The New York Rangers and Detroit Red Wings are both rebuilding but have played well in their past few games.Detroit hosts New York Friday night at Little Caesars Arena at 7:30.The Rangers (7-7-1) have won four straight and the Red Wings (5-8-2) have four victories in their past five games. Also each team won Tuesday night after trailing by two in the second period. New York beat Montreal 5-3 at Madison Square Garden and Detroit defeated Vancouver 3-2 in a shootout at LCA.Article continues below ...The Rangers trailed the Canadiens 3-1 with less than three minutes left in the second, but defenseman Tony De Angelo scored late in the middle period and right winger Pavel Buchnevich, defenseman Neal Pionk and center Mika Zibanejad (short-handed) scored in the third.“They definitely had the momentum … we were able to reset going into the third Jeff Skinner Jersey ,” defenseman Marc Staal said. That was also New York’s second consecutive win after winning twice in California. Because of the time difference, teams usually struggle in their first game or two back from a west coast trip. The Rangers won 3-2 in a shootout in Anaheim last Thursday night.“I love how we responded coming back from the trip and we win two hockey games here,” Rangers coach David Quinn said. “It says a lot.”Said Staal: “We’re on a bit of a roll. With wins comes confidence, finishing games.”The Red Wings trailed the Canucks 2-0 in the second period on Tuesday night. Forward Justin Abdelkader’s power-play goal in the second made it 2-1 and Gustav Nyquist’s tied it early in the third period. Center Dylan Larkin scored the only goal of the shootout.“I think part of resilient is guys stepping and making plays at big moments,” Detroit coach Jeff Blashill said. “And for a goaltender, it’s just making a whole bunch of saves and I thought Howie (goalie Jimmy Howard) was a big difference that way.”Howard made 40 saves against Vancouver and stopped all three shooters in the shootout. The Red Wings seem like a totally different team than the one that began the season 1-7-2.“Well … we’re bending not breaking I guess,” Howard said. “Early in the season when stuff started to go wrong the body language was off and things really exploded on us and now guys are continuing to keep working.”Detroit is expected to get two forwards back from injury on Friday. Andreas Athanasiou (leg) and center Frans Nielsen (concussion) are expected to return after they each missed four games.Larkin practiced Thursday after missing practice on Wednesday to recover from a minor injury suffered late in Tuesday night’s game. He will play on Friday night. It will be the second NHL game this season for Rangers center Lias Andersson, the seventh overall pick in the 2017 NHL Draft. Andersson was recalled from Hartford for the game Tuesday against Montreal and played 12:17 on a line between Jimmy Vesey and Jesper Fast.New York assigned forward Boo Nieves to Hartford of the American Hockey League on Thursday.

Each time Boston’s top line jumps over the boards www.officialpredators.com , the Tampa Bay Lightning are on red alert.Make a mistake and Brad Marchand, Patrice Bergeron and David Pastrnak will make you pay.”You think it’s going all right and you’re playing well, and they only need one look,” Lightning defenseman Ryan McDonagh said. ”We knew that. That’s no surprise. They’re a good line.”Top lines are lighting up opponents all over the playoffs, ratcheting scoring up to a pace not seen in more than two decades. Top trios from the Capitals, Golden Knights, Penguins, Jets and Predators are having their way against top opposing defensemen. Goals are supposed to be harder to come by in the playoffs, but after years of NHL rule changes to get goals, goals and more goals, that is exactly what’s happening.”Every line, every group of forwards, give different challenges for defensemen,” Washington coach Barry Trotz said. ”It’s the types of reads and the tendencies of the group and as a series goes on there’s going to be more and more deception happening from a forward group to our group of defenders and vice versa. It’s the constant reads and the constant communication and the constant positioning that you have to have against really dynamic people who are good collectively or individually.”Especially in the Stanley Cup playoffs, it’s not easy playing good D.A total of 341 goals were scored through the first 56 playoff games, the most at that point since 1996 (347). Elite goaltenders are putting on a show Nashville Predators T-Shirts Authentic , yet top lines like Jake Guentzel, Sidney Crosby and Patric Hornqvist (Pittsburgh); Alex Ovechkin, Evgeny Kuznetsov and Tom Wilson (Washington); Kyle Connor, Mark Scheifele and Blake Wheeler (Winnipeg); Jonathan Marchessault, William Karlsson and Reilly Smith (Vegas): and Filip Forsberg, Ryan Johansen and Viktor Arvidsson (Nashville) are taking advantage of their opportunities.Top lines have been on the ice for 42 of the 78 goals scored through Tuesday in the second round, a showcase of skill that proves great offense is beating great defense. So many of the game’s best defensemen are now counted on as much for their offense as the play in their own end, yet even those tasked with stopping the stars haven’t been able to do it.”We’ve got a game plan, but I don’t think we’ve completely executed it yet,” Sharks defenseman Brenden Dillon said of containing the Golden Knights’ top line. ”We’re kind of doing it in bits and pieces.”The Penguins trail the Capitals 2-1 in their second-round series in part because they haven’t gotten much offense beyond Guentzel, Crosby and Hornqvist, plus the goals that top line is giving up to Ovechkin and Kuznetsov.”They’re pretty aggressive, so there’s some open ice heading the other way against them,” top Capitals defenseman Matt Niskanen said. ”You’ve got to defend hard when they have it and make your plays and have confidence to make plays when you do have it. If you’re only playing defense against them, it’s going to be a long night. You have to go on the attack, as well.”That’s the risk-reward for elite defenders in the playoffs: knowing when to counterattack. It has worked some for the Bruins Nashville Predators Hoodies Authentic , who so far have limited the damage from Tampa Bay’s J.T. Miller, Steven Stamkos and Nikita Kucherov and put up some goals against them.Bruins defensemen Zdeno Chara and Charlie McAvoy corralled Auston Matthews and Toronto’s top offensive performers in the first round and continue to draw the toughest assignments against the Lightning.”The guys on the ice, that’s their assignment for 15, 18 minutes, whatever they play at even strength that night,” Boston coach Bruce Cassidy said. ”There’s no magic formula about following them around or any particular structure other than Z and Charlie have done a good job of not getting caught up ice, giving them odd-man rushes for the most part.”Pittsburgh’s biggest hole through three games defensively – outside of Matt Murray’s apparently vulnerable glove hand – has been defending the Capitals on the rush.”They’re a very skilled team,” defensemen Justin Schultz said. ”You’ve got to have numbers back and keep your head on a swivel because they’re very talented.”It’s not just rush goals, though, as the Jets’ Connor, Scheifele and Wheeler showed in helping lead a comeback from down 3-0 to beat the Predators 7-4 to take a 2-1 series lead. Winnipeg and Nashville have combined for 25 goals despite two Vezina Trophy finalists in net and some of the best defensemen in hockey. It’s a blueprint for how the NHL wanted to crank up offense.”I think the mindset is definitely to play well defensively,” Predators captain Roman Josi said. ”Both teams want to play a good game defensively, and for some reason these two teams seem to bring the best out of each other and they’re always high-scoring games.”—AP Sports Writers Josh Dubow in San Jose, California, and Teresa M. Walker in Nashville, Tennessee Nashville Predators Hats Authentic , and freelance reporter Matt Kalman in Boston contributed.— SEATTLE (AP) The group looking to bring professional hockey to Seattle has taken the next step in the pursuit of an NHL franchise. The Oak View Group and its prospective NHL ownership group, led by billionaire David Bonderman and filmmaker Jerry Bruckheimer, submitted its expansion application with the National Hockey League on Tuesday.”We are excited for the next steps in the process and our continued partnership with the City of Seattle,” Oak View CEO Tim Leiweke said in a statement. The expansion application has been expected for weeks and is the next step in Seattle’s ongoing hope of bringing an NHL franchise to the largest market in the United States without a professional winter sports franchise. The filing also included a $10 million deposit. Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan also tweeted her excitement about Oak View’s filing with the NHL.If Seattle is successful in its expansion bid, the new franchise would bring the league to an even 32 teams with 16 in each conference. A new team would also yield a hefty expansion fee – in the neighborhood of $650 million. The expansion application is a procedural step that was necessary to validate Oak View’s intent on making Seattle the next NHL market. Seattle’s application will be reviewed and ultimately the league’s executive committee will make a recommendation to the full NHL Board of Governors. The timeline for that is unknown. The expansion franchise process is running concurrent with a $660 million remodel of KeyArena being privately financed by OVG. The group has an aggressive timeline for construction that could have the renovated building open in time for the 2020-21 NHL season. The first test in how willing Seattle is to embrace the NHL will arrive in the coming weeks and months when the prospective ownership group begins a season-ticket drive, the same way the league tested Las Vegas. Any NHL team in Seattle would find a completely different landscape than a decade ago when the Sonics and NBA moved to Oklahoma City and the city lost its winter sports outlet.Seattle’s skyline is filled with as many construction cranes as snowcapped peaks in the surrounding mountains. Amazon has taken over an entire section of the city, joined nearby by satellite offices of Google and Facebook. The amount of wealth now in the Seattle market is part of the reason Oak View CEO Tim Leiweke has regularly called Seattle ”a brilliant marketplace” and one of the most enticing expansion opportunities in pro sports history.Seattle has become a city of transplants due to the booming local economy. A hockey franchise would provide those newcomers a team to rally around, much like what happened when the Sounders of the MLS arrived in 2009.But finding a foothold in Seattle will be an examination of how starved fans are for another team. Basketball is embedded in the DNA of the region thanks to 41 years of the SuperSonics until 2008 and a lengthy history of producing NBA talent. While the ownership group for the potential NHL franchise appears set, there remains some concern about having the new arena ready by the 2020 season. OVG and the city reached agreement on a memorandum of understanding for the arena in December. Councilmembers praised the agreement for including benefits for the city, including $20 million in cash and in-kind contributions to nonprofit organizations and another $40 million to help improve transportation in the area around Seattle Center. The MOU was the first step in a process that will include an environmental review. The city still needs to finalize several key documents with the developer, including the lease and other agreements.Under the MOU, Oak View Group would be responsible for regular facility upgrades for the life of the 39-year lease agreement. Should those upgrade requirements be met, there are two eight-year lease extensions that will be activated, and carry the entire life of the lease agreement to 55 years.—AP Hockey Writer John Wawrow contributed to this report.

ST. PAUL http://www.goldenknightsshoponline.com/authentic-reilly-smith-jersey , Minn. (AP) — Finishing a tiring stretch with four games in six nights, the Minnesota Wild twice faced a two-goal deficit in the first to the dangerous Tampa Bay Lightning.Minnesota coach Bruce Boudreau has learned a very important lesson about his team in the early part of this season, though. The Wild know they can come back from slow starts.Mikael Granlund scored 3:43 into overtime and Minnesota beat Tampa Bay 5-4 on Saturday night.Charlie Coyle, Marcus Foligno, Zach Parise and Jason Zucker all scored in regulation as the Wild rallied again in the third period. Minnesota has allowed the first goal in six straight games but is 4-1-1 in those contests.“I’d much prefer to start out 2-0 and then increase it, but it’s also a really good thing when a team starts to believe it can come back,” Boudreau said. “I’ve been fortunate enough to be with some teams that in the third period when they were down, they said, ‘OK, we know we can score goals.’ And they do.“It’s not what you want to have to rely on all the time but it’s nice to know that you never give up and you never think you’re out of it.”Alex Stalock made 27 saves for the Wild, who outshot the Lightning 11-4 in the third period.Yanni Gourde and J.T. Miller each had a goal and assist for Tampa Bay, which lost in its first road game of the season.Ryan Callahan scored his first of the season for the Lightning and Anton Stralman pushed the game into overtime with his first goal of the season with 4:58 left in the third after Minnesota took its first lead of the game.“You’re playing well, you’re feeling good, we were pressing, pressing, pressing,” Tampa Bay coach Jon Cooper said. “We scored and then we probably got a little bit comfortable. It’s funny, when we went behind, the desperation kicked in and showed a lot about our resiliency just to get a point out of the game.”Andrei Vasilekskiy made 29 saves for the Lightning William Karlsson Jersey , who had their three-game winning streak snapped as they played on the road after a season-opening, five-game homestand.Tampa Bay got a quick start with goals from Callahan and Gourde within the first 10:50. Callahan was playing in his just his second game after recovering from an upper-body injury.Coyle’s goal brought Minnesota within one, but Miller scored before the end of the first to re-establish the two-goal advantage. The Lightning outshot the Wild 16-9 in the first.“This one stings,” Tampa Bay defenseman Ryan McDonagh said. “We had it going on all cylinders there in the first period and felt good about ourselves. We can’t let our foot off the gas pedal there against any team in this league, especially on the road. So, lesson learned.”Foligno scored his first of the season for the only tally of the second period and Parise tied the game 10:45 into the third.Zucker gave the Wild the lead as they pressured Vasilevskiy. But Stralman, on just the team’s third shot of the period, pushed Minnesota into overtime for the third time in five home games.“I think we’re saving it in the first, as of right now,” Wild forward Jason Zucker said. “We need to try and fix that. As long as we’re getting the wins right now, I think we’re going to be happy with it.”NOTES: Wild C Matt Hendricks missed his second straight game with a lower-body injury. … Vasilevskiy had not allowed more than two goals in a game this season. … Stalock started for the second time this season in place of Devan Dubnyk, who made 33 saves in a win at Dallas the previous night. … Tampa Bay hasn’t won in Minnesota since April 2, 2011, losing seven games in a row. … The Wild were 0 for 2 on the power play. OTTAWA Nazem Kadri Jersey , Ontario (AP) With their own playoff hopes long gone, the Ottawa Senators are taking great satisfaction in making life harder for those still fighting for a spot.Mike Hoffman scored his 22nd goal at 3:26 of overtime and the Senators beat the Dallas Stars 3-2 on Friday night to win their third game in a row for just the second time this season.Marian Gaborik and Matt Duchene also scored for the Senators (26-33-11), and Craig Anderson made 23 saves. Ottawa won on home ice for the first time since Feb. 17.”We’re showing what kind of team we really are in here,” Duchene said. ”It’s too bad it’s so late in the season and we couldn’t have done this a little earlier, but it wasn’t for lack of trying. We want to go into the summer on a high note and we’re on our way.”Tyler Seguin and Tyler Pitlick had the goals for the Stars (38-26-8). Ben Bishop, who stopped 22 shots, made his first start since missing five games with a knee injury sustained March 5 against the Senators. Bishop has a 9-0-4 career record against Ottawa.Dallas, in the thick of a crowded playoff race, has lost four straight for its longest skid of the season.”It’s very disappointing,” Pitlick said. ”Every point is important right now.”Stars coach Ken Hitchcock chose to look at the one point his team earned in a more favorable light.”This is a great point,” he said. ”To come back and we’ve got nothing left in the tank and we keep pushing, this is a good point. The (6-5 overtime loss on Wednesday) in Toronto was tough, it’s really tough Danton Heinen Jersey Kids , but this is a great point. Ottawa has a lot of skill and a lot of speed and they put us to the test and to come back and get a point in this game after we almost gave it away is good. We move on.”The Stars did themselves no favors in the third. The Senators started the period on a power play and were able to take advantage as Gaborik scored his 10th of the season on a one-timer off some solid work from Thomas Chabot and Ryan Dzingel to tie it at 1.”We’ve done a good job staying strong mentally,” Ottawa coach Guy Boucher said. ”We don’t score the first goal and we’re still winning the game – we’ve had a few of those lately and I think our players are looking really good. But I’ve been saying it for a long time and now we’re getting some results.”The Stars didn’t register their first shot until the 16th minute of the period, shortly after the Senators took a 2-1 lead on Duchene’s goal.Duchene took the puck on his backhand, moved it to his forehand and beat Bishop high from in close. Just more than a minute later, the Stars tied it 2-all as Pitlick put the puck past Anderson.Neither team seemed to be able to get much going in the second.Jean-Gabriel Pageau had a great chance but rang a shot off the post, and the Stars hit one at the other end.Mark Borowiecki took an elbow to the mouth midway through the game and went to the dressing room, but was able to return.Pitlick took a late double-minor for high sticking Senators defenseman Ben Harpur with just under a minute left in the second to set up Ottawa for a three-minute man advantage to open the third. The Stars opened the scoring midway through the first on the power play as some good passing led to Jamie Benn feeding Seguin for a one-timer and his 38th goal of the season, a career high. The Senators had their chances but hit the post three times, twice on the same power play.Benn had a strange moment late in the game when he fell on Erik Karlsson’s stick and wouldn’t let it go and then took it to the Stars’ bench. He later asked Karlsson if he could have it, and the Senators’ captain gladly gave it up.”I’ll gladly give a good player that stick,” said Karlsson, who acknowledged he’d never had anyone ask him for a stick during a game before.NOTES: Ottawa’s Mark Stone missed his third straight game with a leg injury. … Stars D Marc Methot sat out his second consecutive game with a hand injury. Osh scored, Nisky’s goal is pretty sick. How he scored, it was pretty impressive.”Oshie gave the Capitals a 1-0 lead 2:50 into the game with his 18th of the season. The Vegas Golden Knights are among the NHL teams with the most salary cap space going into free agency Womens Justin Abdelkader Jersey , giving the Western Conference champions some chips to put on the table in a bid to get back to the Stanley Cup Final.Vegas had nearly $30 million to spend going into the weekend, according to spotrac.com, trailing only the New York Islanders by about $2 million. The Golden Knights seem set up for major moves if general manager George McPhee wants to bolster the second-year team with free agents.Vegas didn’t appear to have a shot at landing the top prize on the market John Tavares . But the Golden Knights may make a run at some other available veterans to help increase their chances of competing at a championship level again next season.Players such as James van Riemsdyk and Paul Stastny would fit in up front with a team that stunningly exceeded expectations during the franchise’s inaugural season. Mike Green, perhaps the best defenseman available, is another veteran that would mesh well as a puck-moving defenseman for the speedy team. However, McPhee may not want to pay a heavy price with long-term contracts to land any of the top players on the market. He may choose to re-sign his own free agents, sign goalie Marc-Andre Fleury, who has one year left on his deal, to a contract extension. He may roll with the talented players on his roster while trying to draft and develop. The Golden Knights have some free agents of their own they’ll want to bring back. James Neal Luke Glendening Jersey , David Perron and Ryan Reaves are unrestricted free agents with a chance to cash in on their performances last season by re-signing with Vegas or leaving to take advantage of a thin crop of available players.Vegas’ key restricted free agents are: William Karlsson, Colin Miller, Shea Theodore, Tomas Nosek and Will Carrier. Keeping Karlsson, without a doubt, will be a priority. Here’s a look at some other teams positioned to make major moves:NEW YORK ISLANDERSThe Islanders had nearly $32 million in cap space the day before free agency began, giving them more money to spend than any other team in the league. They’ll need a lot of that money to retain Tavares, who is easily the best player potentially available. The 27-year-old star center can command an eight-year deal to stay in New York for perhaps $10 million, or more Martin Frk Jersey , per season.NEW YORK RANGERSThe Rangers were $27-plus million under the cap going into the weekend, but had just 13 players under contract. They will have to spend about $10 million next season to retain restricted free agents Vladislav Namestnikov, Kevin Hayes and Ryan Spooner.TORONTO MAPLE LEAFSThe franchise hopes to sign Tavares, who is from the Toronto area, to give it a second star to go along with 20-year-old Auston Matthews. Toronto will have some tough choices to make with some of its own players potentially on the unrestricted free agent market such as van Riemsdyk, Tyler Bozak, Tomas Plekanec and Leo Komarov. William Nylander, a restricted free agent, will be a priority to keep after consecutive 61-point seasons.VANCOUVER CANUCKSWith twin brothers Henrik and Daniel Sedin retiring after counting $7 million each against the cap last season http://www.redwingsshoponline.com/authentic-mike-green-jersey , the Canucks had nearly $25 million in cap space going into the weekend. They’ll probably have to pay free agents more and offer longer-term contracts than other suitors because they’ve been among the worst teams in the league the last three seasons.— Two teams looking for a major spark will get together Tuesday night when the Anaheim Ducks host the Philadelphia Flyers at Honda Center. The Ducks have lost five in a row, their longest losing streak in three years, while the Flyers have dropped their past three games by a combined score of 13-2.The game in Anaheim will be the start of a four-game West Coast trip for the Flyers (4-7-0) , their only visit to California and Arizona this season. Team captain Claude Giroux told the Philadelphia Inquirer that the road trip should provide an opportunity for the team to bond away from the ice.Article continues below ...“That’s what we need right now,” Giroux said. “We need to get closer as a team, we need to go out there and play for each other, and this road trip is going to be very important for the season.”The Ducks (5-5-2) opened a four-game homestand Sunday night against the San Jose Sharks and played better than in the previous four games, rallying from a 3-1 deficit in the second period with two goals from recent waiver acquisition Pontus Aberg, but they eventually lost 4-3 in overtime.Anaheim coach Randy Carlyle stressed the importance of staying positive during this rut.“There is our fair share of work that needs to be done Womens Nick Jensen Jersey , but for us it’s about taking the next step,” he said. “Right now, we’re a hockey club that has to try to create an identity, and we did that in the last 30 minutes of (the San Jose) game.”Anaheim has been trying to play with a faster pace, but the process seems to be creating more scoring chances for the opposition than the Ducks. The Sharks outshot Anaheim 19-8 in the first period and 34-17 through two before finishing with a 45-27 edge. The Ducks are allowing a league-high 39.1 shots per game while taking a league-low 24.5.“We have to get to the bottom of that,” Ducks defenseman Josh Manson said. The Ducks have been repeatedly bailed out by goaltenders John Gibson and Ryan Miller. Gibson is sixth in the NHL with a .938 save percentage, and Miller also has a .938 save percentage in three appearances, including two starts. Despite the heavy volume of shots against, they’ve helped limit the team’s goals-against average to 2.75 Thomas Vanek Jersey , which is 12th-best in the NHL.The Flyers haven’t received nearly as quality of goaltending, a major reason why they’re allowing a league-high 4.18 goals per game. The Flyers have also struggled on the penalty kill, allowing a league-high 13 power-play goals for a league-worst kill rate of 67.5 percent. They’ve allowed six power-play goals in the past four games.“We can’t give up,” Philadelphia center Scott Laughton told the Inquirer. “On the bench, you’ve got to stay positive, keep encouraging guys, and it’s only these guys in here that’s going to get us out of it. No one’s going to feel sorry for us that we’re under .500.”

Larry Fitzgerald Arizona Cardinals Hats , Michael Bidwill among those at John McCain’s Capitol viewing While I understand this is a fan page for the Cardinals, I feel that it is necessary to pay our respects to Arizona Senator John McCain, who lost his battle with brain cancer on August 25, 2018. I have lived in Arizona my entire life, and in the days following Senator McCain’s death, I have come to realize that he has been my senator since the day I was born. He has also been an Arizona Senator for the entire time the Cardinals have called Arizona home. It is a little strange to think these last few days have been our first without Senator McCain serving our state. It is common knowledge that Senator McCain was a POW during the Vietnam war. In October of 1967, while serving as a Navy aviator, he was captured by the North Vietnamese after his plane was shot down over Hanoi. It was reported that McCain had several broken bones and was held in solitary confinement for over a year. He was also subject to other forms of torture, which had the end goal of extracting information. McCain proved to be tough to break. When asked to give up the names of the men in his squadron, McCain instead listed Green Bay Packers offensive line.In total, McCain ended up spending five and a half years as a prisoner. He could have been released nearly four years earlier, but he refused to leave until all those captured before him were also released. This is something that McCain’s friend, Larry Fitzgerald, believes is true heroism. Fitzgerald, who spends his off-seasons travelling the globe, has visited Truc Bach Lake where McCain’s plane was shot down. While visiting Vietnam, Fitz toured the lake, the prison cell Arizona Cardinals Hoodie , and learned of the conditions and torture that McCain endured. McCain and Fitzgerald’s friendship grew after this experience. Fitz has toured the Senate in Washington DC, with McCain, and has been a guest panelist at McCain’s global summit in Sedona, AZ. The friendship went both ways, as it wasn’t just Fitz stepping into McCain’s world. The senator had become a mainstay at Cardinals practices and games over the years. Senator McCain’s passing has caused a wave of grief within the Cardinals organization, with Cardinals President, Michael Bidwell saying, “We are heart-broken by his passing but know that the character, courage and conviction that he demonstrated throughout his life will endure forever.”Larry Fitzgerald also offered his condolences via Twitter, “Rest in peace to an American hero, statesman, servant of the people, and dear friend. Godspeed Senator McCain. My prayers for Cindy and the beautiful McCain family.”Fitzgerald joined former Vice President Joe Biden, and other dignitaries speaking at Senator McCain’s Phoenix memorial service. McCain left his mark across other Arizona sports teams as well, as former Coyotes captain Shane Doan and former Diamondbacks outfielder Luis Gonzalez served as pallbearers at the service.I would like to thank Senator McCain for his service to our state, and to our nation. He has served with dignity, and has earned the respect of his peers on both sides of the aisle. Even if you didn’t always agree with McCain’s political dialogue, it would be difficult to question his courage or patriotism. My heart goes out to the McCain family in this very difficult time.Sunday Night Open Thread: Arizona Cardinals get Sunday off of camp Happy Sunday night one and all Customized Arizona Cardinals Jerseys , hope your weekend has been a good one.The Arizona Cardinals had Sunday off, now they are drawing near the end of training camp.Date Practice TimeSaturday, 7/28 1:30-4:00 PMSunday, 7/29 1:30-4:00 PM**Monday, 7/30 8:00-10:40 AMThursday, 8/2 3:00-5:15 PMSaturday, 8/4 1:30-4:00 PM (Red & White Practice)Monday, 8/6 3:00-5:15 PMWednesday, 8/8 1:30-4:00 PM**Thursday, 8/9 8:00-10:40 AMSaturday, 8/11 Preseason game vs. L.A. Fitz has produced well, but it’s still crazy to expect him to continue to play at that level.Antoine Bethea is the starter and the leader on the backend of the defense. He’ll be key to Wilks and new defensive coordinator Al Holcomb getting the defense off to a fast start.Shipley, Smith and Iupati are all on the wrong side of 30 and makeup an offensive line that has quite the issue staying healthy. They’re also key to the Cardinals having a good season.Sam Bradford goes into camp as the starter for 2018. Corey Peters is one of the anchors on a young defense, he also is one of the best against the run in the NFL, so he’ll be key in the Cardinals defensive scheme change. The final 30 year old is Gresham. On one of the worst contracts in the NFL, the tight end will be coming off an achilles injury coming into his year 30.The Cardinals are putting quite a bit on their older players heading into 2018, and how they play will determine the quality of the season in Wilks first year.

SI worries about Josh Rosen’s mood When the Josh Rosen talk was happening leading up to the 2018 NFL Draft Cheap Christian Kirk Jersey , the conversation was literally never about his work on the field.Instead, it was always about the person of Rosen, ignoring the glowing reviews of the work on the field. In May, Albert Breer wrote quite the article wondering if Rosen was meant for the NFL:On Monday, Breer’s colleague, Robert Klemko, was at the Arizona Cardinals training camp and came away with some not so great things to say about Rosen as well:The amazing thing is, that up until Saturday’s woeful performance by the second team offense, the buzz about camp was Josh Rosen, his personality, how he is handling the rigors of the NFL and clicking with teammates:That’s what is always the interesting part about these reports from camp.Writers come in for a day Youth Robert Nkemdiche Jersey , make a sweeping conclusion, then blow out of town. Was Rosen just having an off day, was he frustrated with himself or with his teammates, or was it just the realization of wasting time not getting in sync and in rhythm before a chance to work in a live game with the first team offense? Was there even anything to the story itself or was this just a single man’s interpretation of the events?I guess this is what happens when you get a big time quarterback prospect finally. The Arizona Cardinals have invested a lot into their offensive line. They picked up D.J. Humphries’ fifth-year option worth $9.625 million, drafted Mason Cole in the third round, signed Andre Smith to a two-year $8 million contract, and once upon a time had Mike Iupati on a five-year $40 million contract. Justin Pugh was supposedly one of the best guards in 2018 free agency, which is why he was signed to a five-year $45 million contract. Despite allowing only one sack on the season, Pugh, according to Pro Football Focus, is one of the worst offensive guards in the NFL. His 51.1 overall grade thus far is the sixth worst among the 64 eligible guards. Caleb Benenoch Cheap Josh Rosen Jersey , Vladimir Ducasse, Dan Feeney, Jon Feliciano, and Cardinals’ Mike Iupati are the only guards that rank below him. The Cardinals offensive line as a whole isn’t any better, ranking as the worst unit in the NFL according to PFF. Their 40 combined pressures allowed by the interior lineman is concerning. There’s still plenty of time for Pugh to turn things around. But, how much more money do the Cardinals need to invest into this offensive line until they get some good results?Cardinals GM Steve Keim had a higher grade on Justin Pugh than Andrew Norwell in free agency. Maybe versatility was more important than anything else but Norwell was clearly the better guard. Keim’s overall ability to analyze and scout offensive lineman is put more into question. They are scheduled to take on the Minnesota Vikings this weekend, a team boasting arguably the best front seven in the NFL. The Cardinals can’t continue to put up lackluster performances on the offense, especially if they want to keep up against a high-scoring Vikings’ team. The improvements must start up front and the offensive line needs to step up their game.

Tonight the Seahawks head to London while the Raiders fly out Thursday night. The two teams which are a few hundred miles apart in the states Authentic Rashaan Melvin Jersey , flying halfway around the world to face each other. Both teams are doing the trip non-stop from the West coast to London, which is about an 11-hour flight. The Seahawks will have a couple days to recover while the Raiders will have one day. According to Jon Gruden, he may need a lot more than a day or even a couple days.“I don’t know. I hope I can make it, honestly. I’m not great. I get claustrophobic,” said Gruden. “My son wasa weightlifter and he won a powerlifting competition in Belarus. I had to fly 14 hours. I had to fly home 14 hours. I had vertigo for a month. I couldn’t even lay down, the house was spinning. I am hoping I don’t get vertigo. I’m not a great traveler. I’ll be honest with you, I hate it. I’m not good. I’m concerned. I’m more worried about that than our goal-line offense right now.”The Raiders made the trip to London back in 2014. That year they chose to play in New England the week before Youth Kolton Miller Jersey , then fly into London and spend the week practicing there. That allowed them to better acclimate to the game. Then they went out and looked terrible, but that was mainly because they were just a terrible overall team. Dennis Allen was fired after the game, and the Raiders went on to lose six more after that. There are only two players from that 2014 team who will take the field Sunday. But there is one coach as well, and he is a savvy veteran when it comes to playing in London. Offensive Coordinator Greg Olson.“I know it’s seven for sure, maybe eight,” Olson said of how many trips he’s made to London for a game. The last two of those games were while he was the OC in Jacksonville which has played a game in London every season since 2013, so this will be the seventh time Olson has played in London in his coaching career.“I enjoy the trip http://www.raidersauthorizedshops.com/authentic-marcus-gilchrist-jersey , really. I think it’s good for team bonding. It’s good to get away for a little bit in a long season. I think it’s great this time in the schedule, Game 6, I think with the four preseason games it’s the half way part of the season. I think it’s a real good time for the team to bond. Get over there, be away from any distractions and just a good time to be with your teammates.” Olson has spent the week in London leading up to the game, obviously with the Raiders, and probably with other teams as well, and said he prefers to head over a day before the game as opposed to spending the week there.“I think it was good for our players to be here and rehab and rest here and be in their own beds and have a chance to sleep. We started by having an early week. They actually are going to get an extra day of rest Friday on the travel day and tomorrow night so I think we will be fresh and ready to go. I like the way that they set it up Tahir Whitehead Jersey , our trainers and our strength staff, and coach set it up this year.” Olson is 3-3 on his six trips to play in London, and has won his last three — last season with the Rams and the two previous seasons with the Jaguars. So, I’d say his advice carries some weight as to what works best.Gruden said Olson will be his “tour guide” in London, though there won’t be any time for tourist type stuff.“It’ll probably be mostly just football. I think the length of the flight, probably get over there on Friday and mostly just recover with the players. Get them to stretch. Get them a little something to eat. Get their blood pumping. Get a walkthrough. Then Saturday the day before the game, a lot of review. There won’t be a lot of time for sightseeing Youth Derek Carr Jersey , but I’ll try to sneak out and make some friends.”Hey, maybe since the Raiders have a bye week a few of the players and coaches will stick around London after the game instead of flying right back home. Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Jaron Brown saw teammate David Moore go tumbling over the temporary video advertising boards. At no point was he concerned about his well-being."Any time you catch a touchdown (pass) http://www.oaklandraidersteamonline.com/seth-roberts-jersey , I don't think you're worried about what happens after," Brown said.Quarterback Russell Wilson threw touchdown passes to Brown, Moore and Tyler Lockett, and the Seahawks rolled to a 27-3 victory over the Oakland Raiders on Sunday at Wembley Stadium.Chris Carson rushed for 59 yards and rookie Rashaad Penny gained an additional 43 for the Seahawks (3-3), who played to a vociferously supportive crowd — a London-record 84,922 were in attendance — despite the Raiders (1-5) being the designated home team.Oakland quarterback Derek Carr left the game with an apparent left arm injury with 8:52 remaining in the fourth quarter after the last of his six sacks. He did not have the chance to return because the Seahawks ran out the clock.Carr went 23 for 31 for 142 yards and was hit by Jarran Reed on third down and immediately grabbed his upper left arm as he sat up before being helped to the sideline for evaluation.Coach Jon Gruden said afterward that Carr, who would have been dropped twice more had the Seahawks not been penalized on those plays, was angling to return but backup AJ McCarron would have entered."Just too much fire today," Gruden said. "Too much fire today around the quarterback."Wilson, who completed 17 of 23 attempts for 222 yards with an interception Womens Donald Penn Jersey , connected with Brown for a 5-yard touchdown pass in the first quarter, a 19-yard touchdown pass to Moore in the second and a 10-yard touchdown pass to Lockett in the fourth. After picking up a low snap, Wilson faked a throw and stepped forward, then made a throw to Moore over Daryl Worley. Moore punctuated his touchdown, his third in the Seahawks' past two games, by accidentally crashing into the screens set up around the field."I kind of saw it at the last second, but I didn't think it was that hard until I hit it," Moore said.Former Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch, playing in his first game against his former team, was held to 45 yards on 13 carries as the Raiders unsuccessfully turned to Carr and their passing game to try to catch Seattle.Oakland even made it a point to try to establish Lynch early with three consecutive carries Womens Kelechi Osemele Jersey , but he gained 2 yards on a carry, 2 more yards on another and then lost 3 yards before a punt."We ran three different types of runs and all three of them were rejected," Gruden said. "We wanted to get him in the game, we wanted to get him established. That was the beginning of the game, and after that, we were trying to make a first down and survive. It wasn't pretty."Matt McCrane, who missed a 48-yard field-goal attempt wide left in the second quarter, made one from 43 yards with 8:30 remaining as the Raiders avoided their first shutout since 2014 and the third at Wembley in the past four games.BALDWIN BACKSeahawks wide receiver Doug Baldwin, held to one catch for 1 yard in the loss to the Los Angeles Rams last week, rebounded with team highs of six catches and 91 yards against the Raiders.Baldwin missed two games earlier this season after injuring the medial collateral ligament in his right knee in the season opener and insisted that the low output was not related to his injury.CLOSE TO HOMESebastian Janikowski Womens Justin Ellis Jersey , who joined the Seahawks in the offseason after 17 seasons with the Raiders, made field goals of 44 and 26 yards. It was the second time Janikowski, who was born in Poland and moved to the United States as a teenager, played in London but the first time he converted a field goal attempt.INJURIESSeattle: CB Tre Flowers left the game with muscle cramps with 4:08 left in the third quarter. TE Nick Vannett (back) was inactive despite coach Pete Carroll saying on Friday he would play.Oakland: In addition to Carr, WR Amari Cooper (concussion) left the game with 13:40 remaining in the second quarter after taking a helmet-to-helmet hit from Seahawks safety Bradley McDougald. LG Joe Feliciano, starting for Kelechi Osemele (knee), left the game late in the second quarter with a rib injury and did not return, and WR Seth Roberts (concussion) left with 11 minutes remaining.UP NEXTSeattle: Travel to face the Detroit Lions on Oct. 28 after a bye week.Oakland: Will host the Indianapolis Colts on Oct. 28, also after a bye. When Jon Gruden became the head coach of the Oakland Raiders again http://www.oaklandraidersteamonline.com/leon-hall-jersey , one of the first things he did was challenge running back Marshawn Lynch. Remember the conversation he told superfan Ahmed he had with Lynch?“We’re not going to have that,” Gruden said. “No. I said to him: ‘I need Marshawn Lynch. I don’t need this part-time Lynch. I need full-time Lynch. We need the real deal. If you’re going to put those letters on the back of your jersey, man, you’ve got to back it up, Marshawn—right? We don’t need another back, we need a feature back.” So Lynch does just that and his reward is Gruden trying to get a washed-up Doug Martin on the field. All Gruden can talk about is how Martin was once an All-Pro but that was just one year. Forget about him averaging 2.9 yards per carry the previous two years, four yards per carry or more for only two of his seven seasons and sitting on 3.7 YPC this season. Most of his carries this year are a wasted running play that could have went to Lynch.Currently, Lynch has 331 yards rushing (10th) with 275 of it coming after contact (3rd). His average is 4.3 yards per carry with 3.57 of it after contact. Compare that to 3.7 yards per carry and 2.44 after contact for Martin. Yards after contact are at a premium with the Raiders these days because the offensive line isn’t opening too many holesWith all those yards after contact, Lynch gets stronger as the game goes on. Last year, he averaged around 11 carries per game in the first half of it and produced 3.8 yards per carry. In the second half of the season, Lynch averaged 17 carries per game to average 4.5 yards per carry. Over the last five games that year, he had 434 yards Authentic Jordy Nelson Jersey , (4th in the league) averaging 17 carries per game and 5.2 yards per carry. Then this year, Lynch comes off 130 yards on 20 carries and being a top-5 rusher after four games to have Gruden give him only nine carries. And of course there was the play quarterback Derek Carr threw an interception at the 1-yardline with Lynch ready to go Beastmode. That can’t happen with Lynch playing against the Seattle Seahawks, his former team, right? “He had a lot to do, I think, with the Super Bowl ring that the Seahawks wear,” Gruden said Friday. “He was the heart and soul of that team. In a lot of ways he’s the heart and soul of the Raiders right now. He’s still running with that incredible physicality, he’s been durable, he’s practiced every day, behind the scenes he’s one of our leaders. He’s a little bit misunderstood by a lot of people, but believe me if you were coaching a football team, he’d be one of the first guys you’d want on your team.”He had a lot to do Authentic Marshawn Lynch Jersey , I think, with the Raiders winning the one game they won in 2018. And giving the heart and soul of your team just nine carries and three catches just isn’t enough. So it’s time to treat Beast Mode like the heart and soul and give him the rock. The Seahawks are No. 29 in the NFL against the run, giving up 4.7 YPC right now to the Raiders need to give Lynch a chance to get at his old team.Raiders week one snap counts vs Rams: Arden Key, Bruce Irvin split defensive snaps, generate little pressure With the Raiders trading Khalil Mack last week, the question that hung over the Raiders was how they were going to replace his production. Namely how were they going to generate pass rush. We got our first peek at those plans Monday night and it was not inspiring. Most figured this was Bruce Irvin’s time to step up and fill the void, both from a leadership standpoint and a production standpoint. Irvin didn’t even play half the snaps on defense. He was often seen standing on the sideline, replaced by rookie Arden Key.It was a bit odd, actually. Irvin had the Raiders only sack in the game on an otherwise nearly pass rush bereft defensive line that had a total of two QB hits in the game. Gruden blamed the Rams ability to run the ball for the lack of pass rush.“When you can run the ball like they ran it in the second half it’s very hard to rush the passer,” said Gruden. “Obviously we didn’t get to Jared [Goff] enough and we didn’t dig early enough. We will take a look at the reasons why we didn’t.”Hopefully Gruden takes a look at the tape from Sunday night to find his answer.Arden Key was particularly disappointing considering the kind of skills he showed in training camp. He pointed to a combination of nerves and the Rams game plan as to why he was ineffective.“Yeah, I was a little nervous at the beginning. I got confident throughout the game,” said Key. “What we saw on film was different than what they did. They run a ton of boots. They tried to slow our rush. Attackers got on us quick. There weren’t sets Womens Derek Carr Jersey , when they gave sets we were slow because the jumped us a lot. They kicked back on us. The things they did on film weren’t what they did a ton today.”To be fair, Tank Carradine was unexpectedly inactive with for undisclosed reasons. Also, to be fair, Carradine isn’t known for his pass rush. He’s more of a run stopper, which may have at least helped in stopping Todd Gurley from running all over the Raiders’ defense. Frostee Rucker saw 65% of the snaps as well and had 2 tackles.Another interesting note is despite all the talk from Defensive Coordinator that the secondary would rotate, they really didn’t. Starters Gareon Conley, Leon Hall, Reggie Nelson, and Marcus Gilchrist played nearly every snap. Rashaan Melvin played 78% of the snaps with Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie getting in for 20 snaps (32%). Karl Joseph saw 7 snaps and offseason favorite Erik Harris didn’t see a snap on defense.Week one snap counts..Offense.Defense.Special Tms...Offense.Defense.Special Tms.

Detroit Lions name 7 captains for the 2018 season Saturday morning Nevin Lawson Jersey , Detroit Lions head coach Matt Patricia noted there was going to be a significant change in the way the Lions handle captain responsibilities in 2018. Instead of doing week-to-week captain designations—like they did under Jim Caldwell—the Lions will be going with season-long captains this year. Later that day, the Lions officially announced the seven players that will be representing the team for the next four (or more) months:Matthew Stafford, Don Muhlbach and Glover Quin aren’t surprising choices. They have been some of the longest-tenured players on the team, and they are all pretty important to their respective unitsHowever, it’s very interesting to see their other choices. They didn’t go with All-Pro Darius Slay, but chose Jarrad Davis and Devon Kennard—two players who will play key roles in 2018, but have yet to prove themselves. T.J. Lang makes sense on offense because of his veteran presence among a pretty young offensive line, but Marvin Jones Jr. is a somewhat surprising pick among the skill players. He doesn’t have the experience that Golden Tate does Cheap Kerryon Johnson Jersey , but he does seem to be growing into a true No. 1 receiver role.Who they didn’t choose is almost as surprising as those who they did choose. No Slay, no Tate, no Ezekiel Ansah. Tate and Slay are probably the most surprising given their respective locker room status as some of the most boisterous personalities on the team. What are your thoughts on the Lions’ seven new captains for the 2018 season?Lions 2018 roster cuts: Detroit waives Jamar McGloster, Brian Brown, Sterling Moore The Detroit Lions cuts are underway. Through a variety of sources the first three names have been leaked.According to ESPN’s Michael Rothstein, offensive lineman Jamar McGloster has been cut:McGloster was added just before the start of training camp, but never really made much of an impression, continuously playing with the third and fourth strings.Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press is reporting corner Sterling Moore is also going to be released. Brought in as a late camp signing T.J. Lang Jersey , Moore didn’t have a lot of time to get up to speed and try to earn a roster spot. The Lions were Moore’s seventh team, with the New Orleans Saints being his most recent stop prior to signing with the Lions on August 20. His previous experience in Matt Patricia’s defense (2011-2012) likely prompted his signing, but he wasn’t able to land a roster spot. Finally wide receiver Brian Brown is also on his way out, per Herbie Teope of NFL.com: Brown was the last of a wide receiver signing early in camp when Detroit was still rotating through depth players. He failed to make a single catch during the preseason, however, and never really had much of a shot at the final 53-man roster.Catch up with all of the Lions’ cuts with our 2018 tracker.
