WASHINGTON — It will be a Stanley Cup Finals rematch when the Vegas Golden Knights visit the Washington Capitals on Wednesday night. The Capitals defeated the Knights in five games last spring to win their first-ever Cup and end the expansion Knights’ Cinderella season. It’s too early to call this year a sophomore slump Youth Matt Irwin Jersey , but the Knights have wobbled out of the gate 1-2. Vegas lost 4-2 to the Baffalo Sabres on Monday night in the second stop of a five-game road trip despite outshooting the Sabres 37-17.Article continues below ...“Too many (Grade A chances) obviously,” Knights forward Max Pacioretty told “You know, we limited them to a low number of shots, however, the shots that they did get were Grade A opportunities. We can’t leave our goaltender out to dry like that.”Jonathan Marchessault had a goal and an assist for the Knights.Vegas, which is 0 of 8 on the power play thus far, didn’t pick up its second loss until the 10th game of last season and now faces back-to-backs against the Capitals and Pittsburgh Penguins.“They’re the Stanley Cup champs,” Golden Knights coach Gerard Gallant said of the Capitals. “We look at this game (Wednesday) night, it’s a big challenge for our group so we’ll get ready to play them. We know them, they know us real well, so hopefully it’ll be a good game and we’d like to come out on top.”Washington (1-0-1) comes into the game well rested, with five days off since dropping a 7-6 overtime decision to the Pittsburgh Penguins after blanking the Boston Bruins 7-0 on opening night. While Gallant somewhat downplayed the rematch in terms of its meaning beyond two points in the standings Womens Mattias Ekholm Jersey , new Capitals coach Todd Reirden expects an intense affair.“Obviously, through a five-game series you develop a little bit of hatred for certain guys, so it’s always nice to get back in to that sort of rivalry that we’ve developed with them,” he said. “I think it’ll be good for our team — especially after five days — to help us get right into the game and know it’s going to be a competitive situation with a real hungry team that’s looking to knock us off.”Reirden will have two additions to his lineup Wednesday night.Defenseman Michal Kempny, who missed the first two games with a concussion, is set to return and be paired with John Carlson.“I never had a concussion before, so I didn’t know what to expect,” Kempny said. “Some headaches, and it was something a little bit weird, but then I felt a better and better every day.”Forward Dmitrij Jaskin, who was claimed on waivers from the St. Louis Blues just before the season began, will make his Washington debut skating on the fourth line with center Nic Dowd and Devante Smith-Pelly.For the Knights P.K Subban Jersey , forward Cody Eakin, who has been out with a lower body injury, could return. He provided 11 goals and 16 assists in 80 games last season.Capitals goalie Braden Holtby pitched a shutout opening night before surrendering seven goals against the Penguins. Holtby allowed eight goals versus the Knights in the final four games of last spring’s finals as Washington rallied from a 1-0 deficit.Marc-Andre Fleury has a 3.93 goals-against average in two-plus games this season. He surrendered four goals per game to Washington in the Cup finals. TORONTO — The Toronto Maple Leafs will be out to regain momentum Saturday night and the St. Louis Blues would like to start some momentum of their own.The Maple Leafs (6-2-0) had a five-game winning streak end Thursday night with a 3-0 loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins and will be trying to resume winning when they host the Blues (1-3-2).“We’re obviously (upset) and disappointed that we didn’t get the result,” said Maple Leafs center John Tavares, who took seven shots Thursday. “It’s a good learning opportunity and it’s a good test now to try to find that momentum back and get back in the win column.”Article continues below ...The Blues have lost twice in overtime and could not hold third-period leads three times. The Montreal Canadiens defeated them 3-2 Wednesday on Brendan Gallagher’s goal at 19:49 of the third period.“Bottom line, we’re faced with some adversity right now,” Blues coach Mike Yeo said. “For me, this is when we’ll really see what people have to bring. This is when you really say something to your teammates. This is when you really show your character.“Obviously, I’ve got to do a better job as head coach, making sure we’re prepared to play, making sure we’re ready to play the right way. Making sure that guys who aren’t, are held accountable. And making sure that we get the right guys on the ice.”St. Louis can take some encouragement knowing that both Toronto losses came at home. The game will also be a homecoming for former Maple Leafs center Tyler Bozak Authentic Pekka Rinne Jersey Kids , who signed as a free agent with the Blues on July 1. He has one goal and one assist in six games this season.“He’s a real good hockey player, real good hockey sense, real good faceoff guy, good in the power play,” Maple Leafs coach Mike Babcock said Friday at practice. “I thought his last year here was his best in the three years that I had him and obviously he’ll be an important part for them.”Bozak played between Pat Maroon and Alexander Steen for the first time in Montreal and that line could remain intact for the game Saturday. They line combined for eight shots on goal.In a Thursday practice in Toronto, two-time All-Star defenseman Jay Bouwmeester was used on the fourth pairing with Jakub Jerabek, leading to speculation that he might not play against the Maple Leafs.“Obviously, we’re considering everything right now,” Yeo said. “Again, the results that we’re getting, we have to consider everything.”Bouwmeester, 35 Roman Josi Jersey , was limited to 35 games last season because of a fractured ankle and a hip injury that resulted in surgery. The Maple Leafs, meanwhile, had more than a winning streak stopped Thursday. Center Auston Matthews had at least two points in each of the first seven games until Thursday when the Maple Leafs were shut out for the first time this season. He has 10 goals and six assists despite being without a goal in his past two games. One of the keys to the Penguins’ success Thursday was that they kept the Maple Leafs on the outside, limiting close-in chances so that many of Toronto’s 38 shots (Pittsburgh took 39) were not dangerous.“I think there are a lot of things that we can improve on,” Matthews said. “It seems like they were just calm, cool, collected out there. They didn’t run around, they just played smart and didn’t force anything and made plays. It seemed like they had us running around quite a bit.”The Maple Leafs were in it until the Penguins scored twice on an empty net.“I think we’ve got to do a little better just sustaining some of the momentum we create,” Tavares said.

PITTSBURGH (AP) Mike Sullivan would love to point to a coaching tactic or some semblance of strategy that explains why the Pittsburgh Penguins are so good in overtime.Only Sullivan can’t. He’s been coaching long enough to know that when there are six just men on the ice and his team happens to have one of the most gifted offensive groups in the NHL , it’s best to just get out of the way.”For the most part, it’s really just about great players making great plays and when our guys have the puck, they’re dynamic,” Sullivan said. The latest proof came midway through the extra period on Monday, when Phil Kessel drew Calgary’s Jon Gillies away from the net and slipped a cross-ice pass to Justin Schultz , who buried it to give the Penguins a 4-3 victory. Schultz’s fourth goal of the season helped the two-time defending Stanley Cup champions improve to 10-1 at home in overtime this season.”We’ve got the players that are so good out there with that much ice, so we enjoy it,” Schultz said. ”We don’t like to go to (overtime) that much, but it’s nice to know that we can get wins.”Evgeni Malkin scored his 37th goal for the Penguins and added an assist. Kris Letang and Chad Ruhwedel also scored for Pittsburgh. Jarry finished with 35 saves as the Penguins pulled within one point of Washington for first in the crowded Metropolitan Division. Tristan Jarry finished with 35 saves, including a breakaway stop on Calgary star Johnny Gaudreau early in overtime.”They got some physical guys, they have a couple bigger guys Vancouver Canucks T-Shirts Womens ,” Jarry said. ”We knew it would be a tough game. I was trying to hold my ground as much as I could.”Mark Giordano, Mikael Backlund and Troy Brouwer scored for the Flames, who outplayed the Penguins for long stretches before dropping their fourth straight. Gillies stopped 28 shots but had no chance when Kessel slid a cross-ice pass to a wide-open Schultz.”We go into overtime and it can be anybody’s game,” Calgary coach Glen Gulutzan said. ”We had a 2-on-0 there that could’ve ended it, but when you’ve got that many dangerous guys on the ice with that much room, somebody’s going to end it. It just happened to be them on that next chance.”The Penguins had dropped five straight to the Flames, including a 2-1 overtime loss in Calgary in November back when they played very much like a team dealing with a Stanley Cup hangover. Four months later, Pittsburgh is again looking like a threat to make a deep playoff run and wasted little time sprinting to a 2-0 lead.Ruhwedel collected his first goal since Dec. 18 on a knuckler from the point 2:10 into the game, and Malkin doubled Pittsburgh’s advantage 55 seconds later when teammate Bryan Rust forced a turnover by Gillies behind the Calgary net. Malkin collected the puck and flipped it across the goal line before Gillies could scramble back into position. The Flames, in the middle of their own fight to stay in the Western Conference playoff mix, tied it before the end of the first. Giordano finished off extended pressure with his 11th of the season and Backlund beautifully deked by Letang before beating Jarry with a backhand for his 13th.Letang put the Penguins back in front with a wrist shot off the rush from the right circle that ripped over Gillies’ right shoulder with 2:59 left in the second. Calgary responded again Vancouver Canucks Hoodies Womens , with T.J. Brodie threading a pass between Ruhwedel’s legs to Brouwer’s awaiting stick. Brouwer had no trouble sending it by Jarry to tie it with 2 seconds left in the period.NOTES: Penguins G Matt Murray skated on Monday morning but remains out indefinitely while dealing with a concussion sustained last week. … Several Penguins used rainbow-colored Pride tape on their sticks during warmups. The sticks will be auctioned by the team’s foundations, with the proceeds going to the ”You Can Play” organization, which promotes inclusion in all sports for LGBTQ athletes. … Calgary scratched Fs Tanner Glass, Chris Stewart and Nick Short as well as D Matt Bartkowski. … The Penguins scratched D Matt Hunwick, Fs Carter Rowney and Zach Aston-Reese and Murray. … Both teams were 0 for 2 on the power play. … Pittsburgh is 13-1 in its last 14 games at PPG Paints Arena.UP NEXTFlames: Continue their three-game trip in Buffalo on Wednesday.Penguins: Visit Philadelphia on Wednesday. Pittsburgh leads the season series 2-0 over its Metropolitan Division rival.— SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) Joe Thornton talked to several teams last summer when he made his first trip to the free-agent market before ultimately deciding to return to San Jose on a one-year deal. This time there was never any doubt.”Obviously there were some teams calling, but I told my agent/brother let’s keep it quiet this year, I want to go back to San Jose,” Thornton said Monday. ”Obviously talking to you guys at the end of the year that’s no secret. I feel this team is just getting better and better. … Our window is always open it seems in San Jose, and it’s a good feeling.”Thornton signed a one-year, $5 million contract on his 39th birthday Vancouver Canucks Hats Womens , taking a $3 million pay cut from the previous year to help make sure the Sharks have the room to add other top players. Thornton had been willing to take even less had John Tavares decided to take San Jose’s offer instead of signing a $77 million, seven-year deal with Toronto on Sunday. But Thornton still believes strongly in the group that general manager Doug Wilson, coach Peter DeBoer and owner Hasso Plattner have put together and feels the pieces are in place for that elusive Stanley Cup run.”It would have been nice to get Johnny, but I think if you look at our team still, Doug and Hasso and Pete, they’ve allowed us to compete every year, and I think there’s no difference again this year,” Thornton said. ”We’re going to compete for a Cup. But yeah, I was going to be flexible and will always try to help out the franchise in that way.”The Sharks also locked up restricted free agent forward Tomas Hertl with a $22.5 million, four-year deal on Monday that buys out the first two years of unrestricted free agency.Hertl took on a bigger role last season after Thornton went down with a season-ending right knee injury Jan. 23. Thornton had torn the ACL and MCL in his left knee the previous season but said he’s ahead of where he was at this point last summer and expects to be 100 percent at the start of training camp.Thornton started slowly last season while recovering from knee surgery but was back near his top form by the end of November. He had 11 goals and 15 assists in his final 28 games before the injury.”I’ve never seen anybody train like this. You look at his birth certificate and it says a number there. But he’s childlike when it comes for his passion and love for the game,” Wilson said. ”He’s had so much time now and was so close to playing that I t6hink he’ll come back way ahead of where he was last year.”Thornton has been the face of the franchise in San Jose since arriving in 2005 Custom Vancouver Canucks Jerseys , helping the team reach three Western Conference finals and one trip the Stanley Cup Final in 2016.He ranks 12th in NHL history with 1,030 assists and is 16th with 1,427 points. With seven more games, Thornton will become the 19th player to reach the 1,500-game mark for a career. The 24-year-old Hertl is just coming into his own after being slowed by knee injuries early in his career. He had a career-high 22 goals to go along with 44 assists this past season and was strong on both ends of the ice.Hertl was even better come playoff time with six goals and three assists in 10 games. He also won 57.7 percent of his faceoffs. The Sharks are counting on more of that kind of play in the future.”I just think his best hockey is ahead of him,” Wilson said. ”He truly wants to be a great player. Watching him in the playoffs this year, I think everybody saw him take that step that not only we expected but he expected of himself.”The Sharks still have one more restricted free agent to sign in forward Chris Tierney.—AP Hockey Writer Stephen Whyno contributed to this story—

England international number eight Ben Morgan has agreed a new contract with Aviva Premiership club Gloucester. China Vans Shoes Wholesale .Gloucester announced 27-year-old Morgans deal ahead of their Premiership clash with high-flying Wasps on Saturday.Morgan, who has won 31 caps and was a member of Englands World Cup squad last year, joined Gloucester from the Scarlets in 2012.Gloucester rugby director David Humphreys said: Ben expressed his desire to stay at the club and we are thrilled that we were able to agree a new deal which will hopefully see him continue to develop even further in a Gloucester shirt. We feel that the back-row is an area of strength for us, and with the addition of Carl Fearns for next season, Ben will be a key part of that unit, bringing real leadership skills to the group.Morgan, meanwhile, told the clubs website: Its great to be part of this club, and its my local club that means a lot to me.I am absolutely over the moon to sign a new deal. I grew up supporting Gloucester, and it is a special place to play.It helps to have that desire and passion for the club, and the feel of the community at this club is a big thing for me, and a big part of my decision to continue at the club. MIAMI -- Who said the days of significant centers are dead in the NBA?Not the 1-0 Miami Heat or the 1-0 Charlotte Hornets, who meet Friday night at AmericanAirlines Arena. It will be the home opener for the Heat, who remade their team largely around 7-foot, 265-pound center Hassan Whiteside, who signed a four-year, $98 million contract extension in July.Whiteside had 18 points, 14 rebounds and four blocks in 31 minutes on Wednesday night, leading Miami to a 108-96 win over the Orlando Magic.I wasnt trying to make a statement, Whiteside said when asked about his first game since signing the initial major contract of his career. I was just playing. This is the first time that the 27-year-old Whiteside has had his name at the top of the marquee, sharing top billing with point guard Goran Dragic. The Heat no longer have the Big Three that won two NBA titles and got them to four championship series in four years. Dwyane Wade bolted to the Chicago Bulls, Chris Bosh is in limbo due to health concerns and LeBron James had previously gone back home to the Cleveland Cavaliers.Over on the Hornets side, they are also relying heavily on a center, 7-2, 270-pound Roy Hibbert, who has been in the spotlight since he was drafted in the first round by the Indiana Pacers in 2008.Hibbert, 29, is a two-time NBA All-Star, but he has bounced around lately, spending last season on a brutal Los Angeles Lakers team before signing this year with Charlotte. In fact, Hibbert signed with the Hornets on the same day Whiteside re-signed with Miami -- July 7.On Wednesday night against the Milwaukee Bucks, Hibbert made his Hornets debut, getting 15 points, nine rebounds, four blocks and three assists. He made 6-of-9 shots from the floor, 3-of-3 from the foul line and grabbed four of his rebounds on the offensive end, giving Charlotte 32 excellent minutes. The Hornets led by as many as 24 points in the third quarter. We just stuck to our game plan, said Hornets point guard Kemba Walker, who had eight assists. We got a lot of stops.Part of the plan for the Hornets, both on Friday night and for the entire season, is to get the ball inside to HIbbert, who had two monster dunks against the Bucks.Charlotte let injury-prone center Al Jefferson go in free agency after a season in which he played just 47 games, including only 18 starts.Hibbert, who played 81 games last season, is much more durable than that. In fact, he has played at least 65 games in each of his eight seasons in the NBA. Vans Shoes Sale. Thats not to say Hibbert has nothing to prove. His scoring average dipped to a career-low 5.9 points last season, perhaps influenced by the train wreck that was the Lakers season. For his career, HIbbert averages 10.6 and 6.6 rebounds. But while Hibbert is looking for a bounce-back year, Whiteside is trying to continue to ascend to what he believes is his rightful place among the games greats. In Heat circles, Whiteside is well known for using any perceived slight as motivation for domination -- such as when he was only third last season in the voting for the NBA Defensive Player of the Year.Whiteside led the NBA last season with 3.7 blocks per game, adding 14.2 points and 11.8 rebounds. He was even better after the All-Star Game, averaging 17.5 points, 13.3 rebounds and 3.4 blocks. Thats why Heat president Pat Riley made re-signing Whiteside his No. 1 offseason priority.Beyond the intriguing center matchup, there are several other storylines to follow for Fridays game:--Hornets small forward Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, who played just seven games last season due to a shoulder injury, had 23 points and 14 rebounds on Opening Night. He will be opposed by Heat small forward Justise Winslow, a first-round pick out of Duke last season who is just beginning to tap into his potential.--Hornets backup center Cody Zeller, who gets by mostly on sheer hustle, missed the entire preseason due to a knee injury. Yet he produced 15 points in 14 minutes on Wednesday, making 5-of-6 shots from the floor.--Hornets power forward Frank Kaminsky, their first-round pick last year, missed the opener due to a strained right foot. His status is undetermined.--Heat shooting guards Josh Richardson (knee) and Wayne Ellington (quad) sat out the opener and likely wont be ready for a while. Dion Waiters, who averaged 9.8 points last season while serving mostly as a backup for the Oklahoma City Thunder, started for Miami at shooting guard while also making his Heat debut.--Miamis other new starter this year is 6-9 forward Luke Babbitt, a career 40.2-percent shooter from three-point range. This is his seventh year in the league, and last season was his career high in scoring (7.0). cheap falcons jerseys cheap ravens jerseys cheap bills jerseys cheap bears jerseys cheap bengals jerseys cheap cowboys jerseys cheap lions jerseys cheap texans jerseys cheap colts jerseys cheap jaguars jerseys cheap chiefs jerseys cheap rams jerseys cheap dolphins jerseys cheap vikings jerseys cheap saints jerseys cheap giants jerseys cheap jets jerseys cheap eagles jerseys cheap steelers jerseys cheap 49ers jerseys ' ' '

MINNEAPOLIS -- Andrei Kirilenko is opting out of the final year of a contract that would have paid him $10 million next season with the Minnesota Timberwolves, making him a free agent. Cheap Jordan 1 . Kirilenko made the decision on Saturday, the deadline that was written into the two-year, $20 million deal he signed last summer, a person with knowledge of the situation told The Associated Press. The person requested anonymity because an official announcement has not been made. In turning down the final year of his contract with the Timberwolves, Kirilenko is instead hoping to get a little extra security with a longer term deal when the market opens at 12:01 a.m. Eastern on July 1. The versatile forward is coming off a rejuvenating year in which he averaged 12.4 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game for the Wolves, his best season in the league since 2005-06. The 32-year-old had more spring in his step after spending the lockout year playing at home in Russia, and he flourished in Rick Adelmans free-flowing system. But Kirilenko also missed 18 games with assorted injuries, one of a number of Timberwolves players who missed significant time last season, the ninth straight year they have missed the playoffs. Kirilenko was largely responsible for the Wolves dramatic improvement on the defensive end, with Adelman enjoying the luxury of being able to put him on every position besides centre, depending on who was the biggest threat on a given night. His ability to pass and move without the ball also made him ideal for Adelmans offence, and the veteran was superb in helping fellow Russian Alexey Shved make the transition to Minnesota for his rookie season last year. New Timberwolves President Flip Saunders started getting an inclination that Kirilenko could opt out at least a week ago, and he made some plans for such a scenario. The Wolves acquired swingman Shabazz Muhammad in a draft-night deal with the Utah Jazz on Thursday night in part to give them some depth at small forward. They also have Derrick Williams on the roster, though he has shown in his first two seasons to be a more natural fit at power forward and could be on the move himself. The Wolves could try to negotiate a longer term deal -- perhaps two or three years -- at a reduced salary to bring Kirilenko back. Or they could use the $10 million theyre saving on his contract to help pay restricted free agent centre Nikola Pekovic, who is expected to get a significant offer on the open market that the Wolves will have the option of matching, and add a veteran shooting guard to a team that finished last in the league in 3-point shooting last season. Kirilenkos decision could leave the Wolves with about $7 million to spend on free agents. O.J. Mayo, Kyle Korver, Kevin Martin, J.J. Redick and Marco Bellinelli all could be free agent targets for the Wolves. They also want to re-sign unrestricted free agent forward Chase Budinger, who would help fill in for Kirilenko. If Kirilenko does go elsewhere, he will undoubtedly be a sought-after veteran. He proved last season that he still had plenty of good basketball left in him after four years of declining production led to his decision to play 2011-12 in Russia. And any team looking for a lockdown defender and willing passer to help make a playoff push could jump at the chance to bring him into the mix. Cheap Air Jordan 1 China . Veteran Brisbane Lions defender Daniel Merrett says he can understand why supporters of the embattled AFL club are staying away in droves. Cheap Carolina Hurricanes Jerseys .Just 10,195 people watched Brisbanes 79-point thumping against Greater Western Sydney on Sunday, the clubs worst-ever crowd at the Gabba. While there were mitigating factors - such as rain and the low levels of support for the Giants in Brisbane - Merrett said players were getting the message.I suppose youre not going to watch your team get beaten every week, are you? Merrett told reporters on Wednesday. All we can do is stick together as a group, train hard and build for the future. If you get caught up in that you can let it affect you.The only way to raise those crowd numbers is by playing good footy.Merrett missed the Giants match due to illness, but is expected to return to the Lions side for Sundays likely wooden spoon playoff against Essendon at Etihad Stadium. The Lions say they wont sack coach Justin Leppitsch if they lose, but a 13th straight defeat, to the suspension-ravaged Bombers would seriously ramp up the pressure on him.Merrett said Brisbane wont be handling the match any differently despite the stakes at hand. Its a way to build the game up this weekend, he said.(But) its no good putting extra emphasis on it.Well prepare the way we always prepare, well train well this week, stick together and be united.Merrett said he felt the scrutiny on Leppitsch, who is contracted to the end of 2017, was unfair.A lot of the performance comes down to the players, and as senior players, we take responsibility for that, he said. The best way the senior players can support our coach is by putting on a good performance this weekend. There is a lot of external noise, and thats all it is.Internally, were still tight, were united. ATLANTA -- Hardly anything ever goes right for Rory McIlroy in the FedEx Cup.McIlroy won two straight FedEx Cup playoff events in 2012 and was the best player in golf only to watch Brandt Snedeker win the Tour Championship to beat him out of the $10 million bonus. Two years ago, he again was the No. 1 seed and was tied for the 54-hole lead until Billy Horschel beat him at East Lake.McIlroy never looked like he had a chance Sunday. He was three shots behind with three holes to play. Nearly two hours later, he poured in a 15-foot birdie putt on the fourth playoff hole to win the Tour Championship and claim the FedEx Cup in the wildest finish of its 10-year history. All it took was a wedge he holed from 137 yards for eagle on the 16th hole and a birdie on the par-5 18th hole for a 6-under 64. Along the way, he needed Dustin Johnson to fade, and the U.S. Open champion did just that with a 73.I needed stuff like that to happen, McIlroy said. But I think after 2012 and 2014, it feels that little bit sweeter that Ive been able to get it done.Nothing was sweeter than No. 16.I guess it all started on 16 in regulation when I holed that wedge, McIlroy said.Kevin Chappell was in the final group behind him and showing no signs of doing anything but winning, especially when Chappell stuffed a shot into 4 feet for birdie on the 16th to build a two-shot lead. Ryan Moore was in the penultimate group alongside McIlroy, and he was busy scrambling for pars until he rolled in a 15-foot birdie putt on the 17th hole, which gave him a share of the lead when Chappell made bogey behind him.Moore and Chappell were tied at 12-under par. McIlroy was at 11 under.Johnson, who never recovered from a tough start on the front nine with some errant tee shots and closed with a 73, was out of it at this point. As long as Moore or Chappell won the Tour Championship, Johnson would win the FedEx Cup.It just didnt work out that way.McIlroy nearly holed his bunker shot on the 18th hole and made a birdie. Moore (64) and Chappell (66) made par, setting up a three-way playoff at East Lake where money was potentially changing hands with each shot.Chappell was eliminated on the first extra hole with a par on the 18th. McIlroy looked as though he would put the finishing touches on this stirring rally with a shot into 6 feet for eeagle on the first playoff hole -- except that he missed the putt, and Moore made a 10-footer for birdie to keep it going. Cheap Toronto Maple Leafs Jerseys. It finally ended where it all started for McIlroy -- on the 16th.Moore still made him work for it, holing a 15-foot par putt that force McIlroy to make his from about the same distance, and he did. McIlroy stiffened his back and screamed at reaching a goal that never looked like a possibility until the end.Just to see that ball drop, and everything thats come together for me this year ... to pull it off was really special, McIlroy said, his voice still hoarse from screaming over so many quality shots, so many clutch moments over the final two hours at East Lake.McIlroy picked up $11.53 million in one day -- the $10 million FedEx Cup bonus and $1.53 million for the Tour Championship, his second victory in three weeks that made him the first player to win four FedEx Cup playoff events.I just wanted to make him earn it for that much money at least, Moore said. I wanted him to make the putt. It was nice to get up and make it, but you give a great player like him that many opportunities, and hes going to make one eventually.Moore had quite the consolation prize -- he was the final captains pick for the Ryder Cup later Sunday night.Johnson had to settle for a $3 million bonus, though that was OK with him. He realized a Moore victory would bring him the FedEx Cup, and that would have been fine.It didnt feel right because I didnt win the Tour Championship, Johnson said. Thats why I was here to win. I knew I controlled my own destiny. The real heartache belonged to Chappell, who played superbly for so long until one tee shot on the 17th tumbled into the nasty rough and led to bogey. Hawthorn ruckman Jonathon Ceglar will miss the rest of the AFL season after scans confirmed he has a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL). Cheap Jordan 5 For Sale .He faces surgery after suffering the injury during the Hawks 25-point loss to West Coast on Friday night.Football manager Chris Fagan conceded it was a big blow to the Hawks, who have surrendered top spot on the ladder as they chase a fourth straight premiership.Jons been an important player for us and has really stepped up in the absence of David Hale this season, Fagan said. Its very disappointing for Jon, particularly so close to finals.Hes a resilient bloke and I have no doubt he will be determined to attack his rehab and get back to footy as soon as he can.Whilst Jon plays an important role in the side, we are confident others will take their opportunities and step up to cover his absence. WASHINGTON -- The Washington Nationals had a decision to make before hosting the Cincinnati Reds in the series finale on Sunday at Nationals Park. And the Nationals were in the situation of having to choose between using unbeaten pitcher Stephen Strasburg (10-0, 2.90) or top pitching prospect Lucas Giolito (0-0, 0.00) to start against the last-place Reds. That is a choice that many teams wish they had to make. Its not up to me, its up to how Strasburg feels, manager Dusty Baker before Saturdays game. Right now hes feeling pretty good, but the decision will probably be made tomorrow. It might be a gametime decision. After the game, Baker said: Were getting one of our main men Stras back tomorrow. He can put us back in sync for the remainder of the first half.Strasburg, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2009 draft, went on the disabled list June 26, retroactive to June 16, with an upper back strain. If he comes off the DL to pitch Sunday, the Nationals will have to make a roster move. His place in the rotation was filled on Tuesday by Giolito, another former first-round pick who went four innings and allowed just one hit against the New York Mets in a rain-shortened outing. It was the first big league appearance for Giolito, considered the top pitching prospect in the minors this year. The big right-hander from Los Angeles had never pitched above Double-A Harrisburg before he was called up to start against the Mets. One scenario would be for the Nationals to send Giolito to Triple-A Syracuse, then call him back up later in the year.On any given night, he has three well-above-average pitches working for him, Mark Scialabba, the director of player development for the Nationals, said of Giolito. Along with his fastball and curve, whicch are well documented, his changeup has become a weapon he can use against both left- and right-handed hitters. Cheap Air Jordan 5. Hes a tremendous student of the game and is striving to become a complete pitcher with the ability to field his position and hold runners well. The Nationals and general manager Mike Rizzo are not hesitant to dip into their minor league system to aid the 25-man roster.Last June, right-hander Joe Ross -- who started against the Reds on Saturday night -- was summoned from Double-A Harrisburg to join the rotation. He was later sent back to Triple-A Syracuse, then was called back up to Washington to end the season. The Reds will send lefty John Lamb (1-4, 4.60) to the mound on Sunday. He has never faced the Nationals.Cincinnati has begun an 11-day, 10-game road trip in rough fashion after a 13-4 loss Thursday and then a 4-3 loss in 14 innings on Friday. They came through with a 9-4 win in 10 innings late Saturday. It was the first extra-inning loss at home for Washington after nine such wins over the past two years. The Reds were 7-2 against the Nationals over the last two series before the four-game series began here Thursday.Manager Bryan Price had to juggle his lineup on Saturday. He dropped second baseman Brandon Phillips to the No. 6 spot in the order against Washington. Its just trying to get him back to where he is really feeling comfortable at the plate, Price said of Phillips.Joey Votto was a late scratch from the lineup just before the game with a sore right shoulder. INDEPENDENCE, Ohio -- LeBron James says he has lost all respect for Phil Jackson after the New York Knicks president characterized James business associates as a posse in a recent interview with ESPN.Zero, James said Tuesday, when asked if he had any previous ties to Jackson. No relationship at all. I had nothing but respect for him as a coach for what he was able to do. Obviously he was at the helm of [the team featuring] my favorite player of all time [Michael Jordan], and also being there growing up and watching him with the Lakers, but I got nothing for him.Jackson, in an interview with ESPNs Jackie MacMullan published this week, made the statement while revisiting James departure from the Miami Heat to the Cleveland Cavaliers in the summer of 2014 and what it meant for the tenure of Heat president Pat Riley. It had to hurt when they lost LeBron, Jackson said. That was definitely a slap in the face. But there were a lot of little things that came out of that. When LeBron was playing with the Heat, they went to Cleveland, and he wanted to spend the night. They dont do overnights. Teams just dont. So now [coach Erik] Spoelstra has to text Riley and say, What do I do in this situation? And Pat, who has iron-fist rules, answers, You are on the plane. You are with this team. You cant hold up the whole team because you and your mom and your posse want to spend an extra night in Cleveland.I always thought Pat had this really nice vibe with his guys. But something happened there where it broke down. I do know LeBron likes special treatment. He needs things his way.James business associate Maverick Carter took issue with Jacksons statement, telling ESPN on Monday that he felt compelled to respond, citing the recent debate around coded language. Its the word posse and the characterization I take offense to, Carter said. If he would have said LeBron and his agent, LeBron and his business partners or LeBron and his friends, thats one thing. Yet because youre young and black, he can use that word. Were grown men.James elaborated on the subject Tuesday morning.Ive been in the league for 14 years and from the beginning two years in, I felt like I wanted to put my guys in positions of power, give those guys an opportunity to better themselves, James said. You know, in the beginning we were highly criticized and I was highly criticized about what I wanted to do to help some guys around me become very successful in business. It just sucks that now at this point having one of the biggest businesses you can have both on and off the floor, having a certified agent in Rich Paul, having a certified business partner in Maverick Carter thats done so many great business [deals], that the title for young African-Americans is the word posse.Carter oversees the entertainment aspects of James off-court interests; Paul represents James as his agent and runs the Klutch Sports Group, which counts many other NBA players as clients; and Randy Mims is the executive administrator of player programs and logistics for the Cavs.We see the success that we have, but then there is always someone that lets you know still how far we still have to go as African-Americans, James said. But it wont stop us from doing what we need to do as a group, he added. Were not going to let Phil Jacksons comments stop us from doing what we need to do. It just gives us extra motivation. But its still sad.James said he didnt think Jackson would use the term posse to describe a powerful sports figure who isnt African-American.If you go and read the definition of what the word posse is, its not what Ive built over my career, James said. Its not what I stand for, its not what my family stands for. I believe the only reason he used that word is because he sees young African-Americans trying to make a difference.Jackson hasnt responded directly to James or Carters comments, but on Tuesday he did retweet a post from?Knicks Vice President off Player Personnel Clarence Gaines Jr. Discount Football Jerseys. about the Posse Foundation, a college access and youth leadership development program. In the same interview with MacMullan, Jackson said he regularly meets with Knicks star Carmelo Anthony to strengthen their relationship as executive and player.Anthony, one of James closest friends in the league, also addressed the issue Tuesday.I know [James] and I dont think he would just say something to be saying it, Anthony said. Whatever was said, Im pretty sure it hit home and he responded to it. I dont know exactly what was said.Anthony said he doesnt think Jackson meant to use the word posse in a racial connotation, but he also didnt want to speak on Jacksons behalf.James and the Cavs play the Knicks at Madison Square Garden on Dec. 7, in what now figures to be an even more highly anticipated matchup. Its not surprising, James said. If [Jackson] says it out to the media, you can only imagine what he says when the camera is not on him or the headset or whatever you guys record on. Just got a lot more work to do.James was asked if there was any correlation between Donald Trump winning the presidential election and Jacksons sentiments.I dont know, James said. It could be a reach. But at the same time ... it could not be a reach. You dont know what the direct correlation is, but I know how hard I work, I know how much I sacrifice, I know I show up to work every single day and I know I put my team and every franchise Ive been on -- from the Heat to here -- before me because Ive only cared about one thing. And thats winning.Ive tried to put my guys in position to where they can walk in a meeting and go places and they dont need me because they got to a point where theyve done their homework, theyve studied on what they want to do and they can hold a meeting without me because of the respect that they have and the knowledge they have. Thats just 12 years of hard work and dedication that we put to each other. I know Phils in a position of power in our sport, but to criticize me and my guys over that is nonsense.James has played in six consecutive NBA Finals and has three championship rings. Jackson won 11 championships as a coach and two as a player. On Tuesday, James sounded hurt to be scrutinized instead of being embraced by another luminary in league history. If anybody needed advice about the game or wanted to talk about the game, Ive been nothing but open, James said. But it seems like when my name is involved with other people thats helped build the game, its like, How can we criticize what he does on and off the floor? instead of trying to help me.James coach in Cleveland, Tyronn Lue, has played under Jackson, but said hes not going to broker any sort of meeting between the two.Its not something I talked about so if they want to meet they can meet or whatever. Im not in that, said Lue, who added that hes focused only on making the Cavs a better team.James was visibly perturbed with the subject matter for the 10-minute media session. He later told a reporter he would have had much more to say on the subject, but he wanted to stay in a positive state of mind.He added that he wanted to be able to still get his nap in before the Cavs game against the Toronto Raptors later that night with first place in the Eastern Conference on the line.My whole goal is while I have this platform and this muscle that I have right now is how can I better the youth that looks at me every single day and sees what I do and sees what I say and sees the way I walk and talk and what I wear and use it as a positive way to get out of the situation theyre in, James said. Im not going to be that guy that ever downplays somebody or tries to knock someone off just [to] feel better about myself.ESPNs Ian Begley contributed to this report. cheap falcons jerseys cheap ravens jerseys cheap bills jerseys cheap bears jerseys cheap bengals jerseys cheap cowboys jerseys cheap lions jerseys cheap texans jerseys cheap colts jerseys cheap jaguars jerseys cheap chiefs jerseys cheap rams jerseys cheap dolphins jerseys cheap vikings jerseys cheap saints jerseys cheap giants jerseys cheap jets jerseys cheap eagles jerseys cheap steelers jerseys cheap 49ers jerseys ' ' '

Wholesale Nike MLB Jerseys .The two are scheduled to fight for a second time this weekend, at UFC 202 inside T-Mobile Arena. The welterweight bout is a rematch of a fight at UFC 196 in March. Diazs camp, including his older brother and UFC welterweight Nick, immediately jumped on stage, and security was forced to break it up.The two were at it again Wednesday. After McGregor (19-3) arrived at the news conference approximately 30 minutes late, Diaz (19-10) decided to walk out.Diaz and McGregor jawed at each other from a distance as Diaz and his camp of about 10 left the theater. The game will tell you what to do.Westbrook has sparked a six-game winning streak by the Thunder and reached double figures in all three categories in half of their 22 games.By contrast, Jordan had 15 triple-doubles for the entire 1988-89 season.Obviously, the league hasnt seen something like this in a long, long time, Thunder coach Billy Donovan said.Westbrook kept his streak alive with plenty of time to spare. He had 15 points and 11 rebounds when he picked up his 10th assist with 6:20 left in the third quarter. He finished with 27 second-half points to send the Hawks to their seventh straight loss and 10th defeat in the last 11 games. Its the longest losing streak for the Hawks since they dropped eight in a row in February 2014.Coach Mike Budenholzer decided to shake things up, sending Kyle Korver to the bench and putting Thabo Sefolosha in the starting lineup. Ive got to move on to the next play, the next game.KORVERS NEW ROLEKorver played more than 31 minutes and seemed to thrive in his new role as a backup. He finished with 15 points on 5-of-9 shooting, knocking down three of them beyond the arc. It was his most points in a game since Nov. 22.Korver had averaged 6.6 points over his last seven games, which led to his benching.MONSTER JAMOladipo wasnt afraid to take on Dwight Howard in the lane.During the second quarter, the 6-foot-4 Thunder guard drove the baseline and slammed one over Atlantas 6-11 center, rocking the rim and drawing gasps from the crowd.Oladipo savored the moment, pumping his fists, stomping his feet and posing briefly in the lane even as the Hawks took off the other way.RECRUITING DWIGHTDonovan made a recruiting pitch to Howard while coaching at Florida.During his pregame chat with the media, the Oklahoma City coach recounted a visit to Howard and his father at Southwest Atlanta Christian Academy.Donovan quickly gave up any hope of getting Howard to attend college. All I had to do was watch one AAU game and then I stopped recruiting him immediately, he quipped.Howard, of course, went straight from high school to the NBA in the days before the rules required at least one year of college. JOLIET, Ill. Wholesale Air Max Sale Outlet . -- Kyle Busch put his 2016 wins to good use Friday. He used them to win a pole. The top seed in the Chase for the third time in his career, Busch for the first time enters the postseason as the defending champion. He believes the confidence earned by winning the Sprint Cup can help as he tries to earn back-to-back championships. We have a lot of expectations on us, but I feel as though being able to win the championship last year it sort of solidified my career a little bit more, Busch said. [It] also gave us the opportunity to know that were a championship team and we can do this.Weve just got to make sure that things kind of go our way and youve got to have a little bit of luck on your side in order to get there to the end.The key to Busch winning the 2015 title was his allowing the Chase to come to him. He didnt run up front all that much as he led more than 20 laps in the Chase-opening race and then not again until leading 41 on the way to the win in the championship event at Homestead, Florida. He did what he had to do to advance and then capitalized on the opportunity. That will be his goal again starting Sunday in the Chase-opening race at Chicagoland Speedway. He will start from the pole as qualifying was canceled because rain washed out the initial practice scheduled for early Friday afternoon. All of the 16 Chase drivers will line up 1 to 16, with Busch and Brad Keselowski -- the two drivers with four wins this year -- on the front row.Anything can happen, Busch said. We could have a bad car to start off the race and we could fade real quick and well have to fight our way back. Hopefully that doesnt happen. The pole will give him the coveted first pit stall at pit out position, which could be key at Chicagoland, often a track position affair. Busch just hopes he can put it to good use -- it could be a wild start with drivers who would have qualified better starting further back because they lined up by points. With all the Chase guys starting up front all together, that certainly is going to be an interesting situation that all of us are going to be right on top of each other to fire off, Busch said. Youre going to see some guys that are deeper in the field that will have some speed. It will be interesting to see what happens there and what the Chase guys do and how many of them dont have the speed they need.Busch is keeping himself busy on the track this weekend. He is competing in all three national series events. The truck race Friday night -- which he won -- was his last in that series of the year. In addition to the Xfinity Series race Saturday, he has races coming up at Dover, Kansas and Phoenix left on that series schedule. Is that good?Yes and no, Busch said. It could go both ways.Busch will have to just take things as they come if he wants to find himself with a shot at Homestead. Last year, after missing 11 races because of injury, he felt he was playing with house money in the Chase.Hell try to carry that feeling again.Youve got a different or a better mindset of being able to race for a championship after once accomplishing one because you knew what it took to accomplish that and last year it was not all that stressful, Busch said.We just kind of let it play out and be as it was and we were going to be happy with the results no matter what, so youve kind of got to do the same thing this time around and let fate be with you. Having already announced that the race will start May 9 with three stages in Northern Ireland and Ireland and finish in Trieste on June 1, the rest of the route was unveiled Monday. Esa Lindell and Rasmus Ristolainen replied for Finland (1-1-0) Lindell opened the scoring for Finland just 41 seconds into the game, but the hosts quickly regained their composure and tied the score less than four minutes later on Wennbergs first of the game. Germany will host this seasons bobsled and skeleton world championships, which were pulled out of Russia after numerous competitors considered a boycott in response to that nations widespread doping program. Cheap Air Max Plus Shoes .Koenigssee was the track selected by the International Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation for the championships, which will be held Feb. 13-26 -- even though some nations felt they could be moved a week earlier. Koenigssee will also host a weekend of World Cup racing in January.Sochi lost the hosting rights last week in the fallout of the Russian doping scandal. The track at Krasnaya Polyana was used for the 2014 Sochi Olympics, which World Anti-Doping Agency investigator Richard McLaren concluded was corrupted by a state-backed doping program. That led to a number of athletes and teams talking boycott. For me personally, Im just happy that it was moved and we will still get to have a world championships with full participation from all nations, said U.S. skeleton slider Matt Antoine, who was going to boycott if the event was in Russia as scheduled. I still want to compete in the world championships. I just wasnt going to do it in Russia.Koenigssee has a history of stepping in as a replacement site. The 2011 world championships were originally awarded to Cortina dAmpezzo, Italy, then moved to Koenigssee two years before the event because of track concerns. This time, they are moving with worlds less than two months away -- an unprecedented scramble following an unprecedented scandal. The Russians have said they will not boycott worlds, even going as far as to say that they understood why the IBSF made the decision. Many athletes cited the integrity of the doping process as their primary concern about competing at the worlds in Russia, especially after the second McLaren report was released showing the depth of the doping program there.McLarens report showed that some Russian gold medalists from the Sochi Games were tainted by doping. Russia won gold medals in two-man bobsled, four-man bobsled and mens skeleton at the Olympics, though none of the athletes who got those victories has been implicated by any known positive or tampered-with tests. We will come and prove that we are able to fight at any championship, Russian Bobsled Federation president Alexander Zubkov, a winner of two gold medals at the Sochi Games, told reporters from Russia last week.Park City, Utah, was also under consideration to host. PETERSBURG, Fla. CINCINNATI -- Billy Hamilton was very matter-of-fact about his latest impressive play, one that turned the game when it was still close.Hamilton robbed the Cardinals of a potential two-run hit in the fourth inning, and the Cincinnati Reds pulled away to a 9-1 victory over the St. Louis Cardinals on Saturday.Zack Cozart hit a pair of doubles during run-scoring innings that included St. Louis misplays, and Hamiltons catch-and-throw wiped out a Cardinals rally in the early going. Its my job to catch the ball, Hamilton said. If a great catch happens, it happens. I dont go out there to make great catches. With runners on first and second, Hamilton caught up with Alberto Rosarios fly to the warning track, smacked into the wall after making the catch, and threw back to the infield to double up a surprised Greg Garcia at first base to end the fourth.Garcia made a good, aggressive move, Cardinals manager Mike Matheny said. If the ball comes off the wall at all, hes going to score. He (Hamilton) closed a lot of space in a hurry and made a great play.Pinch hitter Ramon Cabreras two-run single in the seventh inning put the Reds ahead 4-1. Cincinnati used four walks by Jerome Williams to score five times in the eighth, capped by Tucker Barnharts bases-loaded double.Dan Straily (11-7) gave up three hits, including Jedd Gyorkos homer, and a career-high seven walks in only 5 2/3 innings. Gyorko hit his career-high 25th home run, 18 since the All-Star break.I didnt know I had (walked) that many until I came in here, Straily said. Its baseball. Holt scored on Cozarts two-out double.Another double by Cozart helped the Reds load the bases in the fifth, and Rosarios passed ball let in a run for a 2-1 lead.OOPSHamilton ran into umpire Angel Hernandez as he rounded first base and thought about trying for second on an errant throw in the seven the seventh inning. INDIANAPOLIS -- Indianapolis Colts defensive coordinator Ted Monachino has been diagnosing problems all season. Cheap Nike Basketball Jerseys .After six troubling games, hes ready to start seeing real solutions when Indy visits Tennessee this weekend..Were nowhere near where we need to be. We havent played winning football often enough, Monachino said Thursday. Weve had flashes of really good play in several games. (Weve) gone stretches where weve played well. But the 60-minute idea is, you have to start fast, youve got to be able to maintain momentum throughout the course of a game and you have to finish like youve never finished and we havent been able to do that. His blunt assessment, of course, will be welcomed by weary fans, who have already become frustrated with a seemingly constant barrage of penalties, missed tackles and generally poor play that have plagued the Colts (2-4).It was never more evident than Sunday night, when Brock Osweiler and the Houston Texans drove for back-to-back touchdowns in the final seven minutes of regulation to erase a 14-point deficit and then moved into position for the winning field on their first possession of overtime.Along the way, there were plenty of mistakes.Monachino blamed himself for not getting his four best pass rushers on the field immediately when the Texans drove for their first TD. The reason: Monachino thought Houston would still mix things up instead of going immediately to the hurry-up offense. But the bigger problem was all those missed tackles that couldnt be hidden on game tape.Every individual guy has to make up their mind that they are going to use what has happened in the past and learn from it and make it push them forward, cornerback Darius Butler said.Theres really no other choice.Only Jacksonville, Detroit and the New York Jets and Giants have fewer takeaways Indy (six).Only San Francisco, Carolina and Cleveland have allowed more points than the Colts (176).Only Oakland and New Orleans have allowed more yards per game than Indy (411.2), and only the Jets and Lions have allowed a higher completion percentage to opposing quarterbacks than the Colts (69.0).The gory details only tell part of the tale, though. Its disappointing and thats an understatement, inside linebacker DQwell Jackson said. It isnt effort, it isnt guys not being in the right place, its technique and knowing all 11 are going to be on the same page.Sure, some stats could be explained by an injury rash that left the secondary and defensive line so depleted that the Colts spent some weeks playing almost exclusively with backups. But now, with most of those missing players back in action, the troubles have continued. After playing their best 3 1/2 quarters of the season Sunday night, the Colts couldnt close out the victory because Houston found ways to gash the defense.Perhaps the most frustrating part is that Monachino and Colts head coach Chuck Pagano were both hired in Indianapolis so they could put together a defense that emulated Baltimores aggressive, ball-hawking style. When Pagano was asked Wednesday to describe how he wants Indys defense to look, he responded: A defense that stops the run, is very, very aggressive and attacking. A defense that wreaks havoc and makes it very, very difficult to operate as an offense and dictates the tempo. So far, that hasnt come close to happening -- even though Monachino and his players will keep working toward that goal. You put it on the tape, Monachino said. Youre brutally honest and you make sure that everybody understands that this isnt how we win the game.Game notes Quarterback Andrew Luck (ankle and right shoulder) did limited work Thursday, his usual light day of practice, and Pro Bowl receiver T.Y. Hilton (hip) did not practice Thursday after doing limited work Wednesday. ... Other players who missed Thursdays practice were: Butler (calf and hamstring), Jackson (rest) tight end Dwayne Allen (sprained right ankle), defensive end Henry Anderson (knee), receiver Phillip Dorsett (foot and hamstring), defensive tackle Zach Kerr (ankle), outside linebacker Curt Maggitt (ankle), left guard Jack Mewhort (triceps) and receiver Donte Moncrief (fractured shoulder blade). ... CHAPEL HILL, N.C. -- Mitch Trubiskys wait is finally over. The quarterback will make his first career start Saturday for No. 22 North Carolina in the opener against No. 18 Georgia in Atlanta. It comes after two years of preparation with only spot game action and plenty of watching from the sideline. Its exciting just because I guess the label comes with it, Trubisky said. Im going out there as a starter. Im one of the leaders of this offense, so I do feel theres more responsibility on my shoulders, which makes it more special for me.Its the same offense. I do have a good amount of experience, so I think that give me confidence.Trubisky, a 6-foot-3 junior from Mentor, Ohio, arrived in January 2013 as one of head coach Larry Fedoras first recruits as he installed a fast-paced spread offense at UNC. He was the guy many expected to be the Tar Heels long-term quarterback once starter Bryn Renners career was done, but he instead ended up playing behind dual-threat Marquise Williams for two seasons. As Williams moved the chains and directed an offense that set school records during an 11-win season, Trubisky kept working and waiting. Now with Williams gone, Fedora named Trubisky the starter in the spring so he could come into preseason camp as the unquestioned leader. Now its time to see what Trubisky will do in a game in that role.Im convinced hes our guy, so theres no question about that, Fedora said. Coming off the bench in a relief role and being the starter, there is a difference there. There will be a bit of a learning curve for him in that aspect. You dont have time to ease into the game. Youve got to roll. But his role doesnt change. Its take care of the football and lets movee the chains. Basketball Jerseys China. Thats it.New Georgia coach Kirby Smart doesnt look at Trubisky as a newcomer. He figures the past two years of experience have prepared Trubisky to play Saturday.Hes probably the best quarterback that nobody knows about, because in my mind its almost like hes a returning starter because of what he played early in the year, Smart said, and the guy does a really good job with offense.Trubisky has thrown just 125 career passes, but he has responded in a handful of key moments despite coming in cold off the bench for a single play. Two years ago, he came on when Williams had to leave the game after losing his helmet on a play and threw the winning 16-yard touchdown pass with 4:05 left in a 28-27 win at Virginia. Then last year, he did it two more times when Williams again lost his helmet on a play -- first by throwing a first-quarter touchdown pass at North Carolina State, then by throwing a third-down pass to move the chains against then-No. 1 Clemson in the Atlantic Coast Conference championship game. The difference now is those moments will come in much more than one-snap chances.I dont really feel I have anything to prove to anyone else except my teammates who have always believed in me to this point, who have stuck by me in thick and thin, Trubisky said. I just want to go out there and do it for them. Theyve seen me do it in practice so I want to go out and do it for them on Saturdays.---Follow Aaron Beard on Twitter at and the APs college football site at cheap falcons jerseys cheap ravens jerseys cheap bills jerseys cheap bears jerseys cheap bengals jerseys cheap cowboys jerseys cheap lions jerseys cheap texans jerseys cheap colts jerseys cheap jaguars jerseys cheap chiefs jerseys cheap rams jerseys cheap dolphins jerseys cheap vikings jerseys cheap saints jerseys cheap giants jerseys cheap jets jerseys cheap eagles jerseys cheap steelers jerseys cheap 49ers jerseys ' ' '

The first Call of Duty LAN event of the new year and CoD: Infinite Warfare, Major League Gaming Las Vegas, kicked off on Friday with more than 160 teams competing for their shot at the $100,000 prize. Cheap New Orleans Saints Jerseys . Out of the 12 teams that competed in the group stage portion of the event, a staggering eight of them finished with a 1-1 record, showing how close the skill levels are early in the season. Lets take a look at just a few of the teams that found themselves tied up on the first day of MLG Las Vegas.Inconsistent FaZe ClanFaZe Clan entered MLG Las Vegas on a high note, looking dominant in a win at the PSX Invitational earlier in December. So it seemed only natural that they would beat the unheralded organization Gosu Crew to start group play in Pool A. Instead, Gosu Crew had arguably the biggest upset of the tournament with its 3-2 series win over FaZe. While James Clayster Eubanks has continued his hot start in the new season, repeatedly picking up critical kills throughout the match, Ian Enable Wyatt and the rest of the FaZe Clan were unable to pick up the remaining slack to help push the team to victory. That shocking loss only seemed to fuel FaZe Clan however, as the team managed to grab a 3-1 series win over the defending 2016 world champions Team EnVyUs in its second match of day 1. After choking away a 100-point lead in the initial Hardpoint, FaZe Clan dominated the rest of the series, with captain Clayster leading the way. Between sniping, slaying and even dunking, the team captain of FaZe refused to let his team lose, keeping the squads championship bracket hopes alive for another day.Grey Skies for Cloud9For Cloud9, a team still looking to prove it belongs in the elite category of competitive Call of Duty, Fridays matches could not have gone much worse. While it did manage to earn a 1-1 record heading into day 2, it could have been better considering C9 started both matches with a 2-0 lead. However, a reverse sweep by Team Kaliber in the first match, and a near reverse sweep by Echo Fox in the second match surely put some doubt in the minds of Cloud9 faithful as to whether the team can close out its opposition. Expecting to face one of several strong teams coming out of the Open Bracket, Cloud9 is by no means assured a chance to move out of Pool C, especially if it plays to the level it did in day 1.A Hole in the Green WallThe theme of Fridays action was undoubtedly inconsistency, as Pool Bs OpTic Gaming joined a long list of teams who were unable to string together two strong performances in a row. After trouncing Revenge in its first match of the day 3-0, the Green Wall found its hands full against a motivated Rise Nation squad. Despite a dominating performance in its earlier Search and Destroy match against Revenge, OpTic failed to continue that trend against Rise, losing both of its S&D rounds in the 3-2 series defeat. Truthfully, the results could have been much different had Seth Scump Abner been able to capitalize on any of his one-vs-one opportunities. As it stands, OpTic Gamings lack of success in S&D will leave the team with a critical match against their groups TBD Open Bracket team. Should it lose, the Green Wall could be in a position to miss advancing from the group entirely.Starting at 5pm ET on Saturday, the Open Bracket will decide the final teams to join pools and pool play will finish. The championship bracket will begin around 10:30pm ET the same day. Cheap Jacksonville Jaguars Jerseys . Number values assigned are out of five with five being the best performance. Henrik Lundqvist - 4 - A strong game. He was focused early on and had to fight traffic and pressure all game long. The Horton goal was a tough break where the puck bounced back to him. On the Krug goal, Boyle was in his lane screening him, and the Seguin goal he made a great original save. Loved the way he was working to push rebounds past oncoming traffic. It was noticeable in this game. Tuukka Rask - 2 - A tough game. He fell on the Hagelin goal, was slow on his exchange with Chara on the Stepan goal. He has set the bar very high for himself playing so well in the playoffs, just not a very sharp game for him. The game winner was a nice redirection in front, not much chance as he scrambled to find it on the seam play. Noticed the rangers are really targeting his blocker side. Jimmy Howard - 5 – He was brilliant and aggressive all game long. His glove was locked in and tracked the puck really well. Big save on the sharp breakaway was about the posittioning – Howard had taken ice and not given the shooter anything. Cheap Arizona Cardinals Jerseys. On the big save on Bolland, it was more of a Jonathan Quick lunge across and forward that he came up with, took the angle up approach on the puck, and it came back on the ice to the right pad. Good read. Corey Crawford - 4 - Played well. He didnt have much of a chance on the Kindl goal, as he was screened well by Abdelkader. One thing he was very strong at on Thursday was his rebound control, really took ice, planted his feet and let the puck come to him. Jonathan Quick - 5 – A money goalie on Thursday. He was not bombarded with shots, but the Sharks had some Grade-A chances and he had the answer. A left shoulder save on Thorton was great, but his best trait all night long was he fought for his sight lines to find the puck through screens. His biggest save was on Pavelski in the last minute. Antti Niemi - 4 - His strongest play on Thursday was his ice coverage, no better save in the game than his lateral push and flexibility display on a Jeff Carter wrap-around. Had to battle through traffic and net crashing all night, only goals that beat him were through bodies and bounces. cheap falcons jerseys cheap ravens jerseys cheap bills jerseys cheap bears jerseys cheap bengals jerseys cheap cowboys jerseys cheap lions jerseys cheap texans jerseys cheap colts jerseys cheap jaguars jerseys cheap chiefs jerseys cheap rams jerseys cheap dolphins jerseys cheap vikings jerseys cheap saints jerseys cheap giants jerseys cheap jets jerseys cheap eagles jerseys cheap steelers jerseys cheap 49ers jerseys ' ' '

A group of 18 players patched together and coached by former Montreal Impact player Patrick Leduc will begin play Sunday in the International Tournament of Peoples and Cultures in Marseille, France. The week-long event has teams from provinces and regions that are not independent --although some wish to be -- but feel unique enough to have their own teams. The other squads are from Tibet, Iraqi Kurdistan, Aram in Syria, Western Sahara, the northern Indian regions of Ladahk and Nagaland and the host French region of Provence. "Its the first time that a senior male team (from Quebec) will play at the international level," said Yannick Saint-Germain, president of the team that calls itself Les Quebecois. "We have under-14 or under-16 teams that have played against France or Mexico, but as seniors, its the first time. "Its an historical moment for us, and I hope it wont be the last tournament for us." Leduc scrambled to find players whose clubs were willing to release them in mid-season and ended up with some decent talent in former Impact players Reda Agourram, Alex Suprenant and Kevin Cossette, former FC Edmonton member Fabrice Lassonde and others. Sovereigntists in Quebec have pushed for a "national" hockey team to play against Canada and other countries, but it has never come close to happening. Saint-Germain turned to soccer, where there is an international body called the Non-Federated Board overseeing soccer among cultures and regions that are not members of the sports world governing body FIFA. He attended the Viva World Cup, or non-FIFA world cup, last year in Kurdistan. Now he hopes to enter the Quebec team in next years tournament in Lapland. "Im not the only one who has dreamed of having a national team in hockey or soccer or any sport," said St-Germain. "Many people think about it. "I wanted to see if it was feasible. I Googled to see if there were other non-independent states with national teams and I discovered theres a lot." Zanzibar, and island off the coast of Tanzania in east Africa, for example. Or North Cyprus, which lost to Kurdistan in last years non-FIFA World Cup final. Saint-Germain and Leduc said the teams mission is cultural rather than political, but Quebecs independence movement is solidly behind it. The team is partly funded by the sovereigntist Parti Quebecois government and has backing from the ultra-nationalist St-Jean-Baptiste Society. The schedule includes a game against Tibet on June 24, Quebecs national holiday. "There are a lot of non-independent nations that play internationally in their confederations, like Puerto Rico, for example," said Saint-Germain. "As I say, football independence has nothing to do with political independence. "Its two different things. Of course people who are for the independence of Quebec are very happy about this project, and I understand that, but theres no relation. You can be a province and play. Ontario or New Brunswick could play, why not?" Leduc said the team haas not taken a political position. Jordan 13 Cheap China. "We didnt base our selection on whether you vote for the Parti Quebecois or the Liberals," he said. "I have francophones, anglophones, allophones, but I only wanted to know if they were forward, midfielder or defender. "Ive realized also that whether they vote blue or red, it doesnt matter. Theyre proud to represent Quebec. A 25-year-old player is really happy to be part of a select team and to play at the elite level once again in his career." It was a proud moment to put on the blue and white shirt with the fleur-de-lys on the front for Cossette, who plays semipro in Quebec City. "At 16, I played for Quebec in a Canadian championship, but to represent it at the senior level and to play with the best in Quebec is a source of pride," he said. "Im completely a Quebecer. "I have no other nationality." Tommy Lucas, the bilingual former captain of the McGill Redmen, has no problem with it. "Its my home and its always been my home," he said. "My parents are from England but I was born here. "Especially Montreal, this is where I belong. Im excited to represent Quebec. I feel a strong sense of pride and thats definitely going to help me perform during the tournament." The team is not sanctioned by the Quebec Soccer Federation, which was in the spotlight last week for its controversial decision to ban turbans and other religious headgear, only to rescind the order when FIFA clarified its rules. The QSF is affiliated with FIFA through the Canadian Soccer Association. Leduc said they approached the federation for support and found them "ambivalent. "In future, maybe long term, wed like to be sanctioned by the federation and play official games, whether it be against teams like Catalonia or other regions, or official games. Haiti is coming here this summer, so why not have a Quebec team play them?" The players gathered for one last fundraiser Tuesday night at a bistro called Massila, the ancient name for Marseille, which was designated by the European Union as European Capital of Culture for 2013. They held their first practice later that night. They wont have much of a budget. The trip will cost about $40,000, with the team staying in a university dorm and getting around on public transit. But they hope to do well on the pitch, even if they have no idea of the level of play of most opponents. "I expect varying levels," said Leduc. "I expect Provence will be a tough game. "Kurdistan I know will be a really tough team, but I dont know how strong Tibet will be. Its fun that theyre participating." It will be a grind. Quebec opens with games on consecutive days against Western Sahara, Tibet and Provence. The semifinals are on June 27 with the final the following day. There are consolation games for those that dont make the semis. They are entering the unknown, but Agourram was adamant it is not vacation and they will give their best on the pitch. "We know nothing about the teams were going to play against, but I think we have a good team and Im confident well have good results," he said. cheap falcons jerseys cheap ravens jerseys cheap bills jerseys cheap bears jerseys cheap bengals jerseys cheap cowboys jerseys cheap lions jerseys cheap texans jerseys cheap colts jerseys cheap jaguars jerseys cheap chiefs jerseys cheap rams jerseys cheap dolphins jerseys cheap vikings jerseys cheap saints jerseys cheap giants jerseys cheap jets jerseys cheap eagles jerseys cheap steelers jerseys cheap 49ers jerseys ' ' '

The NFL has college football, the NBA has the D-League, baseball has the minor leagues and soccer has youth teams and secondary clubs. NFL Jerseys Outlet . The list goes on for almost every sport and competition; theres an established path that one can travel, if talented enough, to reach the highest rank in the world. That wasnt always the case for WWE. In the past, developmental territories were used to bring contracted talents up to speed, but there wasnt a defined route for someone whose ultimate dream was to compete at the elite level in the squared circle.Thats where Paul Triple H Levesque comes in.We needed to create the next generation of talent, and the success [and setup] of the WWE had kind of limited where we were getting these athletes from, said Levesque, the WWEs executive vice president of talent, live events and creative -- and a 14-time WWE world champion.People around the world still didnt know how to become a WWE superstar. When Levesque moved into the realm of talent development in 2011, he had the ability to begin implementing his vision for a modern WWE development system. The reality would ultimately exceed his own expectations. The first major step was the shuttering of FCW, the previous development territory in Tampa, Florida. In 2012, operations were moved northeast to Orlando. Those remaining in the WWE development system were brought into the newly christened NXT, which aired on a variety of streaming networks, including YouTube and Hulu, over the next two years and provided a platform for young stars like?Seth Rollins,?Big E?and?Bo Dallas, who became?NXT champions. The creation of the WWE Performance Center in 2013 was another bold step. Theres also a world-class strength and conditioning program and cutting-edge edit and production facilities on-site.I went back and looked at my career and asked, If I was a talent today, what would I need to succeed? Levesque said. And I tried to put that all together in one building.NXT talents now had a home with everything they could possibly need, in direct proximity to the facilities where they filmed their weekly shows. Top-level trainers -- veterans of the WWE and independent organizations from around the world -- were systematically brought in to help mold a growing influx of outside talent into the next generation of stars the business needed. It was a matter of providing every resource imaginable to these WWE hopefuls. You cant read it in a book, Levesque said. There had to be a place to go do it, and do it on a regular basis -- to get reps in our business and do it over and over again in front of live crowds. NXT provided that opportunity, and I knew that the bigger I could make that and the better I could make that, the better that opportunity would be for talent to come in [and learn].As some of the early NXT champions quickly earned their way onto the WWE main roster in prominent roles, more of the pieces that would ultimately lead to the explosion of NXTs popularity started to fall into place. The spark that ultimately helped drive the popularity of NXT was the creation of the WWE Network. The live-streaming service allows subscribers access to all of the companys pay-per-view events and thousands of hours of archived content for $9.99 per month. It was the perfect platform for a budding brand, with its ability to get content out to the kind of audience the WWE Network would ultimately serve -- the most rabid wrestling fans in the world, hungry for something new and exciting. When the opportunity to hold the first major live event on the WWE Network came around in February 2014, the entire landscape of WWE changed in a single night. To me, the turning point is when we did the first TakeOver -- Arrival -- and it was so well-received and so wildly successful, not only for NXT, the brand, but for the WWE Network, Levesque said. It just changed everything for us, because now, in the United States as well as every place else that we were being seen, NXT had a home and had a global base.As it started to become apparent how popular this show was, it became apparent that we could tour outside of Florida and we could go global.NXT and the WWE Network grew together over the next few years. As subscription numbers surged -- reaching as high as 1.82 million subscribers, 1.454 million of which were paid monthly users around the time of WrestleMania 32 in April -- NXT was pulling in more and more fans on a weekly basis. Live NXT events expanded throughout the U.S., with major NXT cards taking place in New York (during SummerSlam weekend), London and Dallas (WrestleMania 32 weekend).Another generation of future stars reached worldwide prominence in NXT during that time. Neville,?Sami Zayn,?Kevin Owens?and?Finn Balor?built up impressive résumés in their time at?Full?Sail?University, where NXT is filmed in Orlando. So did a group of women -- Charlotte,?Sasha Banks,?Becky Lynch?and?Bayley -- who would ultimately lead a main roster revolution.NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn was the culmination of a number of different NXT careers. Zayn, Owens, Charlotte, Banks and Lynch had already made main-roster appearances, with Brooklyn serving as a sendoff to the big leagues for most of them. When you look back a year ago, it was kind of a special time, Levesque said. All of a sudden we thought, Lets see if we can sell out Brooklyn for SummerSlam weekend. NXT sold out Barclays [Center] very quickly. If you look at that card, you had Sasha Banks on the top of that card. You had Finn Balor, you had Kevin Owens. Those guys, they all moved on and theyre now big stars.Losing talent is nothing new for NXT. Of the?seven NXT champions who came before current titleholder Samoa Joe, all are part of the Raw or SmackDown Live rosters, three have held multiple titles in the WWE and Balor, the latest former champion to debut, is facing off with another former champion, Rollins, for the new WWE Universal championship in his first pay-per-view main event at SummerSlam. The NXT womens champions have an even better record: Three of the four titleholders before Asuka have held either the womens or Divas championship since moving up to the main roster.Balor was one of seven NXT talents to move up thanks to the recent brand-split draft, along with American Alpha,?Mojo Rawley,?Alexa Bliss,?Nia Jax?and?Carmella -- taking another big chunk out of the established roster. When we did the draft, I got a lot of questions like, Well, doesnt this spell doom for NXT? Isnt this kind of whats wrong, whats inherently flawed in the system, [because] when you create something that is great, [WWE chairman] Vince [McMahon] is going to want to take it, or the company is going to want to take it and put it on the biggest platform possible? Levesque said. I feel the exact opposite way. Thats why Im building talent -- its to make them as successful and popular as possible.Theyre gone from NXT, but were still selling out Brooklyn in the Barclays Center, just with a different crop of people. Were selling out Brooklyn now with Shinsuke Nakamura and Samoa Joe, and Asuka and Bayley. Its totally different. The recruiting process has continued to evolve as those in charge of the process gain more experience and knowledge. By establishing more of a formalized system for bringing talent in and holding tryouts, WWE can now go out and spend the time to scout more promising talent than ever before. When we first started out, we were just bringing in bits and pieces here and there, but it actually started working out better bringing in people in groups, and trying them out in groups, Levesque said. Because then you had a group of people all learning from the same place. The one thing about the Performance Center and NXT is that we have people in there at every level.Long-time performers like Samoa Joe, Nakamura, Bobby Roode and Austin Aries have the ability to work in the ring as on-the-job trainers to younger, more inexperienced talents hoping to make their way. No matter who remains as the veteran guidance of the roster, NXT can continue to grow and change as each new class enters the Performance Center.NXT will constantly be fresh. Its like college football -- you get a new team every few years, Levesque said. There are somewhere between 70 and 100 talents, men and women, down in the Performance Center, that I feel all have the ability to be WWE superstars. If they dont, then we let them go -- but we feel they all have something to offer. Its about cultivating those [talents] and bringing them up at the right time to compete in NXT.Levesque has embraced that almost parental feeling of pride toward the graduates of NXT. He goes out of his way, both during their time in Florida and after they leave, to publicly recognize their major moments by taking photos and boasting about everything they accomplished.Im giving support to the people that need it as theyre coming up, and if me supporting them helps them to be seen differently or gets them seen by a broader fan base, thats great, Levesque said. Thats really what Im trying to do, expose them and give them that platform to grow and to succeed. At the end of the day, thats really what the Performance Center, NXT, all of it is about -- giving them the tools and the platform so they can go out there and live or die, succeed or fail on their own. The Oilers come in having lost five in a row (0-4-1) and 16 of their last 20 games, dropping a 2-1 decision to the Vancouver Canucks on Tuesday. DETROIT -- The Edmonton Oilers will be a big test for the Detroit Red Wings on Sunday at Joe Louis Arena.Edmonton (8-3-1) snapped a three-game losing streak with a 4-3 shootout win against the New York Islanders in Brooklyn on Saturday night. The Oilers rallied from a 2-0 deficit.Detroit (6-5-1) has lost four straight (0-3-1) after a 5-3 setback to the Winnipeg Jets at Joe Louis Arena on Friday night. The Red Wings main issue has been the lack of attention to detail, which has led to them allowing 14 goals in the past three games. We try to focus on attention to detail in practice, doing everything right every day, and we got to continue to make sure we do a great job with it, Detroit coach Jeff Blashill told on Saturday. If you dont have attention every day in life youre not going to have attention to detail in every game. Our attention to detail has to be perfect. If its perfect, were a really good hockey team.Said goaltender Jimmy Howard: I think its self-inflicted. Were playing good hockey and then we just have some mental breaks and its costing us right now.Blashill said his team surrendered nine scoring chances to Winnipeg on Friday, with six or seven being Grade A opportunities. He called those numbers unacceptable. We had as many (chances) as we gave up (Friday), he said. We just got to make sure when we do give up them up theyre earned and were not shooting ourselves in the ffoot. Cheap Authentic Football Jerseys. Youve just got to be aware of where he is on the ice, and he thinks the game really well. Other guys that dont have the puck, youve got to have your man because hell find open teammates.Theres a good chance the Oilers will be without forwards Jesse Puljujarvi (charley horse) and Zack Kassian (lower body), who both left Saturday nights game in the first period and did not return. Edmonton coach Todd McLellan said each is doubtful for Sunday. To stick with it, short bench like we had, said the Oilers Mark Letestu, who scored the only goal of the shootout Saturday night. Basically rolling three lines and mixing a guy in, to get it to overtime and give ourselves a chance to get that second point, it was a gutsy effort.Patrick Maroon, Leon Draisaitl and Milan Lucic scored in regulation for the Oilers.Howard will start in goal for Detroit.
